EN→ESPoco X8 Pro Max is a well-balanced device if battery and performance matter to you. With the 9,000 mAh battery, Poco seems to have solved the power consumption of the device on a single charge, as it lasts a lot longer than expected. The MediaTek Dimensity chip is very well integrated, which supports both a long gaming session and a movie night (honestly, I did both and am very content). If you are looking for something that you could charge and worry less about losing power, great performance and a decent camera, this is a perfect fit for you in the mid-segment.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro Max feels like a device with a clear identity. Awarded to products with an average rating of 3.75 stars or higher, the AndroidGuys Smart Pick recognizes a balance of quality, performance, and value. Products with this distinction deserve to be on your short list of purchase candidates. It does not try to win every category, but it excels in the ones it chooses. Performance is strong and consistent, battery life is downright exceptional, and the display holds its own against more expensive competitors. The POCO X8 Pro remains an excellent option and will likely be the better choice for many people. It delivers a well-rounded experience that fits comfortably into the mid-range space. And let’s be serious for a moment. The only thing that makes this a middle of the road device is its approximate $410 USD price tag. The Pro Max, though, is the one that stands out. At what comes out to roughly $535 USD, it’s just so much phone for the money. Interestingly enough, it’s still priced far lower than what the big brands command. It is the phone you pick when you want fewer compromises in performance and endurance. It quietly reshapes expectations for what a mid-range device can deliver, especially for users who treat their phone as more than just a casual companion.

EN→ESIf you want an incredibly long-lasting Android phone that won’t break the bank, look no further: the Poco X8 Pro Max is wonderful as an affordable gaming mobile or business workhorse. It also ticks all the mid-range boxes, offering a solid processor and quick charging. It may be rough around the edges, with messy software and rear ring lights that aren’t as useful as you’d hope, but it's tough to find fault with a device that offers such formidable battery life.

There is more to the device than meets the eye, as we discussed in detail in our POCO X8 Pro Max review. EN→ESThe Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max makes a strong first impression with its robust build quality. It features a glass front protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, an aluminum frame, and a glass-fiber reinforced plastic back, giving it a premium feel that is also built to survive the unexpected. It is incredibly tough, boasting an IP68/IP69K rating, meaning it is not only dust-tight and waterproof up to 1.5 meters, but it can also withstand high-pressure water jets, perfect for those who live an active lifestyle. Flip it over, and you are greeted by a gorgeous 6.83-inch AMOLED display that is a visual treat. With support for a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and a peak brightness of 3500 nits, everything from scrolling through social media to watching HDR content looks incredibly vibrant and fluid, even under direct sunlight. Under the hood, the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max is a performance beast, powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset built on a cutting-edge 3nm process.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro Max has everything you want from a mid-range performance-focused smartphone. From its powerful chipset and effective cooling system to its massive battery, the phone delivers a consistently smooth experience, especially for gaming. The handset also holds its ground well in day-to-day use, backed by a vibrant display and dependable battery life that easily gets you through heavy usage. However, it falls short of being a true all-rounder, largely due to its serviceable camera setup, which prioritises an oversaturated look over accuracy and detail. Additionally, the software experience feels cluttered and less polished than its rivals, with an excessive number of pre-installed apps and occasional bugs holding it back. Similarly positioned phones, such as the iQOO 15R (review) and OnePlus 15R (review), may be a better fit if you want your smartphone to excel in these areas apart from gaming. That said, they are not as competitively priced as the POCO X8 Pro Max, which makes it a compelling option. The smartphone is priced at Rs 42,999 for the base 256GB storage variant, while the top-end 512GB variant costs Rs 46,999.

