HP's Dragonfly Pro Is A Case Study On How A Keyboard Can Make Or Break A Laptop
Origen: USA Today Inglés EN→ES
You will probably adapt to the Dragonfly’s Pro keyboard faster than you think you will (I did!), but it’s a jarring experience the first time you use it. The myHP keys nearly put me off the entire laptop, even when I liked so much else about it. But if you have the patience to adapt to them, then the Dragonfly Pro would have to come with a major manufacturer defect for us not to recommend it. Hardware and performance-wise, the $1,500 Dragonfly Pro is a much better value than the new $1,499 15-inch Apple MacBook Air M2. It’s the same story when you compare the $1,400 Dragonfly Pro to the $1,399 13-inch Air M2. When you start looking at a MacBook Pro 13 M2 and higher, the cost-performance ratio evens out until it makes sense for some people to get a MacBook Pro instead. But if you’re not a patient person and you like your keyboard standard and predictable, then the Dragonfly Pro is most likely not for you.

80% HP Dragonfly Pro (2023) Review
Origen: Trusted Reviews Inglés EN→ES
The HP Dragonfly Pro (2023) is a compelling proposition that hits a myriad of high notes for a productivity laptop. The battery life is great, performance fits the remit and the display is vivid, with a well-performing touch element. HP has crafted a good all-rounder for the modern hybrid worker. This is a very good-looking laptop, albeit too heavy to match up to something like the MacBook Air M2 or Surface Pro 9, if your goal is true portability. Our top Windows pick in this category remains the lightweight Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED (2022) wonder.

HP Dragonfly Pro Review: An AMD Ryzen 7 Laptop That Delivers
Origen: Hot Hardware Inglés EN→ES
The only notable caveat we observed with this new HP laptop would be its single FHD display resolution option at 1920x1200. My personal Goldilocks favorite laptop size is 14-inch, but coupled with a 2K display for just a bit more pixel density and desktop real estate. That said, the Dragonfly Pro's FHD display has a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, for less scrolling, which equates to more efficient web page navigation and other apps that can take advantage of extra vertical screen area. Other minor asks would be for either a single USB-A port and/or an SD card slot for a bit more IO connectivity options, and while we're at it, throw in a 5G radio option to boot as well. Alas, typically we can't have all that cake and eat it too, at least if you're trying to hit the $1,400 price band where the HP Dragonfly Pro resides.

New for 2023, the HP Dragonfly Pro is a 14” Ultrabook geared toward freelancers. It runs Windows 11 on the AMD Ryzen 7 7736U CPU with integrated Radeon graphics. Thanks to our sponsor Trend Micro's Premium Security Suite offers complete device and identity protection for up to 10 devices. Check it out here: http://bit.ly/3Zbxf4S and use code LISA10 (case sensitive) for 10% off your purchase! The Dragonfly Pro is a very attractive and premium looking laptop though the price is much more budget friendly than HP Elite Dragonfly models. It has a pleasing touchscreen, Windows Hello camera and fingerprint scanner, WiFi 6E, a 5MP webcam and HP’s new support features.

HP’s Dragonfly Pro: Windows and Chromebook Separated at Birth
Origen: Techspot Inglés EN→ES
HP has created two interesting notebooks in its Dragonfly Pro line. One focuses on providing a premium Windows experience which is somewhat common, and one provides a premium Chrome experience which is far rarer. Both products embrace a higher level of support similar to what Apple users historically expect (but often don’t seem to get), and both products are built with security and sustainability in mind. As people gain a better understanding of what generative AI does, I’m expecting interest in non-Windows products to wane until Google and Apple can catch up. Google is certainly working to do this, while Apple still looks like it missed a meeting, and I am on the wrong side of an iPhone-like event as a result. In the end, the HP Dragonfly Pro Windows and Chrome laptops represent the current best-in-class for non-gaming premium notebooks and would be a nice way to start Spring.

