As an entertainment machine, the notebook is capable of playing HD content smoothly and it has a large 500GB hard drive which is perfect for storing lots of media. The notebook has a slick aluminium frame and a compact design but unfortunately it is a little on the heavy side. Plus, you will also need to carry an external optical drive which adds to the bulk. Another problem are the built-in speakers which were incredibly soft and lacked punch. Also, the notebook isn’t really great for gaming.

EN→ES Archive.org versionWith a price tag of just under $600, the HP Pavilion dm3-3110us is certainly not going to be a high performance system. HP's Pavilion dm3-3110us is a mixed package. It certainly is affordable with prices easily found for under its $600 base price tag. It comes with a nice design and excellent keyboard. Bluetooth and eSATA are also standard which is uncommon for such a low priced laptop.

HP: Fundada en 1939, la empresa estadounidense es un importante fabricante de servidores e impresoras y una de las principales empresas de TI del mundo. Hasta 2015, la empresa se llamaba Hewlett-Packard Company. Tras una escisión, la división de informática pasó a llamarse HP Inc.
En 2023, HP tenía una cuota de mercado aproximada del 22% de las ventas mundiales de PC, lo que la situaba en el segundo puesto después de Lenovo.
Estos procesadores gráficos pueden mostrar únicamente juegos antiguos, fluidamente. Juegos actuales pueden ser presentados con detalles sustancialmente reducidos.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GPU integrado (memoria compartida) em el chipset GM45 (Montevina). Gracias a dos shaders más y una frecuencia de núcleo más alta, es mucho más rápido que el antiguo GMA X3100. Aun así, no es recomendable para jugadores (juegos DirectX 10 no son fluidos y pueden ser jugados sólo con configuraciones muy bajas). El procesador de video integrado es capaz de ayudar a decodificar videos HD (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2), como para una reproducción fluida de Blu-Ray con CPUs lentos.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330:
Radeon 4530 a menor velocidad de reloj con un consumo de corriente de 7 vatios (según AMD). Soporta DirectX 10.1 y Avivo HD para aceleración de videos HD.
ATI Radeon HD 3200: Chip de gráficos (en el chipset RS780M) integrado (Memoria compartida) basado en el núcleo de gráficos HD 2400. También presenta el motor de video UVD para decodificar videos HD. Además, soporta Hybrid CrossfireX (para aceleración) y PowerXpress(para ahorrar energía) con un adaptador de video dedicado (de la línea HD 3000).
NVIDIA GeForce G 105M: Una 9300M GS con mayor velocidad de reloj y por tanto un poco más rápida. Aún fabricada en 65 nm. Soporta Hybrid SLI con HybridPower y GeForceBoost (junto con el chipset Nvidia correcto).
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M: El Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD (en ocasiones llamado también GMA X4500 HD u otras combinaciones) es un adaptador gráfico integrado compatible con DirectX 10 en los chipset GM45, GE45 y GS45 de la plataforma Centrino 2 (Montevina). El chip no tiene memoria de video dedicada, pero toma memoria dinámicamente de la principal (hasta 384 MB).
La versión a 400 MHz de la 4500MHD encontrada en los chipsets GL40 y GS40, se llama GMA 4500M (sin el HD) y tiene un peor rendimiento en juegos 3D y descodificación de video.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5430: Inminente chip DirectX 11 con el nombre en clave de Park LP (¿LP de "low power"?). Se comenta que el chip solo necesitaría menos de 8 vatios y está por tanto pensado para portatiles pequeños y finos.
ATI Radeon HD 4225:
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics: Tarjeta gráfica integrada en las nuevas CPUs Arrandale (Core i3 / i5 / i7 Dual Core). Dependiendo del modelo y de Turbo Boost, la GMA HD tiene una velocidad de reloj entre 166 y 766 MHz.

Intel Celeron Dual-Core:
SU2300: CPU dual core de nivel básico para portátiles pequeños. Ofrece apenas un rendimiento bajo debido a la baja frecuencia y debido a la marca Celeron algunos recursos para ahorrar energía están deshabilitados.
AMD Athlon Neo X2:
L335: Procesador dual core de nivel básico para sub-portátiles pequeños y delgados. Basado en la antigua combinación K10 / K8 producida en 65nm y comparable con un Core 2 Duo de 1,2-1,3 GHz (performance wise).
Intel Pentium Dual Core: El procesador Double Core con una muy buena relación de rendimiento a consumo de corriente. Los 2 MB L2 Cache son utilizados juntos al doble. La capacidad máxima de 31 watts es únicamente 4 watts mayor que la Pentium M (predecesor).
SU4100: Procesador dual core de nivel básico para sub-portátiles delgados y livianos. Debido a l nombre de Pentium, el CPU puede tener menos recursos de ahorro de energía que los procesadores Core 2 Duo.
Intel Core 2 Duo: Este es el sucesor Core Duo y el Core Solo con un pipeline más largo y con una velocidad entre 5-20% sin mayor consumo de energía. Adicional al diseño de Core Duo existe un cuarto decodificador, una unidad SSE ampliada y una unidad lógica aritmética (ALU) adicional.
Sus características son: 2 núcleos (cores), una amplificación de comando de 64-bit EM64T y 2 o 4 MB L2 Cache y 291 millones de transistores, que son acabados en 65nm. Mas allá de esto, todos los tipos soportan técnicas "Execute Disable Bit", SSSE3 (SSE4), Enhanced Speedstep, LaGrande y la mayoría de técnicas de virtualizacion (VT) Vanderpool.
El Core 2 Duo para laptops es idéntico a los procesadores Core 2 Duo para desktops, pero los procesadores para notebooks trabajan con tensiones más bajas (0.95 a 1188 Volt) y un Frontside bus clock (1066 contra 667 MHz). El rendimiento de laptops cuena con una frecuencia de 20-25% más baja que PCs Desktop debido a una frecuencia más baja de Frontside bus y los discos duros más lentos.
SU7300: Lento procesador dual core con un TDP bajo de 10 Watts.
AMD Turion Neo X2:
L625: CPU Dual-Core para portátiles económicos con un controlador integrado de memoria DDR2 y basado en el núcleo K8. Rendimiento similar al de un Core 2 Duo de 1,2 GHz.

380UM: El Core i3-380UM es un procesador de ultra bajo voltaje energéticamente eficiente para portátiles sin Turbo Boost y funciones AES (comparado con los CPUs i5 e i7). Gracias al Hyperthreading, 4 threads pueden ser procesados simultáneamente. Una tarjeta de video integrada (Intel HD Graphics con 166-500 MHz) y un controlador de memoria DDR3-800 también están incluidos en el paquete.
Intel Pentium:
U5400: CPU dual core de nivel básico de la serie Arrandale. No soporta Turbo Boost (para el CPU), Hyperthreading, Virtualización y AES. Debido a la baja velocidad de la frecuencia, el rendimiento es apenas suficiente para aplicaciones no exigentes.
