Se confirma oficialmente que la Xiaomi Band 7 Pro debutará el 4 de julio con un diseño similar al de un smartwatch y nuevas funciones
Xiaomi launched the Band 7 in China in May and brought it to the global market last week. Reports claimed the company had the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro in the works, and those rumors have now been substantiated, with the company announcing the imminent launch of the smart band hours ago.
As shared by Xiaomi on an official Weibo handle, the Band 7 Pro will make its debut on July 4 alongside the Xiaomi 12S series in China. "Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Pro is here," the company announced. "For the first time, in the form of a large square screen, it is possible to imagine fashion. For the first time, complete the Pro advanced level, bringing a more professional sports and health experience."
The Band 7 Pro will ditch the vanilla Band 7's style for a more watch-like design, similar to that of the Redmi Smart Band Pro. New features have been tipped in the past, including GPS and a larger battery. Materials are also expected to be an improvement on the Band 7's. Apparently, the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro could ditch the Band 7's strap for a buckle-style one as well.
It's unknown how much the fitness tracker will cost. The Xiaomi Band 7 NFC version launched with a CNY 279 (US$42) MSRP and the Band 7 Pro will, indubitably, be more expensive. According to a leak, the Pro model could cost CNY 399 (US$60). You'd do well to take that with a pinch of salt, however.
