That brings me to the end of my review. And guess what? The Tab S11 is easily my favorite Android tablet right now. I’ve reviewed a bunch of budget and midrange Samsung tablets at this point, although after daily-driving this thing for a couple of weeks, it’s hard not to see what I’ve been missing out on all those years. I always had to deal with different “ifs” and “buts” with those midrange Galaxy Tabs—and man—this is a whole new world. I also love how Samsung has course-corrected with its tablet lineup this time. ‘Cause if you remember, there was no “Galaxy Tab S10” last year. Which means you literally didn’t have a choice if all you wanted was a relatively compact tablet that’s easy to carry around.

EN→ESOn the surface, Samsung's flagship Galaxy Tab Series doesn't seem like a particularly good value. But you should always take Samsung's tablet list prices with a grain of salt, as it frequently offers discounts and device trade-in options to bring the price down. Not everybody has something to trade-in -- and the trade-in value tends to be best for older Galaxy Tabs -- but some of the value of owning a Tab is that once you buy one, you can trade it in for a nice chunk of change even three years later (as I said, the Tab S8 Plus would fetch $450 in trade-in value while the Tab S8 is listed at $400). Apple's latest iPad Pro models are more powerful devices, but in the Android tablet world, anyway, there really isn't anything quite as sleek or slim with a great display that offers excellent performance as the Tab S11, which is why we've awarded it an Editors' Choice.

EN→ESIf you’ve eyed the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s massive screen and equally hefty price tag with wary eyes, the Tab S11 is a fantastic compromise. Performance, features and software support are just as good, it’s much lighter and more manageable, and the price is much easier to stomach than the Ultra’s four-figure sum. Before you pull the trigger, however, it’s worth considering your priorities. System-agnostic users, for instance, can get better value for money from the iPad Air (2025) – as long as you don’t mind the 60Hz display. Equally, if you care more about a screen’s size than it using AMOLED technology, the 13.3in display on the OnePlus Pad 3 is a better fit for you – and you get stronger performance and exceptional battery life, to boot.

Whether you're a gamer, movie fan, mobile worker or just proper rich and fancy something considerably smaller and lighter than a laptop, there's loads to love here. Mediatek's Dimensity 9400 Plus powers the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11, same as the Ultra model. This is ideal for gaming as Wuthering Waves plays perfectly, even on higher visual settings. Unlike the iPad Pro, you've got seriously impressive multi-tasking abilities including a dedicated desktop mode and DeX support. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 sports a crisp, colourful and supremely bright display. Plus the beefy speakers are excellent for movies. Samsung has slapped on its usual feature-filled OneUI launcher, plus all those AI features you either love or couldn't care less about. And the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 is good enough to last a full working day, or a full five hours if you're gaming on the likes of Wuthering Waves non-stop.

EN→ESViewed in a vacuum, the Galaxy Tab S11 is an excellent tablet. Compact, lightweight, and powerful, it is one of the better ways to consume media at home in a practical way. It boasts some very decent battery life and has one of the better displays on a compact Android tablet. However, when you consider previous Galaxy Tab S devices, it's not an enormous improvement. In fact, you should probably not consider upgrading from the older Galaxy Tab S9, especially if you experience no outstanding issues with that one. Overall, we'd recommend the Galaxy Tab S11 to anyone willing to experience Android and Samsung's latest One UI on a slightly larger screen than the average Samsung device and especially to users who enjoy experiencing media in the best way possible.

We appreciate the included S Pen and find Samsung's Galaxy AI useful. If you're looking for a portable tablet that does it all, the Tab S11 is a great choice. However, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is our Editors’ Choice winner, thanks to its extended battery life and superb larger screen, which make it a great machine for productivity.

EN→ESThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 is another extremely competent tablet with very few weaknesses. It’s fast, well built, packs a beautiful AMOLED display, and bundles in a well-integrated S Pen stylus. However, we’ve been saying similar things about Samsung’s top tablets for years now, and the Galaxy Tab S11 doesn’t so much as threaten to attempt anything new. That’s fine – the tablet format in general is pretty static these days. However, rival Android tablet makers have responded to this by offering more for less, and the Galaxy Tab S11 feels ever so slightly expensive. It’s the most complete 11-inch Android tablet out there, and the closest equivalent to the 11-inch iPad Pro you’re likely to find. But it’s not as compelling as that formidable Apple rival, while in Android terms you can get a broadly similar (and in some ways superior) experience for significantly less.

