Even still, I’m ultimately impressed with the Magic Pad 2. Honor’s latest take on the Android tablet pairs powerful hardware with a tidy software package and looks really quite sublime while doing it. The AI features are handy but not overbearing, and I’m thankful Honor hasn’t found a reason to push a full generative AI chatbot into its products – not yet, at least. The only real downside is the lack of software support, which might make some think twice. If you want more longevity, the OnePlus Pad 2 goes for the same £500 and is set for three years of OS updates and four years of security patches. Otherwise, there’s very little to dislike about the Magic Pad 2; between the price and the performance, it’s a cracking bit of hardware.

Having used both an iPad Air and Honor's MagicPad 2 at home, and messed around with various Samsung Galaxy Tabs at trade shows, I genuinely prefer Honor's effort and could probably argue ways in which it can give an iPad Pro a run for its money. In summary, the display is beautiful, the speakers are superb, the office tools are class-leading, battery life is abundant, and the accessories enhance the experience — even if they do have their faults.

Now, with its enormous silicon carbon battery, one of the best bits of this slender Android tablet is that excellent longevity. You can muck about with three or four apps and stream video simultaneously and still enjoy over ten hours of action. Plus, the Honor MagicPad 3's fast charge support makes it a champion in the battery life realm. That LCD screen may not be OLED tech but it's still pleasingly crisp with respectable HDR output, and it's bright enough to use outdoors if you can avoid direct sunlight. Sadly the audio output isn't as thrilling. Despite boasting eight speakers, the Honor MagicPad 3 could use a bass and volume boost.

Y puede que te parezca muy repetitiva esta insistencia mía en compararla con un ordenador, pero dado su hardware y precio, creo que su foco no puede ser otro que el de un público profesional. Sobre todo si se le suma un teclado y stylus que no vienen incluidos de serie (aunque sí con ofertas en su lanzamiento). Así que si buscas una tablet versátil y completa, la Honor MagicPad4 ofrece una gran experiencia para trabajar con apps ofimáticas, toma de notas o trabajar con varias apps a la vez con su modo PC, teclado y stylus. Eso sí, no reemplaza un ordenador con aplicaciones profesionales muy concretas. Y sí, también te para ver series, películas o jugar, aunque si va a ser este tu uso principal, quizás te interesen más otras opciones más económicas.

En cuanto a software, MagicOS 10 demuestra que el trabajo de Honor para mejorar el software de sus dispositivos empieza a dar sus frutos, con un aspecto más moderno que a ratos tiene toques transparente a lo Liquid Glass. Está basado en Android 16, el sistema más reciente de Google. Lo único que le pediría a la marca es un sistema de multitarea y pantalla dividida algo más intuitivo, ya que aunque puedes usar hasta 3 ventanas flotantes, dividir la pantalla en 2 o miniventanas, configurarlo y navegar no me ha resultado fácil al principio. La batería es el único punto en el que no creo que haya un avance importante con respecto a las generaciones pasadas y donde creo que sí hay modelos mejores tanto en su gama como en relación calidad precio. La Honor Magic Pad 4 tiene una capacidad de 10.100 mAh, pero su autonomía se reduce rápidamente con las tareas exigentes.

If you’re looking for an Android tablet that doesn’t feel like a compromise, the Honor MagicPad 4 is it. It’s fixed the screen issues of the previous generation, doubled down on performance, and managed to stay thinner than my wallet after a weekend at the races. It’s honest, it’s fast, and it’s genuinely fun to use. Honor is “sticking it” to the big boys here, and honestly? They’ve jolly well succeeded.

Generally speaking, I like the Honor MagicPad 4. It’s a superbly put together all-round productivity tablet. It’s fast, the screen is beautiful and battery life is excellent. You even get a selection of reasonably useful software tools included – I particularly liked the ability to share files quickly with an iPhones, MacBooks and iPads. Is it a superior tablet than the iPad Pro? No, but it is a lot cheaper and the hardware is competitive. Is it better value than cheaper Android-based tablets such as the just-launched Xiaomi Pad 8? Not really, but it is a faster perfomer, it’s lighter and thinner, and it has a larger, more luxurious OLED display. In the end, however, it really depends what you want.

Without that OLED screen, the MagicPad 4 would be a capable if modest generational upgrade, with the power you’d expect for the cash and a decent selection of productivity-minded accessories. Instead, Honor has equipped its tablet with a gorgeous panel that instantly makes it a great choice for telly addicts. The fact it’s so astonishingly thin is a bonus. I’d still like to see Honor do its own thing on the software front, rather than borrow so liberally from Apple’s Liquid Glass, and with no backlight or floating hinge the optional keyboard lacks a bit of the Xiaomi Pad 8’s wow factor. Android still wouldn’t be my first pick for a tablet meant to get serious work done, either. For sheer entertainment value, though, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck here.

The HONOR MagicPad4 nails the parts of tablet life that actually matter day to day. It is exceptionally portable, the 12.3-inch 165Hz OLED is excellent for reading and media, and the eight-speaker setup helps it feel more immersive than most thin tablets. With the keyboard attached, PC Mode and floating windows make it feel closer to a small laptop than a typical Android tablet. The compromises are more about the physical keyboard experience and long-term ownership than the software itself. The keyboard is convenient and flexible, but the shallow key travel and slightly wobbly lap use remind you that it is still a tablet-first setup. Honor also does not say much about sustainability, and the promised two major OS updates and four years of security patches are not class-leading, so it is worth weighing if you plan to keep the tablet for many years.

Estas tarjetas también deben ser capaces de aguantar todos los juegos actuales, pero  la mayoría de ellos en configuraciones de detalles medios y bajos y con bajas resoluciones. Juegos más antiguos, o menos exigentes todavía pueden ser jugados con buena calidad de gráficos.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8:

SD 8s Gen 3: SoC (System on a Chip) de gama alta para smartphones que se presentó en 2024. Entre otras cosas, integra un rápido Cortex-X4 "Prime Core" de hasta 3 GHz y 4 rápidos núcleos Cortex-A720 adicionales de 2,8 GHz. Para ahorrar energía, también se han instalado 3 núcleos ARM Cortex-A520 adicionales con 2,3 GHz. Se han integrado un módem 5G, WiFi 7 y un motor de IA significativamente más rápido.

SD 8 Gen 3: SoC de gama alta para smartphones que se presentó a finales de 2022 con un núcleo principal rápido basado en una arquitectura ARM Cortex-X3 con una velocidad de reloj de hasta 3,2 GHz.
