Stunning quad-core power at a great price, but mobility is inevitably flawed. Dell's Studio 15 greatly impressed us last year by combining power, usability and features at a truly affordable price, and even won our award for best laptop of 2009. Building on its already strong foundation, the Studio 1557 makes stunning quadcore performance truly accessible to the consumer market. While the restrictions it places on mobility are unfortunate, they were inevitable and do little to flaw this impressive portable.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570: GPU de clase media baja que presenta un bajo número de shaders y un bus de memoria de bits y una alta velocidad de reloj. Similar a la Radeon 4550. Soporta Avivo HD y DirectX 10.1.
Estos procesadores gráficos pueden mostrar únicamente juegos antiguos, fluidamente. Juegos actuales pueden ser presentados con detalles sustancialmente reducidos.

720QM: El Core i7-720QM es el Core i7 Quad Core más lento en 2009 y tiene velocidades entre 1.6 y 2.8 GHz (debido al modo Turbo). Por tanto, combina las ventajas de una CPU de cuatro nucleos lenta con las de un solo nucleo. Comparada con las rápidas CPUs Core i7, el 720QM solo presenta 6MB de cache de nivel 3.