HP Dragonfly Pro review: You better watch your back, Apple
Origen: PC World Inglés EN→ES
It’s been a while since I saw a computer I tested that I’d actually want to own, but I’d say that the HP Dragonfly Pro checks off most of the boxes for this freelancer. It feels nice to use, is zippy and responsive, has great speakers, and even has a relatively sane price. Although it’s an unorthodox choice to pick AMD for this kind of machine, it’s clear that when Ryzen is given a chance to shine, it can kick a lot of butt. As to whether or not I’d take this over a MacBook Pro 14 with the new M2 Pro chip, well, that’s a tricky question. Apple’s latest have incredible screens, lots of ports, magnetic charging, and heaps of efficient power to boot. But those models also start at the eyewatering price of $2,000—$600 more than this HP with fairly close specs, too. If you don’t have a strong preference for macOS, you’ll get a lot of value with the HP Dragonfly Pro. It’s efficient, long-lasting and, unlike the Mac, can actually flex its muscles and play games during your downtime.

70% HP Dragonfly Pro Review
Origen: PC Mag Inglés EN→ES
While we still have some unanswered questions around battery life, we know what we do and don't like about the HP Dragonfly Pro. Despite being positioned as a rival to popular ultraportables, the Dragonfly Pro is a little thicker and heavier. Its display is decent—even excellent for everyday apps—but its resolution is topped by several competitors. Worse, the minimal port selection leaves a lot to be desired, especially the unaccountable lack of an audio jack. That said, the Dragonfly Pro is otherwise a fine performer, and the inclusion of unique features like macro keys and dedicated 24/7 support distinguish it as a sound choice for freelancers and prosumers. Ultimately, it's an attractive laptop with helpful features at a fair price, but its generally high quality makes the rough spots stand out.

60% HP Dragonfly Pro review: a pricey productivity laptop that could have been greater
Origen: Techradar Inglés EN→ES
HP has been pushing to reach the freelancer and gig-worker market with its new line of productivity laptops, including the HP Dragonfly Pro. This laptop boasts plenty of features that make it appealing to those who rely on their laptop for their career including superior battery life, a thin and light form factor, a powerful CPU for fast performance, and a handy single-press key that connects you with a customer service agent when something goes wrong. And when these features do work, they work incredibly well. For instance, the battery life will carry you past a full workday easily and takes about an hour to fully charge. Its lightweight and thin body makes it easy to carry around in most laptop bag sizes, and productivity work is a breeze. The camera is also solid, with plenty of webcam features like an auto frame that keeps your face centered, automatic color adjustment, noise removal, and the auto color that lets you choose a color space preset. All for the betterment of your video conference calls. The HP Dragonfly Pro also has an excellent backlit keyboard with nice wide keys for easy typing and a touchpad that’s very responsive. The touchscreen is sensitive and intuitive to your touch, making for a great alternative way to use your machine – though I imagine most freelancers don’t have that much of a use for it since the idea is to have a more practical laptop. So, even if the port selection is pretty bad, with a whopping three USB Type-C ports and nothing else – hardly suitable for a freelancer who needs this as their main machine, there’s still a lot here to benefit its target market.

60% HP Dragonfly Pro review
Origen: Tom's Guide Inglés EN→ES
The HP Dragonfly Pro is a noble effort. A simple-to-use laptop that offers solid performance and 24-hour support sounds great for freelancers who depend on their devices to make a living. This is especially true now that so many people work remotely. While I commend what HP is trying to do, I think the company missed the mark in a couple of areas. On the plus side, the Dragonfly Pro offers a sleek design, vibrant display and comfy keyboard. The fact that it held out for over 13 hours in our battery test means this laptop should easily last you through a workday, and it outlasted the Dell XPS 13 Plus by several hours. However, the XPS 13 Plus is significantly lighter. So what don’t I like? The myHP app is slow and clunky, and I wish HP had included more ports. And for a system HP wants to compare to the MacBook Pro, this AMD chip isn’t nearly as fast as Apple’s M2 Pro chip. Plus, Apple's Pro laptops offer even better battery life. Also, the battery drain issue we experienced during testing is a problem I hope HP fixes soon. Even if you can't afford the latest MacBook Pros, I think the freelancers HP is marketing this laptop to would be better off with a MacBook Air M1. It still offers great performance that's nearly as good as what you get from the Dragonfly Pro, yet the Air only costs $999. If you want a Windows laptop, the $880 Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is a great alternative that also happens to be powerful enough to play the best PC games. The HP Dragonfly Pro is a good laptop, but it’s not quite good enough to stand among the best.

