EN→ES Archive.org versionAt first glance this is a very attractive laptop, but the design and performance aren’t quite what we’d want for this money.

EN→ES Archive.org versionThe Acer Spin 7 gets an awful lot right; it's lovely to look at, the trackpad is a joy to use, and it's one of the thinnest convertibles we've ever seen. However, it's a machine that is built on compromise, which ultimately proves to be its downfall.

EN→ES Archive.org versionWe can’t deny how lightweight and configurable this convertible is… and yet it’s not quite as spiffy nor good value as some of the competition. However, the fact that it’s able to operate in several modes means you get a lot more options for the higher price.

EN→ES Archive.org versionAs assembled, the Acer Spin 7 is best as a versatile system for home or commuter use, where you won’t stray too far, for too long, from a wall outlet and will use it more for entertainment pursuits than serious graphics work. But business buyers with a deep budget for a vanity machine might look at it, too. It will impress clients, and garner envious looks on your airline tray table—at least, unless the passenger next to you pulls out a Lenovo Yoga 910.

EN→ES Archive.org versionAll in all, the Acer Spin 7 a fairly good 2-in-1 that works well both as a laptop and a tablet. At a price of Rs 1,09,900, we think it's a pretty good deal. But just in case you're looking for alternatives in a similar price range, you can go for Acer's own Swift 7 or the HP Spectre.

EN→ES Archive.org versionThere’s a lot to like about the Spin 7: it’s thin and stupendously light while offering up a nice, big screen. Many users will be fine with the middling performance, too. However, the battery life isn’t as long as I expected and there are a couple of issues with the build quality.

EN→ES Archive.org versionIn the end, the Acer Spin 7 isn't too shabby. It is the thinnest convertible-hybrid laptop we've seen so far, it looks good, and it has adequate power to do tasks while still lasting quite a while on battery power. But our Editors' Choice Lenovo Yoga 910 does it all better, and for $50 less. Keep the Spin 7 on your short list, especially if you dig the ultrathin chassis, but the Yoga 910 is a sexier (and longer-lasting) choice, even if it is a touch heavier.