EN→ESThe Poco X8 Pro Max is tremendously good value. If you’re looking for a device that can game with the best of them, at a price that won’t break the bank, look no further. I’m really impressed with the build quality and the LEDs around the cameras give it personality. The glass back and aluminium sides make this device feel like a flagship phone, when in reality, it’s less than half the price. The battery life is astounding, too. It’s easily a two-day device, and it charges super quick when you eventually manage to run it down. It’s really only the cameras that fail to impress. They’re not awful, but the weak ultrawide camera and the lack of a telephoto mean that this phone lags a bit behind its competitors. If photography isn’t a huge priority, but gaming is, you’ll love this phone. It’s a powerful performer at a price that’s hard to beat.

EN→ESWith a tagline of “speed to the max”, you know that the Poco X8 Pro Max is all about performance. While that's not unusual for this Xiaomi sub-brand, the Poco X8 Pro Max certainly takes it to the next level — for a mid-range smartphone. Just take a look at its specs: It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset that's just a step below flagship-tier, and has a 8,500mAh battery that lasts longer than 99% of the smartphones in the market. The other hardware components aren't shabby, either. There's a large 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak 3,500 nits brightness. The Poco X8 Pro Max is also rated IP69K for water and dust resistance. In comparison, the cameras are merely serviceable (there's no telephoto camera, for instance). But then photography isn't the point here, it's the performance. The Poco X8 Pro Max starts from S$589 (S$559 till April 5) for the 256GB version, and is available in three colours: white, black, and blue.

EN→ESSo where does the Poco X8 Pro Max stand? The device comes with almost everything you need at this price. Great performance, good display, and solid battery life. If you are someone who is looking for a performance-oriented device, with a dash of flair, the X8 Pro Max can be a solid choice. While the device may not have the smoothest UI when compared to the OnePlus 15R or the iQOO 15R, the RGB lights do make it feel more unique. The cameras on the Poco X8 Pro Max may not be the best out there, particularly when compared to something like the Vivo V70 or the Oppo Reno 15. Though if you just want something for occasional clicks, the X8 Pro Max does the job fairly well. Another thing that the X8 Pro Max does have in its favour is the fact that it undercuts its rivals. The device starts at Rs 42,999, relatively lower than something like the OnePlus 15R which costs Rs 47,999. At this price, the Poco X8 Pro Max delivers on what it promises. In case you are looking for a power-packed device, you can consider it as your next phone.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro Max largely delivers on its promise of being a performance-first smartphone. Backed by a powerful chipset, fast memory, and an effective cooling system, the device handles demanding titles with confidence. More importantly, it maintains stable frame rates and better thermal efficiency than its closest rivals, which is crucial for extended gaming sessions. However, there are a few shortcomings worth pointing out. While peak frame rates are achievable, they aren’t always sustainable across all titles, and aspects like haptics and display tuning slightly dampen the overall immersive experience. Additionally, while battery endurance during gaming is impressive, it isn’t the most efficient. Still, the combination of strong, sustained performance, effective thermals, and thoughtful features like bypass charging makes the POCO X8 Pro Max a compelling option for mobile gamers.

EN→ESDoes the Poco X8 Pro Max deserve the “flagship killer” label? In my view, not entirely. That designation suggests exceptional performance above all, rather than excellent display or record battery life – both of which the X8 Pro Max offers. The device also includes an LED around the cameras, a well-built body, comprehensive connectivity, a competent software interface, and professional video recording. Missing elements include wireless charging, fully stable cooling, and more versatile camera capabilities. Despite these shortcomings, the Poco X8 Pro Max performs its intended role effectively.