Origen: Digital Trends Inglés EN→ES
The Dragonfly Pro is really fast, gets excellent battery life, and is built incredibly well. You get 24/7 live support to keep you running, and you’ll enjoy the keyboard, haptic touchpad, and an overall cohesive design. There are only a couple of things holding the Dragonfly Pro back from a higher score. First, there’s the display. It’s not a bad panel, it’s just not high enough resolution to compete with other premium laptops in this price range. It’s a mystery why HP decided not to offer a better display. It’s also a bit bulky for a laptop without discrete graphics, not to mention the limited port selection will turn some off. Still, the HP Dragonfly Pro is a strong debut for this new design, and a solid choice for a 14-inch laptop.

HP Dragonfly Pro Review: A MacBook Pro slayer it's not
Origen: Laptop Mag Inglés EN→ES
Sometimes simple can be hard, especially when you’re trying to go toe-to-toe with the likes of the MacBook Pro 14, one of our best laptop picks. At $1,399, the Dragonfly Pro is $600 dollars cheaper than the MacBook Pro which is music to my budget-savvy ears. The display is vivid and colorful, the quad speaker setup is a revelation and it’s just a good-looking system. And let’s not forget that Subscription Care Pack that basically gives your laptop the same protection that you’ve come to expect for a smartphone at about the same price. The Dragonfly Pro is a notebook that any mobile professional, freelancer or not would be proud to pull out their bag. But three ports does not a mobile workstation make and a freelancer is definitely going to want more ports, especially when the MacBook Pro has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, a headset jack, a full SD card reader and the MagSafe charger. And the dedicated buttons, while a thoughtful idea, is a little half-baked with how long some of the features take to load. Ultimately, when you aim for the king, you best not miss. And in the case of the Dragonfly Pro constantly misses. During our testing, the MacBook Pro came out on top more often than not, even with the former’s AMD Ryzen 7 processor and graphics. It came pretty damned close at times, but as it stands, the Dragonfly Pro is a XPS slayer, a ZenBook slayer, but a MacBook slayer, unfortunately no. It’s a solid laptop for on-the-go mobile professionals, but if you want all the bells and whistles, go for the MacBook Pro 14.

Origen: The Verge Inglés EN→ES
Ultimately, I think this Dragonfly is great hardware. The lack of a headphone jack is a disappointment, but the combination of performance and battery life that it offers is better than I’ve seen from a Windows PC in quite some time. It’s a shame that HP is, both through its marketing and the literal design of its keyboard, trying to leverage such a great device to peddle people subscription services that aren’t great and that they just don’t need. Maybe you need a subscription service like this if you’re buying a $500 Pavilion that’s going to be breaking left and right. If you’re paying $1,300 for a premium PC, then you really, really should not.

HP Dragonfly Pro and Dragonfly Pro Chromebook hands-on at CES 2023
Origen: Engadget Inglés
Of all the new products HP is showing off at CES this year, arguably the most noteworthy is a pair of new Dragonfly laptops. Adapted from the enterprise-centric Elite Dragonfly series, the new Dragonfly Pro and Dragonfly Pro Chromebook are designed for consumers who are overwhelmed by specs. HP believes that for some people, having to choose from 30 different laptop configurations of RAM, storage and other options is a deterrent. For that reason, the Dragonfly Pro and Pro Chromebook come in preset configurations and you really only need to decide whether you want the Pro or the Chromebook (though for the Pro you can choose one of two preconfigured models).

HP Dragonfly Pro hands-on review: A laptop for the modern age
Origen: Tom's Guide Inglés EN→ES
I found the HP Dragonfly Pro a noble effort on HP's part. The company clearly understands the current world we live in and is developing devices that suit its users' needs. These new laptops might not have the most mind-blowing specs, but if they can make it easy to get work done from nearly anywhere, then that'll be a win for everyone.

88% HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook Review: Worth Every Penny
Origen: CNet Inglés EN→ES
Many Chromebooks are small and plastic and low cost. The HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook isn't like most Chromebooks. This 14-inch machine is among a rare breed of higher-end Chromebooks that also includes the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 and the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2. It's most similar to the HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook we reviewed a year ago, losing some of the enterprise features for a slightly lower price. And I mean slightly: The Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is $1,000. It's too spendy for most consumers looking to pick up a Chromebook as a cheap alternative to a Windows laptop or MacBook. It makes more sense for its target audience of always-connected freelancers and contract workers who'll use it day in and day out.

90% HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook (2023) Review
Origen: Trusted Reviews Inglés EN→ES
The HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook (2023) is an excellent entry into the high-end ChromeOS stakes and, in terms of the display, keyboard and port options, it’s better than the Windows 11 version of the device which costs $400 more. I loved the design and build quality, the keyboard is a joy to type on, the display is extremely bright and performs well and all the power you’ll need for most ChromeOS-based tasks is right here. $1,000 on a Chromebook is always eye-raising, considering the traditional remit of these machines, but the Dragonfly Pro Chromebook goes a long way towards justifying the price tag and the extra expenditure over some of the other models around. Only the battery life lets it down. If you’re after something more affordable, consider the £399/$399 Acer Chromebook Spin 513 or, if you want some luxury and long battery life, look for a deal on the still excellent, but now a few years old, Google Pixelbook Go.

The HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook looks and feels like a $1000 PC. It has an incredible display, zippy performance, wonderful sound, an impressive webcam, and decent battery life. The Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is sure to impress anyone who is looking for a premium Chromebook. If you’re looking for a Chromebook with no compromises, then the Dragonfly Chromebook Pro from HP won’t disappoint. However, at $1000, the Dragonfly Chromebook Pro is priced at the higher end of the spectrum for Chromebooks. You’ll want to make sure a Chromebook fully serves all of your needs before spending the equivalent of gaming laptop on one.

94% HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook review: premium-level hardware meets ChromeOS again
Origen: Techaeris Inglés EN→ES
It has been a long time since I have used and reviewed a Chromebook. When I went into this review, I thought I’d find more of the same disappointments I’ve always known Chromebooks to have. And some of that still rings true, but not all of it. The HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is insanely beautiful and well-built! The display is fantastic, colorful, bright, and something you’d expect from a MacBook or XPS. The Bang & Olufsen speakers are outstanding, even better than some high-end PCs. There are new apps that can deal with some of the work I need in a workstation, such as LumaFusion for video editing and Krita for photo editing. HP made the Dragpnfly Pro Chromebook with some added goodies that make this a great value, like the customizable backlit RGB keyboard, haptics, a great camera, and 24/7 live support. I was astonished at what this Chromebook had to offer. It still falls short of a full Windows PC or MacBook, but if you’re invested in the ChromeOS ecosystem, this is the best Chromebook you can buy right now and worth every penny if this is the only device you need.

To be sure, $999 is costly for a Chromebook, but the HP Dragonfly Pro is a better buy than the enterprise-oriented Dragonfly Elite (more than $1,700 as tested). Its support, performance, webcam, sound, and keyboard are all first-class—no, the RGB backlighting isn't really a productivity boon, but it's a fun gimmick—and its screen is stunning. HP failing to provide even one or two specified ports, like a USB-A, an HDMI, and an audio jack that Acer's Chromebook Spin 714 gives you for $270 less, makes it all the more frustrating. Also, beware that such a bright screen might limit this Chromebook's battery life for such a price. If you don't mind buying and carrying dongles, the Dragonfly Pro is one of the fastest and finest Chrome laptops we've seen, but we can't quite put it above the Acer as our latest Editors' Choice award holder.

80% HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook review: an incredible device too ahead of its time
Origen: Techradar Inglés EN→ES
Right off the bat, I love the HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook. Everything from its attractive style (at least in its Ceramic White colorway) to the pleasure of actually using it for work, this is a laptop I would consider buying myself once this review is done. But if there's one thing I can hold against this device, it's that it might be a bit too ahead of its time. There will come a day, hopefully soon, when Chrome OS can truly compete with the best laptops running Windows or macOS, namely the MacBook Air (M2) and the Dell XPS 13 (2022). Both of those devices are roughly around the same price as the Dragonfly Pro Chromebook, though you do get some better specs for the money with the Dragonfly Pro Chromebook than you do with either Dell's best laptop or Apple's featherweight juggernaut.

The Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is incredibly fast, built as well as the best laptops around, and has several features that bring it in line with its Windows competitors. Not many ChromeOS machines have haptic touchpads and Thunderbolt 4, not to mention live 24/7 technical support that’s so easily accessible. It’s expensive at $999, but it’s one of the best Chromebooks around and raises the platform to compete with Windows 11 and MacOS more directly. It’s still ChromeOS, so if that doesn’t work for you, then this isn’t your machine. But if you’re looking for a quality Chromebook that doesn’t compromise, the Dragonfly Pro Chromebook qualifies.

80% HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook review: The Pixelbook successor
Origen: Laptop Mag Inglés EN→ES
Thanks to Google’s heavy involvement during the development of the Dragonfly Pro Chromebook, you get the feeling this is a glimpse at what the next Pixelbook could’ve been. Thanks to its potent Intel Core i5 CPU and a generous 16GB of RAM, this beast can handle just about any task you set before it — except tasks that require a potent GPU. However, suppose you’re like many people working in the new norm of at least partially remote. In that case, it's a great option to slip into your bag and lug back and forth thanks to being lightweight and capable of handling your daily document-pushing in Google Workspace with ease. At $999, this is still a bit of a reach when you can snag a more potent M1 MacBook Air for the same price (or even cheaper in the sales). But if your heart is set on a powerful Chrome OS experience, this is a great option.

Origen: Zdnet.com Inglés EN→ES
All that said, the HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook is one of the easier laptops to recommend, especially if you've already bought into the ChromeOS platform. With 16GB of RAM and a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, there's little to worry about when it comes to performance and day-to-day operations. Not to mention, consistent updates over the past years have given ChromeOS a more leveled playing field between it and competing operating systems. Thanks to that maturity, HP had every opportunity to capitalize on the Dragonfly Pro's hardware -- and it most certainly did.

Origen: The Verge Inglés EN→ES
Iwanted so much to love this device, and I do think it’s something special. It offers an eclectic combination of features that you won’t find in any other Chromebook on the market. The Elite Dragonfly Chromebook was good; this is equally funky but more affordable. Unfortunately, HP didn’t put a big enough tank in this chassis to juice the Core i5 in combination with a bright, high-resolution screen. I love using Chromebooks like this. But their battery life, compared to what you can get from much cheaper devices, is often a disappointment. I hope that HP, Samsung, Lenovo, and other manufacturers who are vying to fill the premium slot the Pixelbook left behind can make improvements here. Because these are thin, light, and gorgeous machines. They aren’t meant to live on a desk.

100% HP Dragonfly G4 review: The ideal business laptop for traveling
Origen: PC World Inglés EN→ES
A top keyboard rounds off the Dragonfly G4’s office suitability. The keys are relatively large for this form factor. What’s especially pleasing is the very pronounced pressure point that all keys have across the entire keyboard surface including the space bar. As is usual with ultrabooks, the arrow keys are not positioned separately and the up and down keys are combined in the size of one key. The touchpad also impresses with clear pressure feedback. It even remains very quiet when the mouse is clicked. The Dragonfly’s surface strikes the perfect balance between grip and speed. You can position the mouse pointer precisely or let it whiz quickly across the display as required.

