That’s certainly not to say this is bad system. Lenovo has delivered a laptop which is ergonomically sound, responsive, thermally efficient and generally effective. But in gaming we want for more. Sure some may be happy with lower, capable, frame rates at this price point. But we’re sure that isn’t the majority. Who wants a gaming laptop that can get by? Some perhaps, but not us.

The Legion Y520 is going to arrive on Philippine shores starting. While this isn’t quite we were hoping for, it’s a decent amount of laptop for the price. Even with the competition playing around this amount, the Legion still makes a compelling enough case with Lenovo’s brand, great build quality, and (still) reasonable price.

Finally, we would like to address the improvements and the remaining issues with the cooling system. The inner cooling design hasn’t changed at all – two cooling fans positioned right next to each other and two heat pipes connected to CPU and GPU sharing heat. The last two models – the Y50 and Y700 – offered identical cooling solution resulting in high inner and outer temperatures and even thermal throttling of the CPU. Unfortunately, the latter is still an issue with the Legion Y520, although, not as prominent. Also, temperatures across the interior are much lower than before due to the new vent placement assuring better airflow.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile:
Tarjeta gráfica convencional basada en la arquitectura Pascal de Nvidia y sucesora de la GeForce GTX 960M. Se fabrica en un proceso de 14 nm en Samsung y las especificaciones técnicas son muy similares a la versión de desktop.
Estas tarjetas también deben ser capaces de aguantar todos los juegos actuales, pero la mayoría de ellos en configuraciones de detalles medios y bajos y con bajas resoluciones. Juegos más antiguos, o menos exigentes todavía pueden ser jugados con buena calidad de gráficos.
