Intel P9700

La CPU Intel Core 2 Duo P9700 es una CPU doble nucleo de gama alta para portatiles (en el momento de su presentación). Es el modelo P Core 2 Duo más rapido y su rendimiento es comparable al Core 2 Duo T9600. Aunque el TDP es considerablemente mejor (28 contra 35 vatios)

Debido a la alta velocidad de reloj, el P9700 ofrece suficiente rendimiento para juegos exigentes (en 2009) y aplicaciones.

El P9700 usa un nucleo Penryn que presenta 2 unidades de enteros, 1 de coma flotante, 1 de carga y 1 de almacenamiento en un pipeline de 14 estados. Debido a la tecnología Wide Dynamic Execution, el nucleo es capaz de ejecutar hasta cuatro instrucciones de forma simultanea.

La tecnología SpeedStep Mejorada es capaz de ralentizar dinamicamente el nucleo (en modo reposo)

El Core 2 Duo P9700 puede usarse en un Socket P con 479 pins.