EN→ESIf you don't want to choose an Apple iPad as your tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11 is probably the best Android alternative. At the same time, the comprehensive and customizable OneUI operating system with its two AI integrations, battery-free S-Pen, and cheaper storage options are unique selling points that Apple cannot match. In our opinion, viewing the Tab S11 only as an iPad clone is too short-sighted and narrow minded. The performance was very good by Android's standards, even if it is still inferior to the iPad models powered by desktop processors. The build quality was excellent, as were the resolution and brightness of the display. With the latter, however, we were surprised that color changes occured when the viewing angle was changed.

EN→ESIf you’ve been waiting for Samsung to bring back a premium 11-inch tablet with a great screen, an S Pen, IP68, and microSD — this is it. The Tab S11 seems to nail the fundamentals and then layers on genuinely useful software like DeX Extended Mode. The iPad Pro M4 Tandem OLED panels are fantastic, the M4 chip is a monster, and the accessory ecosystem — new Magic Keyboard with function row, Apple Pencil Pro with squeeze and gyro — work well. But you have to pay $100 more, and you lose things like the microSD expandable storage. If you live in Final Cut or Logic and want those exact apps, you know where you’re going. If you want a capable, flexible Android tablet that travels light, plays to Samsung’s strengths, and won’t make you pay extra for the stylus, the Tab S11 makes a very strong case.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 may be the less flashy, smaller of the two new Samsung tablets, but it's arguably the perfect size for digital nomads and on-the-go remote workers. It weighs just one pound, and measures about 0.22-inches (5.5mm) thick. There's an 11-inch Samsung AMOLED 120Hz display, and it's powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus. The Galaxy Tab S11 retails in Hong Kong for HK$6,288, and in the US at $800. It comes with the S-Pen Stylus, though the keyboard is a separate purchase.

EN→ESThe differences between the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra mainly boil down to the size. The bigger Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra comes equipped with a laptop-like 14.6-inch display and a bigger battery. This model also has а slightly faster Dimensity 9400+ silicon. There's also a 16GB/1TB memory option, but that pretty much concludes the differences. The vanilla Galaxy Tab S11 comes in a smaller package and weighs less. The battery is smaller, but this comes from the size. If you don't need the huge screen estate of the Ultra, and you like to travel light, the Tab S11 might be the better choice. Stay tuned for a final verdict soon.

While the Tab S11 line still comes in two sizes, Samsung kept the jumbo 14.6-inch Ultra but dropped the 12.4-inch Plus in favor of a smaller, more affordable 11-inch model. CNET Editor David Carnoy likes that move and gives you the full skinny on both new Android tablets after getting some hands-on time with them at a launch event in New York.

EN→ESThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 looks to be a more compact version of the Tab S11 Ultra with no real compromise. You get the same top-end screen tech, processing power and software – just in a more compact, transportable form factor. There are questions about performance compared to the competition that need to be answered, but Samsung could have a winner on its hands with its premium small-screen entry. That said, I’ll need to spend much more time testing and using the Tab S11 before I can deliver my final verdict, so head back very soon.

EN→ESYou will have noticed that there’s no Tab S11 Plus this year and that’s a shame because it provided a direct rival for Apple’s 13in iPad Pro tablet. With that gone, the iPad Pro’s closest rival, certainly among Samsung Tablets, is the rather large Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which is considerably less wieldy. Still, given that it is slated to cost the same as the iPad Pro at £1,199 you could argue that you’re getting rather more tablet for your money. That’s especially true as Samsung continues to include its S Pen stylus in the box and, rather generously, is also throwing in a keyboard case for free for all customers who order one before the 28th of October. Either way, we’ll be testing both new tablets and reviewing them in full just as soon as we can get our hands on review samples so please be sure to check back in the next few weeks as we deliver our final verdict.

