Análisis para el Asus TUF Gaming A14 FA401EA
Origen: Profesional Review

EN→ESThe TUF Gaming A14 (2026) is a pretty darn fantastic laptop. Asus kept everything we loved about previous models of the A14, from its light weight chassis and crisp display panel to its long-lasting battery life. It’s even got solidly powerful gaming performance, even if it doesn’t quite reach the full extent of the Radeon 8060S’ capabilities. As an experiment in using a powerful APU over a more traditional discrete GPU configuration, it’s definitely a success. Unfortunately, it’s significantly more expensive than previous models which makes it hard to recommend. Instead, you’re better off hunting down the RTX 4060 or RTX 5060 model.

EN→ESWould I recommend ASUS’ 2026 version of the TUF Gaming A14 as a daily driver and workhorse? Absolutely, provided you can do away with some of the more premium creature comforts, such as OLED, customisable RGB LEDs, and you’re alright with a boring and unassuming look. That being said, RM7,599 feels a little steep for an all-APU laptop. That being said, it’s still more practical than the tablet laptop form factor of last year’s Flow Z13, but hey, at least the battery life’s a helluva lot better. Honestly, it’s a punch up between this and ASUS’ refreshed Zenbook S16, but keep in mind that this APU is designed for gaming, while the Ryzen AI HX SKUs can game, albeit not as well as the Max architecture.

EN→ESAsus has taken a different approach with the latest TUF Gaming A14 laptop, ditching discrete Nvidia GeForce GPUs seen in previous models in favour of an AMD APU. The result is a less power-hungry laptop that's perhaps also a little less powerful in terms of raw graphical capability. But with its unified memory, A14 is able to deliver comparable gaming performance, while also being a capable laptop for creators. In that sense, Asus has tried to position the latest TUF Gaming A14 beyond just gamers. This is a powerful and portable laptop for creative professionals, too. The company has made a few compromises to keep the price down, but none of those seems like dealbreakers. The A14 acquits itself admirably when playing graphics-intensive games; it can almost last a full day of regular use, and it combines robust build quality with sleek design. And crucially, starting at Rs. 1,79,990, it's aiming at a price bracket much lower than its more premium cousin, the Zephyrus G14. Granted, you can pick up laptops with dedicated GPUs that can push more raw power around the same price point, but they won't deliver the same thin-and-light design and the excellent battery life. Is getting a few more frames in your games worth that compromise?

EN→ESThe Asus TUF Gaming A14 is a laptop with an identity crisis. It bills itself as a gaming laptop, but if that label is taken at face value, the TUF Gaming A14 fails. At an MSRP of $2,199.99, the TUF Gaming A14 is priced in league with many laptops with RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 graphics that will blow it out of the water. Heck, even the Razer Blade 14 with RTX 5060 retails for only $100 more than the Asus TUF Gaming A14 (though, to be fair, the Razer has just 16GB of RAM). On the other hand, the Asus TUF Gaming A14 benefits from an extremely capable APU that includes 12 fast processor cores. That, alongside 32GB of RAM and reasonably quick yet efficient AMD Radeon 8060S graphics, makes for a laptop that could work well as a portable workstation for 3D rendering, video editing, and similar tasks. Still, it’s hard to argue in favor of the TUF Gaming A14 when it’s sold at MSRP. Perhaps it’s a sign of the times as RAM pricing is causing laptop manufacturers to eye higher MSRPs for laptops. At the moment you can find better overall game performance at a low price—not only from competitors but also from prior variants of the Asus TUF Gaming A14.

EN→ESThe 2026 ASUS TUF Gaming A14 is a compact, powerful, well-built, and uniquely capable laptop owing to its shared memory system. But it’s not for everyone. If you’re a 3D artist working with massive models, a developer running local AI, or someone who needs flexible memory allocation, this laptop is genuinely special and worth the premium. However, it is not without compromises. The absence of a dedicated GPU means it cannot fully match traditional gaming laptops at this price, and the fan noise under load can be noticeable. At Rs 1,79,000, it also sits firmly in premium territory, where buyers may expect more raw power. That said, for creators, developers, or users who value flexibility and portability as much as performance, the TUF Gaming A14 stands out. It proves that you no longer need a bulky machine to get serious work, or gaming, done.

EN→ESThe ASUS TUF Gaming A14 isn't just another gaming laptop. Instead, it's a rethink of what one can be. In a category where most machines still hover around the 2kg mark, this one sheds over half a kilo without sacrificing serious performance. The result is a surprisingly portable machine that still holds its own in modern games and demanding workloads. If you want strong, well-rounded performance in a compact, easy-to-carry form factor, the A14 makes a very compelling case for itself. That said, raw power still has its place. At a similar price point, there are plenty of RTX 5070-equipped laptops, including options from ASUS, that will push higher frame rates and handle heavy graphical workloads more comfortably. So if your priority is squeezing out every last bit of FPS or maxing out visual settings, a traditional GPU-powered laptop might still be the better fit.

EN→ESThe Asus TUF Gaming A14 has a serious identity crisis that makes it hard to trust. On the face of it, it’s a good laptop. But I can’t look past that huge price tag and the subsequent downgrade in gaming performance and battery life that you get. It’s like charging you more for less — the laptop equivalent of Chili’s shrinkflation. I hope that in the future, we remember this laptop is supposed to be the affordable arm of the ROG Zephyrus G14. The hatchback you walk out the dealership with when you’re lured in by the supercar.

EN→ESIn addition to respectable gaming performance, the new TUF A14 seems ideal for day-to-day use due its excellent battery life. I used the laptop over the course of a workday, mostly switching between multiple browser tabs, some Windows tools and media, and I was able to get over seven hours of battery life on the Silent power profile.

EN→ESAs a side note, there’s another update of this series ready for 2026, with the TUF A14 FA401G refresh that bundles an updated Ryzen AI Series platform with up to an RTX 5060 115W (with 130W total sustained power in Manual mode). This is going to hold an edge in GPU loads and especially in games where DLSS 4.0 can play an important role, as it is somehow a higher power implementation than the 2025 A14 models. But this is going to run warmer and louder (45-48 dBA at full blast), even if the power increase might also come with an updated thermal module, perhaps.
