Arguably Huawei's best effort in the smartphone market till date, the P9 has a lot going for it. The smartphone has fairly powerful innards, and a dual-camera setup that (in the right conditions) is capable of capturing some amazing shots, all encased in a chassis that's a sight to behold.

Finally, ‘Magazine Unlock’ brings up a different image every time you see the lockscreen – always making the phone seem fresh, potentially. Though with the speed of fingerprint unlocking via the back sensor, you may never see the images, making the lockscreen itself almost irrelevant. Maybe it will go the way of the app drawer in time? I don’t want to seem too down on the Huawei P9. If this was an Honor device (Huawei’s consumer brand) and put out at £300 then I’d consider it fabulous value for money and a top buy. At £450 (in the UK, including VAT) though, it’s within striking distance of the top tier devices which out-gun it in terms of screen, imaging, speaker, performance, and brand.

Though with the speed of fingerprint unlocking via the back sensor, you may never see the images, making the lockscreen itself almost irrelevant. Maybe it will go the way of the app drawer in time? I don’t want to seem too down on the Huawei P9. If this was an Honor device (Huawei’s consumer brand) and put out at £300 then I’d consider it fabulous value for money and a top buy. At £450 (in the UK, including VAT) though, it’s within striking distance of the top tier devices which out-gun it in terms of screen, imaging, speaker, performance, and brand.

El P9 Lite 2017 ofrece ligeras mejoras en rendimiento y memoria frente al P9 Lite del año pasado. Tampoco encontraremos muchos cambios en el diseño del equipo. Pero sí noté mejoras en batería y cámara del teléfono. Razón suficiente para actualizar? Pues depende cuánto valoran ustedes estos apartados; personalmente, el P9 Lite original me sigue pareciendo un buen teléfono por lo que, si ya tienen el modelo anterior, no existen muchas razones para actualizar. Si, por otro lado, no renuevan de equipo hace un par de años, o vienen del P8 Lite original, o una gama inferior, el P9 Lite es una excelente alternativa por el precio.
