The only major drawbacks come as a direct result of this machine being so powerful. The $1,000 Core i7 configuration we tested is faster than most systems in its class. Overall, we prefer the HP Spectre x360 for its longer battery life and lighter all-aluminum design, but the Inspiron 13 Special Edition deftly balances price and performance, with some seriously sharp looks.
