Una vez repasadas todas las características de la Fire HD 10 2021, es el momento de decir para quién creemos que este dispositivo. Ya hemos estado viendo que no es un dispositivo particularmente potente o rápido (sobre todo debido a su memoria eMMC y la potencia del SoC), por lo que no es óptimo para trabajar y, desde luego, apps pesadas de edición de foto, por ejemplo, serán desesperantes. Los materiales no son los mejores, y tampoco los altavoces, pero lo cierto es que si tenéis servicios de Amazon (Amazon Prime, vaya) y queréis una tablet con pantalla grande y enfocada 100% al entretenimiento y consumo de contenidos, es la mejor opción ahora mismo. Para ver pelis, series (en Prime Video hay buenísimas) y leer es muy recomendable e incluso serviría como tablet para los pequeños de la casa (siempre que tengáis un ojo puesto en el contenido que pueden reproducir.

Con esta actualización de su Fire HD 10 Amazon ha retocado algunas especificaciones de su tablet más potente aunque estos cambios lo cierto es que parecen quedarse algo cortos para una actualización dos años después. En lo que sí sigue acertando de pleno Amazon es en la filosofía del producto que ofrece unas prestaciones y una calidad por encima de lo que se puede esperar de un dispositivo de ese precio y con esas características. Quizás los dos puntos más interesantes que se han mejorado es la nueva pantalla más resistente, por lo que se puede convertir en un tablet atractivo para un uso escolar o en otros entornos «difíciles», y en el aumento de memoria que si bien no supone una mejora espectacular sí que sube el rendimiento. Lo que sigue siendo un hándicap es la no presencia de la tienda de aplicaciones y el ecosistema de utilidades de Google pero la verdad es que por 150 euros muy difícil encontrar un tablet comparable en el mercado.

I sound like a hypocrite with the rating I just slapped down, but if you want or need what each part of the bundle provides, why the heck not? Buy the darn Fire tablet for playing videos or reading ebooks. Maybe you'll use the wireless keyboard with it. Maybe you'll pull it from the folio and use it with something else. That's the magic of Bluetooth after all. The same thing goes with the Microsoft 365 subscription: who said you had to use it exclusively with the Fire HD 10? We're not the Fire OS Police (ha). You might as well use Office on something more responsive. If you aren’t familiar with Fire tablets, they can provide the same basic functionality as your smartphone on a larger screen. And with Amazon’s brand at the forefront, there are certain things I’d do here that I wouldn’t on most other tablets like read an ebook or watch Prime Video.

It's just a matter of how far you're going to push it.