EN→ESSo, should you buy the POCO X8 Pro Max? Honestly, yes. If you want the best performance possible at an unbelievably low price, the POCO X8 Pro Max is the phone that you should get. That MediaTek Dimensity 9500s is still a truly amazing chipset despite a generation old and still using the old but mature CPU and GPU architecture. However, you do have one alternative – the Xiaomi 15T Pro. It’s equipped with the Dimensity 9400+, and the performance is about the same as the POCO X8 Pro Max, has much better cameras and also an optical telephoto camera, but a smaller battery. The price is definitely higher, but I do think the Xiaomi 15T Pro is worth the price premium if you need better cameras. I truly love the performance of the POCO X8 Pro Max. For the price, it’s really a no-brainer even though when there are definitely some shortcomings here and there to make the price possible.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro Max is a phone that knows exactly what it wants to be, and it executes that idea remarkably well. Its headline feature — the enormous 9,000mAh battery — isn’t just a spec sheet gimmick; it genuinely transforms the ownership experience, easily delivering two days of use while still fitting into an 8.2mm body. Add to that a sharp AMOLED display, powerful Dimensity 9500s performance, strong gaming credentials, and fast 100W charging, and you get a device that punches well above its ₹42,999 price tag. The cameras are competent rather than exceptional, and the software still carries the usual bloatware baggage, but those are compromises that feel easier to accept when the rest of the package is this strong.

The combination of smooth performance, massive battery, premium display, and thoughtful features like RGB camera lights makes it a joy to use. Cameras aren’t the focus here, but if you prioritize speed, battery life, display quality, and a smooth user experience, this phone hits almost every mark. EN→ESSo, after covering all the bases, what do we think about the POCO X8 Pro Max? To put it to perspective, POCO’s X-Series has always been about delivering the best value for money in the sub-Php20,000 price range. The POCO X8 Pro Max seems to be expanding from that, now maximizing flagship-level performance while still potentially having a more competitive pricing. It’s still a POCO X-Series model after all. I wonder what will happen now for the base POCO F8 model…? If it ever comes out that is. However, with the RAM and storage drives soaring in prices, it’s probably safe to assume that the POCO X8 Pro Max or for any new smartphone release for that matter, will all be more expensive from now on. But if POCO is able to keep the prices low for the POCO X8 Series just like what they did with the F8 Series, then it’s gonna be easily one of this year’s most compelling options. Period.

Reviewing Xiaomi's Poco X8 Pro Max, an incredibly good value mid-range smartphone boasting an 8500mAh battery with 100W charging and impressive gaming chops. The Poco X8 Pro Max may lack a telephoto camera but it's still a dependable snapper, and in many ways matches the best flagship phones in 2026. EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro Max has been competitively priced in India for the specifications it offers. The handset is built to deliver top-tier performance and battery life in a package that remains surprisingly manageable. However, it won’t be an easy run, especially against rivals like the iQOO 15R, which is also a performance-oriented smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, stable 144fps gaming support, and a sizeable 7,600mAh battery paired with 100W charging. On paper, the POCO smartphone does appear to be the more compelling option. However, we’d recommend holding off on a purchase decision until our full review is out, where we’ll take a closer look at its real-world performance, camera capabilities, and long-term usability.

It offers a well-rounded package with very few compromises and a handful of standout features, all while keeping the price firmly in the "flagship killer" territory. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the X8 Pro Max is its battery. The massive 8,500mAh unit delivers outstanding endurance in our tests, easily ranking among the longest-lasting phones we've ever reviewed. EN→ESThe Poco X8 Pro Max is another excellent-value proposition for those who demand a little more performance from their mid-range phone. As the first Max in the series, it comfortably lives up to its name, offering a big and beautiful display, outsized performance, and epic stamina from a ginormous battery – albeit with a correspondingly inflated price. It’s a shame the cameras didn’t receive a smidgen of this Max love, even if we fully accept that this isn’t traditionally a priority for the Poco brand. The software, too, continues to be a weak point for Poco, as it is for the wider Xiaomi family. Still, if you have less than £500 to spend on your next phone and you want to go as big and fast as possible, buying the Poco X8 Pro Max would be a power move that we fully endorse.

