Lenovo set out to compete with Chromebooks with this laptop, and that's exactly the kind of performance you can expect—so make sure you get it at a Chromebook-style cost. I'd say between $250-300 and not a penny more. Otherwise you're better off looking at some other options, either higher end (like the Toshiba C55-C) or lower (like the Lenovo S21e or Acer Aspire Switch 10 E).

It appears to be sturdy and solid with few design flaws, but one should be considered seriously and we are referring to the motherboard placement. Since the notebook uses a fanless design, because the CPU architecture allows, and a bit more heat is produced after prolonged usage resulting in overheating where palms rest and where the touchpad is located. It can be unpleasant. Finally, the battery life was a bit of a letdown especially considering the low-voltage CPU and energy-efficient HD TN panel. A larger battery capacity wouldn’t have hurt the budget, though.

The smaller size may be appealing if you're going to frequently take this system with you, but you might be better off investing in an ultraportable laptop designed for the road.

Core i3 low-cost. Los portátiles del sector low-cost hoy día suelen ir equipados en su mayoría con procesadores Braswell o APUs AMD. Ninguno de ambos es el más fuerte de su clase. Lenovo ha tomado una aproximación diferente y ha instalado un procesador Core i3 de la generación Broadwell en su IdeaPad.

Lenovo:
Lenovo ("Le" de leyenda inglesa, novo (latín) por nuevo) se fundó en 1984 como empresa china de comercio de ordenadores. En 2004 era el mayor fabricante de portátiles de China y, tras adquirir la división de PC de IBM en 2005, el cuarto del mundo. Además de ordenadores de sobremesa y portátiles, la empresa fabrica monitores, proyectores, servidores, etc., y está especializada en el desarrollo, fabricación y comercialización de electrónica de consumo, ordenadores personales, software, soluciones empresariales y servicios relacionados.
En 2016, la empresa ocupó el primer puesto mundial en ventas de ordenadores. Seguirá siéndolo en 2023, con cerca del 23% de cuota de mercado mundial. Las líneas de productos más importantes son Thinkpad, Legion e Ideapad.
En 2011, adquirió una participación mayoritaria en Medion AG, un fabricante europeo de hardware informático. En 2014 compró Motorola Mobility, lo que dio a Lenovo un impulso en el mercado de los smartphones.
