Tiempos de respuesta del display

Los tiempos de respuesta del display muestran lo rápido que puede cambiar la pantalla de un color al siguiente. Tiempos lentos de respuesta pueden llevar a imágenes persistentes alrededor de objetos en movimiento o a displays borrosos. Particularmente los aficionados a los juegos 3D frenéticos deberían usar una pantalla con tiempos de respuesta rápidos.

La pantalla mostró tiempos de respuesta relativamente lentos en nuestros tests pero podría ser demasiado lenta para los jugones.

Eso quiere decir que el tiempo de respuesta es peor que la media (21.5 ms) de todos los dispositivos testados.

Parpadeo de Pantalla / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Para atenuar el brillo de pantalla algunos portátiles están encendiendo y apagando la retroiluminación muy rápidamente. Esto se hace a una frecuencia que no debiera detectarse a simple vista. Si la frecuencia es demasiado lenta, la gente sensible podría experimentar problemas visuales, dolores de cabeza e incluso ver parpadeos.
Parpadeo de Pantalla / PWM detectado 50 Hz ≤ 60 % de brillo

La retroiluminación del display parpadea a 50 Hz (seguramente usa PWM - Pulse-Width Modulation) a un brillo del 60 % e inferior. Sobre este nivel de brillo no debería darse parpadeo / PWM.

La frecuencia de 50 Hz es bajísima, por lo que el parpadeo puede causar fatiga visual y cefaleas cuando se usa mucho tiempo.

Comparación: 53 % de todos los dispositivos testados no usaron PWM para atenuar el display. Si se usó, medimos una media de 17924 (mínimo: 5 - máxmo: 3846000) Hz.

Lenovo presenta un subportátil atractivo al mercado con su IdeaPad 510S-14ISK. Su buena relación precio-rendimiento debería atraer a algunos compradores. El cliente se lleva un dispositivo de 14" en una carcasa rígida que alberga dispositivos de entrada decentes por 799 Euros. El panel Full HD IPS tiene un estable ángulo de visión y ofrece una buena reproducción de imagen con iluminación homogénea. La Intel Core i5-6267U que también integra Intel Iris Graphics 550 tiene bastante reservas de potencia para el uso rutinario.

Lenovo ha hecho un buen trabajo con el IdeaPad 510S-14ISK en muchos aspectos. Sin embargo, los usuarios que suelan viajar mucho y necesiten un dispositivo con mucho aguante no quedarán contentos a la larga con el IdeaPad 510S-14ISK.

Lo malo sigue naturalmente a lo bueno, y hay algunos puntos de crítica que resumiremos aquí:

Lo primero que notamos desfavorablemente es el aguante de la batería. Al menos debería tener una capacidad de 45-50 Wh para ofrecer periodos sin enchufe más largos. El rendimiento total de CPU y GPU no puede usarse por completo. El Acer Aspire V3-372-57CW basado en una configuracion hardware similar es mucho más rápido en ciertos casos.  Sin embargo, eso no quiere decir que el IdeaPad 510S-14ISK sea lento. Las pérdidas de rendimiento son sólo evidentes en las pruebas y apenas causan diferencia en el uso rutinario. Además de eso, la sétima generación de procesadores Intel Core saldrá en un futuro próximo. Lenovo ya lo anuncia en su tienda online.