EN→ESWhen I’m watching a movie on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, playing a game, or running two apps side-by-side on its 14.6-inch screen, I absolutely love it. If you’re consuming any form of media, it’s going to look better on the Tab S11 Ultra than virtually any other tablet or smartphone — no question about it. If that’s your top priority in your next tablet purchase and you aren’t concerned about ergonomics or price, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a fantastic choice. But for everyone outside that group, it’s difficult to recommend the Tab S11 Ultra over its smaller, cheaper competitors. Those competitors start from within Samsung itself. The Galaxy Tab S11 ($799.99 at Amazon) is a downsized version of its Ultra sibling, with its 11-inch display being much more manageable yet still big enough to enjoy your apps and games.

EN→ESThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is an impressive piece of engineering, but it’s a specialist device and certainly not for everyone. It pays to do your due diligence before deciding whether it’s your one portable productivity device to rule them all. Android can hold its own these days on the productivity front, but you need to be absolutely sure the S11 Ultra handles everything you need, and you won’t find yourself pining for specialist desktop features and software when you’re away from your desk. Even if Android does meet your needs, if you’d mostly use it like a laptop – relying heavily on the keyboard cover – you need to consider what $2,500 will buy you in terms of a Windows machine or Apple MacBook. Finally, if you’re only deterred by the S11 Ultra’s price tag, then perhaps consider the 11-inch standard Samsung Galaxy Tab S11.

EN→ESCredit where credit’s due, Samsung took it upon themselves to improve the productivity experience of Android with DeX on their Galaxy Tab S series. With the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Samsung has introduced new features to make productivity on its latest and greatest tablet more seamless. But at the same time, they made changes that placed new stumbling blocks. Maybe those hitches could have been overlooked if not for the price. But as it stands, this is the reality.

EN→ESThere’s no doubting that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a very capable tablet. It offers an excellent display, making for a fantastic content consumption platform, while it’s large enough for all manner of light work tasks too. I’ve been happy to browse, write and work through emails on the Tab S11 Ultra, but streaming video steals the show. As a travel companion, I’ve absolutely loved it. But separate it from the keyboard and it’s really hard to get on with. The reduction in thickness and weight is welcomed, but it’s still too big to hold one-handed, and propping it up is tricky. Where you’ll casually hold a 10-inch tablet, at 14.6 inches, it’s just too big to use like that.In that sense, nothing much has changed with Samsung’s Ultra tablet. I love using it, really enjoy the performance, and can’t fault the quality of the display.

EN→ESIf you’re looking for an Android tablet with a super-sized OLED panel and long-lasting battery life, you can’t go wrong with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. It’s effectively the same tablet as previous models, only with a faster processor, but that’s not altogether bad since it’s still a lovely slate with a gorgeous screen. Though the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is brilliant on its own and wonderful for watching videos and movies, it can’t function as a laptop replacement due to the less effective DeX Mode and touchpad-less keyboard peripheral. You’re better off with the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 5 that’s currently on sale for $1,149. The pricier iPad Pro M5 is also a stronger option if you want a tablet to double as a laptop. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is less of a laptop replacement than its predecessors, but as a tablet, it’s still worth checking out.

EN→ESSamsung’s Ultra-badged tablets have gotten progressively more niche as they’ve grown in size. The Tab S11 Ultra hasn’t done anything to change that. It’s impressively powerful, lasts ages per charge, has an especially slick version of Android that really makes multitasking a breeze, and that screen is just delightful, so is fully deserving of a five star score. However, it costs an eye-watering amount of money, even before you pick up the official keyboard cover. You could spend the same on an ultraportable laptop that runs Windows, and so will be able to run a wider array of industry-standard creative software. If all the arty apps you personally require can be found on the Play Store, then this is the ultimate Android tablet. But for most people, the smaller Galaxy Tab S11 will do everything just as well, at a slightly smaller scale – and considerably less cash.

EN→ESThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra continues to offer a first-class tablet experience, mired only by the fact that it's probably too large for many owners – and too expensive. Considering that you can buy a Galaxy Book for less (with a larger display), you might pause and ask yourself exactly what you're buying an Ultra tablet for. From a content consumption perspective, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is fantastic: it's hard to fault this 14.6-inch display, which is the clear reason for purchase. As a laptop replacement, however, the Ultra struggles for the same reasons all tablets do – it can't run all the apps that a laptop can. But, with DeX connectivity, it's still a strong alternative. Overall, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is delightful to use. In the same breath, its main appeal – its sheer size – is the reason it can become impractical. I love the big-screen entertainment factor, but think a keyboard and case are a necessity.

