Llegados a este punto, toca tomar la decisión: ¿Realme 12 Pro o Realme 12 Pro+? ¿499,99 euros o 399,99 euros? Sí, es cierto que tienen problemas en rendimiento si se compara con equipos del mismo rango de precio o incluso inferior y la carga rápida baja respecto a la anterior generación, pero el conjunto en general está muy equilibrado, gracias, sobre todo, a su genial apartado fotográfico. Ahora bien, si quieres mejor potencia y una cámara algo mejor, el Realme 12 Pro+ es para ti, pero si buscas un precio algo más ajustado y no te importa un rendimiento algo menor y una cámara más modesta, el 12 Pro es la opción ideal. Tanto el Realme 12 Pro como el Realme 12 Pro+ son perfectos si buscas buen diseño, autonomía y pantalla a buen precio y van a por todas en la gama media. El 12 Pro+ tiene un mejor rendimiento y una cámara más potente, pero el 12 Pro recorta poco y tiene un coste menor.

Siempre critico la innecesaria adición de cámaras secundarias en los móviles que no sirven para nada. En esta ocasión la de macro ha desaparecido, ha mantenido la de ultra gran angular que es bastante resultona para el precio del móvil, y ha añadido una bastante más interesante de zum óptico de tres aumentos. Es una gran adición porque además es de 64 Mpx, así que permite sacar fotos muy nítidas de objetos que estén más lejos. El apartado fotográfico está bastante mejor cubierto para lo que cuesta el 12 Pro+. El 12 Pro+ de Realme me resulta un modelo bastante mejor que el 11 Pro+ para el PVPR de lanzamiento. Luego los móviles bajan, por lo que el PVPR realmente solo sirve para sacar cuánto te va a tocar esperar para que baje a un PVP razonable para lo que llevan. Pero teniendo en cuenta el gran diseño que tiene el 12 Pro+, la calidad de pantalla, cámaras o procesador, los 469 euros de PVPR no están mal si no puedes esperar a renovar tu móvil.

Su diseño puede gustar más o menos, pero la calidad de los materiales es excelente; al igual que su pantalla, que aunque tiene algún que otro punto negativo, como la doble curvatura, ofrece una nitidez excelente. Sus cámaras, si bien no son de las mejores en este rango de precio, cumplen en prácticamente cualquier situación. Aquí Realme juega con una ventaja frente al resto de smartphones de 500 euros: la cámara periscopio, que está presente únicamente en los móviles de gama alta. De nuevo, esta cámara no iguala los resultados que podemos obtener en, por ejemplo, el Honor Magic 6 Pro, pero no podemos pedir mucho más por este precio.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, which is the biggest competitor of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, also has a largely similar performance overall. So, unless you are particularly a fan of Xiaomi phones, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G definitely is a battery value for money.

Llegados a este punto, toca tomar la decisión: ¿Realme 12 Pro o Realme 12 Pro+? ¿499,99 euros o 399,99 euros? Sí, es cierto que tienen problemas en rendimiento si se compara con equipos del mismo rango de precio o incluso inferior y la carga rápida baja respecto a la anterior generación, pero el conjunto en general está muy equilibrado, gracias, sobre todo, a su genial apartado fotográfico. Ahora bien, si quieres mejor potencia y una cámara algo mejor, el Realme 12 Pro+ es para ti, pero si buscas un precio algo más ajustado y no te importa un rendimiento algo menor y una cámara más modesta, el 12 Pro es la opción ideal. Tanto el Realme 12 Pro como el Realme 12 Pro+ son perfectos si buscas buen diseño, autonomía y pantalla a buen precio y van a por todas en la gama media. El 12 Pro+ tiene un mejor rendimiento y una cámara más potente, pero el 12 Pro recorta poco y tiene un coste menor.

La diferencia de rendimiento en juegos no es tampoco especialmente importante. Sí que el 12 Pro+ 5G puede sacarle un 10-20 % más de rendimiento al 12 Pro 5G, pero en la práctica es que la mayoría de juegos de móviles van a funcionar igual. Por ejemplo, Diablo Immortal, a la misma calidad gráfica 'muy alta', está bloqueado a los mismo 30 f/s en ambos móviles. Tampoco va a haber juegos que aprovechen los 120 Hz de la pantalla, por lo que el procesador no es un elemento que los diferencie claramente. Si tuviera que decantarme personalmente por uno de los dos, lo haría por este 12 Pro 5G, básicamente porque la diferencia de precio realmente no compensa frente a lo que aporta el 12 Pro+ 5G. El 12 Pro 5G ya es un móvil muy bueno, aunque si Realme le prestara más atención a la actualización de sus móviles realmente serían mucho mejores. Los tiempos de cambiar de móvil Android cada uno o dos años quedaron en el pasado, y ahora se espera mucho más. Sobre todo de móviles con un PVPR de 400 y 500 euros como estos.

It is a great package with decent specs, and should easily last you a couple of years.

The Realme 12+ is an interesting device. It definitely has an exquisite design with standout aesthetics. There is plenty more to like here, such as solid rear cameras, a very competent stereo speaker setup, pretty good battery life, and competitive charging speed. The Dimensity 7050 inside the Realme 12+ may not be the fastest chip around but it's hard to find something more powerful for that kind of cash. It has enough power to run the UI and most daily tasks and apps smoothly, but you can't expect much more. The Realme 12+ also handles its high refresh rate very poorly, with practically no dynamic switching and very limited high refresh rate gaming abilities. Even so, the Realme 12+ seems like a good value device at its current price point, and it's got our outright recommendation.
