El vídeo responde al mismo nivel alto que esperarías en un terminal de gama alta, y en este Find N5 me ha encantado encontrarme no solo con una buena estabilización óptica si grabas caminando, sino también con una estética y un nivel de detalle tan bueno como la cámara lenta bajo la lluvia anterior. Solo he encontrado leves problemas de desenfoque que a ratos me han molestado, como si el enfoque automático trabajase demasiado en ciertos momentos, lo que en este aspecto le coloca un poco por debajo de los mejores iPhones y Xiaomi Ultras, por ejemplo. A nivel de sonido, como la mayoría de plegables tipo libro, este tiene una salida de audio en cada extremo para un efecto inmersivo cuando lo abres, algo en lo que me ha gustado sobre todo el soporte para Dolby Atmos. La música se oye clara y con nitidez, mejor que en muchos móviles con más espacio de altavoces, aunque suena menos alto que la media de modelos de formato normal.

No soy especial aficionado a los plegables de tipo fold, al final me siento más cómodo con uno flip que pueda llevar cómodamente mientras aprovecho la pantalla externa para gran parte de las acciones (sigo enamorado del Motorola Razr 50 Ultra). Y si tuviera que elegir un móvil con formato extendido, no tengo duda de que me iría a por el Oppo Find N5. Me va a ser difícil separarme de él. Es un móvil que se utiliza plegado como si fuera un teléfono «normal», el uso desplegado aporta las ventajas clave de una tablet, las pantallas se ven de fábula en cualquier situación, va súper rápido en todo, el grosor mínimo no le impide mantener una autonomía soberbia y hasta el software me parece acertado: ColorOS 15 permite una experiencia Android muy cercana a la de Google.

If the Find N5 isn’t readily available, I’d say that, in spite of its greatness, the hoops to import one and ensure all of its functionality is available to you are likely too numerous to overcome, especially when two similar-capable alternatives will be widely available in many markets without caveats.

I have to say that I was very excited by the prospect of the OPPO Find N5 and what could have been with the rumoured OnePlus Open 2 (sadly that never happened). I had my concerns going into this review from what I had seen in terms of the specs and various videos I had seen about the phone from initial hands-on impressions.

No one can stop you. If you want my opinion on it, then I’m going to lay a hot take here. While the OPPO Find N5 is indeed thin, I think that its thinness comes with many sacrifices. Remember – we cannot cheat physics. With a phone this thin, we can only fit so many components in it. It’s clear that the gaming performance is heavily affected, using a nerfed Snapdragon 8 Elite can’t help much either. The camera bump is also thinner but that doesn’t actually affect the quality much – except for the ultrawide angle camera. But my conclusion remains the same.

The Oppo Find N5 more or less represents the pinnacle of current foldable tech. It uses the most modern Snapdragon 8 Elite generation of chipset, and more importantly, it is exquisitely crafted to be exceptionally thin while still packing in a big Si/C battery and an impressive hinge that makes for an almost invisible display crease. Oppo even found space for a versatile camera system. The Find N5 is well-equipped through and through. It supports all of the latest connectivity standards, including some little extras like tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and video output via its Type-C port. The technological density on display here is really impressive. Oppo even found the space to fit in proper stereo speakers and even an IR blaster. Even Oppo's signature alert slider is present. Having said all this, is the Find N5 a perfect device?

Can book-style foldables get any slimmer than this? I’m not sure they need to. The Oppo Find N5 is practically as svelte as a non-folding flagship, with only the smallest of internal compromises. Real-world performance is rapid, battery life is really rather great, and image quality is suitably top-tier on two of the three rear cameras. It also adds features missing from the last-gen model like wireless charging, and puts rival foldables in the shade with its water resistance. Software that lets you maximise multitasking on the inner screen is then the icing on the cake. Cutting back the ultrawide to minimise the camera bump and losing a CPU core to keep temperatures in check are minor slights overall.

Unfortunately, it won’t be coming to the US, so if you’re like me and are in the US, you might need to import it. I’ve been using it on Google Fi (T-Mobile) and US Mobile (AT&T) and have had no issues for the past couple of weeks.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Unidad gráfica integrada en el SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite para smartphones con tres slices de 1,1 GHz cada una. Caché compartida integrada de 12 MB para las tres rebanadas. Según Qualcomm, un 40% más rápida que la generación anterior (Adreno 750).

Estas tarjetas también deben ser capaces de aguantar todos los juegos actuales, pero  la mayoría de ellos en configuraciones de detalles medios y bajos y con bajas resoluciones. Juegos más antiguos, o menos exigentes todavía pueden ser jugados con buena calidad de gráficos.