EN→ESWell, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a mixed bag. On one hand, it's a big and fast tablet with a pretty lovely screen and very decent battery life. It also charges faster than I anticipated. Positioning the S Pen on the side and not at the back is a smart improvement. You also get seven years of support, which is excellent. But on the other hand, it introduces lots of tiny but aggravating downgrades that add up. There's no more vibration feedback and we lose one front camera. The S Pen on deck has also lost Bluetooth capabilities. We also get the same design language, but after a couple of generations, this one is looking slightly stale. Overall, I don't feel you should upgrade if you're coming from a Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra or a Tab S9 Ultra.

EN→ESThe best news I can provide today is that, if you’re considering between the Tab S11 Ultra and the iPad Pro, you’re facing an embarrassment of riches. These are two wonderful tablets – arguably the best money can buy. However, I do question how many people are actually faced with this decision. Most people have picked their side via the smartphone they use. Which makes comparisons like this one nothing more than a spectator sport. But that’s ok. It’s fun to compare. And while I’ll always default to the iPad because of my ecosystem preferences, when the Tab S11 Ultra landed on my desk, it once again reminded me that looking beyond your walled garden ain’t a bad idea at all.

EN→ESThe Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra starts at €1,139. And if you opt for the original Samsung power adapter and Keyboard Cover, you are easily looking at €1,500 or more, which is quite a steep price. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a thoroughly versatile device thanks to its all-round feature set - it is ideal for multimedia, gaming, drawing, AI tasks, office apps, image and video processing, and whatever else you can come up with. It's powerful enough to chew through anything you throw at it, and a single charge will last you a whole day of work. Still, we don't see it becoming a mass product and will probably be limited to a small set of users who can appreciate the great battery life and great touch input, which laptops can't quite match.

EN→ESNow, should you buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra? I personally will say that if you like to watch movies on a big, beautiful OLED screen, then this is the perfect tablet for you. It has great speakers too! Gamers should also consider this tablet as the performance with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ is just fantastic as it basically never overheats – though we have to lower the graphical settings with Wuthering Waves.

EN→ESAnd so to the real question: should you get a Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra? If you're a consumer who hasn't got the S10 Ultra, then it is a worthy purchase. If you're looking for tablets for your staff, the answer is also yes, provided you get all the accessories that your staff need, and your team has reasons to use an AI-powered tablet. We can't say that there are a lot of useful capabilities on this tablet that one can't find on, say, the OnePlus Pad 3, or last year's S10 Ultra. Our view may have been different if we had the keyboard – we could have given a fairer assessment of its business capabilities. That being said, it is a wonderful slab of technology, packed with AI features, and the battery life is fantastic. In that regard, it is very much a tablet worthy of the name.

EN→ESThe Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra delivers ample power for demanding apps and battery life that outlasts both the prior generation and top rivals. The S Pen works well for notes and sketches, and Samsung’s software extras turn the tablet into a credible laptop replacement with DeX and split-screen multitasking. The camera remains basic compared with phones, and the tablet can feel big and heavy to carry around and use, but those are small trade-offs for the incredible display, performance, and productivity capabilities you get. If you're looking for a large Android tablet that doubles as a work and creative machine, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra earns our Editors' Choice award.

EN→ESThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a relatively minor – yet meaningful – update to Samsung’s top-end tablet, addressing a few long-standing complaints about the Ultra models. The S Pen placement is much better, as is the whole design of the stylus, while the smaller notch on the screen is less distracting. It’s also impressively slim at 5.1mm thick, giving Apple’s iPad Pro a run for its money, and the Dimensity 9400+, while not quite up to the task of besting the Snapdragon 8 Elite, delivers stellar everyday performance that most will be happy with. I also continue to enjoy the unbeaten screen experience on offer from Samsung’s Ultra-branded tablets; the 14.6-inch AMOLED screen isn’t just massive, but it’s detailed, vibrant and great for both watching movies and getting some work done.

