El Satellite W30t-A-101 tiene mayormente los mismos puntos fuertes y débiles que el W30Dt-A-101. Hay diferencias, empero, ya que están equipados con diferentes CPUs y GPUs. El W30t tiene rendimientos CPU y GPU significativamente mejores, pero necesita más energía. La duración de batería es algo inferior y, a diferencia del W30Dt, hace falta un ventilador para enfriar el procesador. El display del W30t no es tan brillante como el que usa el W30Dt, pero tiene un mayor contraste.
El HP Split X2 es una alternativa equivalente al Satellite. Sin embargo, el HP va equipado con un SSD más rápido.
En general, el concepto convertible no termina de convencer. En principio, es un tablet con un mal teclado que conectarle, todo por 800 Euros. Hay portátiles de 13.3" más baratos, potentes y duraderos. Por ejemplo, el Dell Latitude 3340 (Core i5-4200U, HD Graphics 4400), actualmente a 600 Euros.
