Disappointing is the best way to describe the Asus U36Jc. The company has had much experience in the construction of ultraportables, and seemed to have the formula mastered. Yet this new model has a number of inexcusable flaws. Worst among them is the hardware. There’s been plenty of time for an update to the latest Intel processors, and most laptops over $600 now make use of the newer hardware.

For people who don't want to spend a lot of money on an ultraportable, the Asus U36JC offers decent power, an attractive screen, and good connectivity. But don't expect to find the attention to detail and clear documentation you'd get on more-expensive laptops. Also, given the terrible touchpad and button, you should buy this laptop only if you're willing to use it with a mouse.

NVIDIA GeForce 310M: La GeForce 310M es la sucesora de la GeForce G210M basada en el mismo chip con velocidades de reloj muy similares (velocidad de sombreado de 30MHz más para llegar a 1530MHz).

Estos procesadores gráficos pueden mostrar únicamente juegos antiguos, fluidamente.  Juegos actuales pueden ser presentados con detalles sustancialmente reducidos.

480M: El Core i5-480M sólo tiene cache de 3 MB L3 (comparado con el I7-620M) y funciona con una frecuencia entre 2,66-2,9 GHz (Modo Turbo). Gracias al Hyperthreading, 4 threads pueden ser procesados simultáneamente. Una tarjeta de video integrada (GMA HD) y un controlador de memoria DDR3 también están incluidos en el paquete.