EN→ESIf you were to simply consider the hardware, then the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has a lot going for it. It’s fast and snappy, it has great battery life, it’s beautifully made and its 14.6in display is wonderful. I like the way the stylus feels on the screen and the keyboard is reasonably comfortable to type on. It’s also better value than the M4 iPad Pro. As always seems to be the case with Android productivity tablets, there are significant caveats. The dual-monitor support is great, but limited in the type of monitors you can connect to. And while the desktop environment works well, Android’s app ecosystem continues to let it down. For work purposes, I could get along with this tablet, but it would take a period of significant adaptation. However, if you don’t mind a bit of a learning curve, Samsung’s latest big-screen laptop-alike is its best yet. And if you can get the whole package for £999 with the help of a sneaky trade-in, then it’s an absolute bargain.

Following this, the display offers a 120Hz refresh rate for silky smooth interactions, exceptional HDR10+ clarity, and a remarkable peak brightness of 1600 nits for perfect visibility in any lighting. It features a slim 5.1mm aluminum body that is both IP68 rated for dust and water resistance and constructed from enhanced Armor aluminum. Furthermore, it makes the device incredibly durable and lightweight for its size. As far as hardware configuration is concerned, the Tab S11 Ultra is a performance powerhouse. It is driven by the cutting-edge 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset. This octa-core processor can easily go up to 1×3.63GHz clocking speed.

EN→ESOn first impression, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra checks a lot of boxes – which it needs to considering its punchy price – and could be the first Tab S series upgrade that’s truly compelling since the original Tab S8 Ultra in 2022. The upgraded power courtesy of MediaTek, improved interface that finally takes advantage of the big screen and extended displays, and the brighter, more immersive display matched with its lighter weight and slimmer profile all take the fight to Apple’s latest iPads and win in a few key areas. If the Tab S11 Ultra is too big or too pricey for you, check out our best tablet of 2025 picks, and check back for the full review in the coming weeks.

Reviewing Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra after a week of testing, including this 15-inch tablet's gaming skills, battery life and beyond. The Samsung Tab S11 Ultra is one of the best (but also most expensive) Android tablets of 2025. So is it an iPad Pro beater? Well, whether you're a gamer, movie fan, mobile worker or just proper rich and fancy something lighter than a laptop, there's loads to love here. Mediatek's Dimensity 9400 Plus powers the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, ideal for gaming. Wuthering Waves plays with a silky smooth frame rate, with thankfully little heat build-up despite the slim design. Unlike the iPad Pro, you've got seriously impressive multi-tasking abilities including a dedicated desktop mode and DeX support.

EN→ESAt $1,199, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is not a cheap device. You have a lot of cheaper options in the tablet realm, but what you don't have is a lot of 14.6-inch competitors. The last-generation model offers a very similar experience, so if you already have the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, there's no reason to upgrade. On the other hand, if you're looking for a big-screen tablet to boost your productivity or you want to enjoy an immersive multimedia experience, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is a great candidate for both roles.

EN→ESThe Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra appears to be a minor – yet meaningful – update to Samsung’s top-end tablet, addressing a few long-standing complaints about the Ultra models while also making it thinner and more powerful. It’s not going to be the most portable tablet around, but for those who want something more akin to a laptop replacement – especially when paired with the keyboard – it could be a great option.

EN→ESAt the Galaxy Unpacked event today, Samsung showed off its latest Galaxy S25 FE smartphone and two new premium Galaxy Tab 11 tablets. Along with the usual hardware upgrades, these new devices are predictably geared for AI, with Samsung focusing on the Galaxy AI experiences available on them. For example, one can use the phone camera with the preloaded Gemini Live AI assistant or easily perform a generative AI edit of a photo. Indeed, the upgrades are minor on the latest Galaxy S25 FE, which remains more affordable than the flagship Galaxy S25 phones. It has a similar 6.7-inch 120Hz display as the previous Galaxy S24 FE, though the bezels are slimmer. But minor nitpick here: The bezels are not uniform, with the bottom one looking just a tad thicker.
