Aunque Microsoft lo califica como ordenador portátil, y su forma es parecida a la de este tipo de dispositivos, lo cierto es que el Surface Book 2 es un modelo único en su especie pues, si bien cuenta con ciertas similitudes con respecto a modelos convertibles 2-en-1 como, por ejemplo, la Surface Pro, pues permite separar la pantalla y utilizarla como tablet, no resulta especialmente versátil en este sentido debido principalmente a la ausencia de puertos, que limitan notablemente su funcionalidad separada de la base/teclado.

Hay algo más que me parece importante remarcar una vez que hemos puesto sobre la mesa las virtudes y las carencias de este equipo. Y es que la experiencia que nos ofrece cuando lo utilizamos como un portátil convencional está más lograda que cuando lo usamos en modo tableta. Aunque es bastante ligera, las 15 pulgadas de la pantalla me parecen excesivas en un escenario de uso convencional. Posiblemente los diseñadores y los artistas gráficos sí puedan sacar partido a una tableta tan grande, pero, honestamente, creo que la mayor parte de los usuarios se sentirían un poco más cómodos con una tableta algo más pequeña. En cualquier caso, este Surface Book 2 es un buen producto. Caro, pero apetecible si puedes permitírtelo.
