Asus pone en la línea de salida un smartphone estilosísimo de 5.5" que también convence con sus valores internos. Con el procesador octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 y 4 GB de RAM, el ZenFone tiene montones de potencia que bastarán para todas las aplicaciones y juegos actuales. Lo que es más, tiene un panel FHD muy brillante y de estable ángulo de visión, y una cámara de 16MP que saca fotos satisfactorias. La buena configuración también incluye LTE, dual-SIM, puerto USB Type-C reversible que incluye tecnología Quick Charge, y un lector de huellas. El paquete lo remata Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, que Asus cubre con la nueva versión de su interfaz ZenUI. El gran aguante de batería y el bajo desarrollo de temperatura durante su uso no deben quedar sin mención.

Asus ha creado una pieza de diseño con su ZenFone 3. El smartphone de gama media parece bastante más caro de lo que en realidad es.

No hay mucho que criticar. Las teclas Android bajo la pantalla no están iluminadas, y la transimsión de datos por Wi-Fi es más lenta que rápida. Asus también es demasiado generoso con la configuración software y preinstala innecesariamente muchas apps en el smartphone. En el test, no pudimos mover apps a nuestras micro-SD ya que no se pudieron formatear como almacenamiento interno.
