Sin embargo, la elección de la memoria, tanto por cantidad como por tecnología, no ha sido del todo acertada condicionando la experiencia de uso y haciendo que se las aplicaciones tarden más en ejecutarse. El procesador ofrece un buen comportamiento y, aunque no se trate de la última generación Dimensity de MediaTEK, entrega la potencia suficiente. No nos cabe duda de que la experiencia de uso de este terminal mejoraría muchísimo montando una memoria más actual. Con un precio de salida de 179 euros el Redmi 10 parte de una buena posición con respecto a sus principales rivales que, por otro lado, prácticamente sale de las mismas líneas de producción con modelos como el Poco M3 Pro 5G a la venta por 179 euros, con unas prestaciones similares y ofreciendo el añadido de la conectividad 5G. A pesar de sus luces y sombras, el Redmi 10 que hemos analizado obtiene un aprobado raspado, pero es más que suficiente para un usuario que busque un móvil básico para mensajería, con un precio asequible y con buena autonomía.

El Xiaomi Redmi 10 es un terminal que no nos ha terminado de enamorar. Es cierto que su precio es bajo y que por 200 euros no podemos pedir el rendimiento de un gama alta, pero eso no es excusa para que tenga los problemas de rendimiento que tiene. Se nota que al móvil le falta potencia en todos los aspectos y eso, en el día a día, es algo que se nota. Como puntos positivos, podemos destacar su autonomía (no su velocidad carga, desde luego), el rendimiento de la cámara cuando es de día y el diseño, que puede no ser premium pero tampoco se siente mal. Del usuario final dependerá poner sus pros y sus contras en una balanza y decidir. Si queremos un móvil básico para WhatsApp y poco más o incluso un segundo móvil de batalla puede valer, pero para el día a día, para jugar o hacer cosas más pesadas es, sin lugar a dudas, un terminal que se queda corto.

El nuevo Xiaomi Redmi 10 supone la décima iteración de un terminal que será un éxito de ventas incluso antes de llegar al mercado, pues marca el camino para los que buscan un smartphone moderno sin excesos, sobre todo ajustando su precio al máximo. Su procesador MediaTek Helio G88, junto a sus 4 GB de RAM, es más que suficiente para un 80% de los usuarios que no buscan altas prestaciones para juegos o la máxima velocidad, mientras que su pantalla de 6,5 pulgadas ofrece una buena resolución y unos colores bastante dignos, aunque no al nivel de las pantallas AMOLED de por ejemplo la familia Redmi Note 10. Podemos adquirir el Xiaomi Redmi 10 en tiendas como Goboo por 154 euros con 64 GB de almacenamiento o 179 euros con 128 GB, usando el cupón disponible Goobo25, dos opciones que cuentan o envío desde España y 2 años de garantía. Estos modelos a la venta sí traen el NFC.

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 is a budget 4G Android phone whose highlights are not initially what they might appear to be. Xiaomi has deliberately built up the Redmi 10’s camera housing to make it seem advanced, but the camera array you get here is actually mediocre at best. While its primary camera has 50 megapixels to its name, the results are inconsistent and rarely all that pretty. The real strong points are the stereo speakers, even if sound quality isn’t remarkable, solid battery life, and a decently sharp screen. As such, the Redmi 10 isn't as easy to recommend as some real Xiaomi hits of the last year or so, like the fantastic Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro or Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC. Its design and screen could belong to a more expensive phone, but the Xiaomi Redmi 10 is let down by a poor camera and unremarkable performance.

If there’s ever been a phone that quantifies the term “mixed bag”, it’s the Xiaomi Redmi 10. On one hand, we have a well-built design coupled with solid primary and secondary cameras, and extras like expandable storage and the embedded fingerprint scanner in the power button. Plus the Sea Blue colorway just looks great, again, as long as you wipe your phone clean every time you touch it. Then, there’s the incredible battery life offered courtesy of the 5,000mAh cell that doesn’t take much of a hit even with 90Hz enabled. But on the other hand, the LCD display is just disappointing, the 18W “fast” charging feels like a joke with a battery of this size, and the UI lags every chance it gets. Throw in ads pretty much everywhere you turn and it’s easy to understand why this may not end up being as popular as it could be.

Compared to the previous generation Redmi 9, the new version of the Xiaomi Redmi 10 device has received a number of significant changes and, naturally, for the better. On the positive side, I can single out the presence of an updated design and high-quality assembly. I also liked the combination of using matte plastic, which didn’t leave much fingerprints on the back of the smartphone. In addition, the Redmi 10 device has good performance thanks to the new Helio G88 processor. I also liked the quality of the screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The main 50-megapixel sensor showed itself also from a worthy side, as well as the battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. But although there are drawbacks, given their cost, I cannot call them relatively strong. For example, the smartphone did not get the fast speed of the built-in memory. Also I would like to get higher video resolution and others.

Redmi phones have always been an easy recommendation, especially the ones from the vanilla Redmi series. And it's hard not to like a phone like the Redmi 10, which ranges between €160 and €200 and offers a relatively bright 90Hz IPS display, a long battery life, a set of dual speakers, good camera performance, and doesn't miss on any essential features (at least for some users) such as IR blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, dedicated microSD card slot and reverse charging. The Redmi 10 is a pretty capable budget phone. It's just that it's not the clear-cut go-to phone to get for affordability like the Redmi 9 was. This time around, there might be some better options out there, depending on your needs.