84% HP Dragonfly G4 Review: Elegant, Long-Running Ultraportable for Traveling Execs
Origen: CNet Inglés EN→ES
Most ultraportables feature a small, three-cell battery, but the Dragonfly G4 serves up a six-cell, 68-watt-hour battery. Combined with the efficient 15-watt, U-series Core i7 processor, the Dragonfly G4 delivers excellent battery life. It lasted 14.5 hours on our online streaming video battery drain test. That's more than enough to get you through the longest of workdays without needing to charge. It's also a long enough runtime that there's room to sacrifice a bit for the higher-resolution OLED display that will almost assuredly have a negative impact on battery life. On the rest of our tests, the Dragonfly G4 performed as expected. With a Core i7 U-series chip and integrated Intel graphics, it's built for productivity work rather than creative work, but it has more than enough muscle for office tasks and a smooth Windows experience overall. I never ran into any lags or slowdowns, even when multitasking, and it stayed cool and quiet during operation.

90% HP Dragonfly G4 review: the perfect travel laptop for professionals
Origen: Techradar Inglés EN→ES
A perfect laptop may not exist, but the mighty HP Dragonfly G4 sure comes pretty damn close. One of the best thin and light laptops of 2023, this HP notebook is a bit of a rarity, being a business laptop that doesn’t feel bulky or business-y for that matter. In fact, it takes on an Ultrabook approach, with its thin and light form factor, sleek and stylish design, and battery life that will outlast your own. And it does that so well I would consider this among the best Ultrabooks I’ve tested. That makes it the best laptop to take with you on business trips or if you’re traveling for a long period and need something with a lot of power. The Dragonfly G4 also has very few faults. There are only two flaws I could think of – the subpar speakers and the missing SD card slot, and neither of those are deal-breakers.

80% HP Dragonfly G4 review: A good-looking powerhouse
Origen: Gadgets Now Inglés EN→ES
HP Dragonfly G4 comes with a starting price tag of Rs 2,20,000 which is definitely a hefty price tag. But considering its design, performance and high-end HP apps and features the laptop manages to somehow justify its price tag. If you want to stay in the Windows ecosystem and don’t want to switch to a Macbook, then this HP laptop can be your pick.

Origen: The Indian Express Inglés EN→ES
Starting at Rs 2,20,000, HP Elite Dragonfly G4 is clearly a device for top management who will find all their computing and after-work needs to be taken care of on the fly. This is the sort of device that will compete with the MacBook Airs and give users the choice which they did not have earlier.

As we said, we prefer the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon's keyboard to HP's trademark hard-to-hit cursor arrows, and the Lenovo's 16:10 aspect ratio screen looks better when streaming videos. But the Dragonfly's 3:2 ratio is easy to get accustomed to, and the laptop delivered much longer battery life in our tests despite being a fraction lighter. Either laptop will spoil you for a slimline that skimps on HDMI and USB-A ports. While hoping its price goes down again, we grant the HP Dragonfly G4 a rare Editors' Choice award shared with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon as a top-tier business ultraportable.

80% HP Dragonfly G4 review: the keyboard is *chef's kiss*
Origen: Laptop Mag Inglés EN→ES
The Dragonfly G4 is ideal for both worker bees and students, particularly those who frequently commute and hate the thought of being shackled to an outlet for hours on end. However, the HP laptop struggled to outpace its rivals when it comes to performance. In other words, there are cheaper laptops (e.g., the Acer Swift Go 14) that offer better performance, but you may have to compromise battery runtime.Overall, the G4 is still an excellent 13.5-inch laptop for on-the-go professionals and pupils who don’t necessarily need a powerhouse, but will thrive with a clicky, tactile keyboard, a sweet 5MP shooter for videoconferencing, and a great display and speakers for late-night entertainment.

First Impressions: HP Dragonfly G4
Origen: Trusted Reviews Inglés EN→ES
The Dragonfly G4 looks to be a premium productivity device. Without knowing the pricing we can’t say if the included specs will support its cost, but assuming that it falls in the same bracket as its predecessor – the £1606.80 Elite Dragonfly G3 – it could land on the expensive side in terms of work laptops. The keyboard felt very satisfying to type on and the vast port selection will broaden its horizons as a productivity device, with HDMI and Thunderbolt 4 support allowing users to connect it to an external monitor. But overall, the Dragonfly G4 could be the perfect choice for office workers thanks to the Raptor Lake processor and the high amount of RAM and storage. Opting for the OLED display will also ensure that video content looks crisp and striking, giving it more versatility.