EN→ESAt a starting price of just $429 (for early bird buyers), I can definitely recommend the Poco X8 Pro Max. The phone offers such a great package for the price that you should at least consider it. Granted, the camera system is not on par with big and expensive camera phones, even though the main sensor gets the job done. And the lack of wireless charging might be a serious dealbreaker for some. But the stellar battery life, the bright screen, the fast processor, and the overall pleasant design more than make up for the sacrifices Poco made to arrive at the aforementioned price.

EN→ESIron Man stands out among superheroes because, like Batman, his strength lies not in any supernatural power or even his exorbitant wealth (though that definitely helps). His power is in pushing himself, his mind, and his technology beyond the limits to achieve victory. That’s the association that POCO is trying to push with the X8 Pro Iron Man Edition, and it works! More than just the tasteful and elegant design, the POCO X8 Pro Iron Man Edition also embodies one of Tony Stark’s less-cited traits: his practicality. He doesn’t always aim for the most advanced and most expensive technologies but uses what’s available and pushes them to the limit to achieve amazing feats without too much cost. Just like the POCO X8 Pro Iron Man Edition, a mid-range phone that punches above its weight.

EN→ESThis device costs just $399 and can be purchased online from Poco’s global site with free delivery. That gets you 512GB of storage, and a phone sure to turn one or two heads. This phone is part of Poco’s partnership with Marvel and a tribute to the Avengers. It really offers the perfect balance of style, performance and power, exactly how Tony Stark would have wanted it.

EN→ESOverall, the POCO X8 Pro is a solid option for a mid-range gaming smartphone. You won’t have any issues with games like Mobile Legends, Wild Rift, and Call of Duty: Mobile. Graphically demanding titles do show some minor performance limitations, but they remain largely playable. If you’re looking for a POCO device for gaming, this latest model delivers solid performance.

EN→ESPoco has turned out another affordable performance beast in the X8 Pro, sporting the kind of high-performing components and aggressive pricing that fans of the brand will be well familiar with by now. We’ve basically seen this all before in previous models, though there’s been a commendable uptick in build quality to justify the small bump in price. I would have liked to have seen more progress made in the camera department, while Xiaomi’s software remains some of the least likable on the market, but it’s difficult to argue with the sheer level of performance on offer here – not to mention the quality of the screen – for less than £400. While the Poco X8 Pro Max will undoubtedly steal most of the attention, I’d encourage you to not sleep on the regular Poco X8 Pro. It offers a broadly comparable experience for significantly less money, all while catching a lot of its lower-mid-range rivals flat footed.

While the Pro Max model boasted one of the biggest batteries around and some seriously beefy performance, things get downgraded for the cheaper POCO X8 Pro. Not too harshly, however. Sure, the battery life isn't as supreme, but this phone can still survive a pretty long day. Meanwhile gamers get enough grunt to play through hardcore titles, despite the £350 UK starting price. Once again it's pretty basic camera tech slapped on the POCO X8 Pro, but it's good enough to snap your kids and pets for sharing online. Besides the hit-and-miss Hyper OS 3, there's a lot to love here for a mid-range price tag. Check out my full best midrange phones video for more ideas, but the POCO X8 Pro is solid competition for the Nothing Phone 4a etc.

EN→ESAnd if your decision turns out to be buying the Poco X8 Pro, it will be the right one for sure. The phone is the epitome of a flagship killer with high-end specs at a bargain price. The Poco X8 Pro has a likable and durable body, an excellent OLED screen with all sorts of perks and high brightness, capable cameras, amazing battery life, and, of course, impressive raw and sustained performance. We expected the selfie camera to be a disappointment, but it turned out rather okay, so we are gladly admitting when we're wrong. We'd still prefer a 50MP AF shooter here, of course, but that's reserved for Xiaomi/s more expensive phones. It was really hard to find fault with anything about the Poco X8 Pro. A telephoto camera would have made this phone a killer offer for sure, but even without it, it's sort of still killing it.The Poco X8 Pro is probably our easiest recommendation for 2026 so far.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro gets the basics just right: a vibrant display, solid performance, a sturdy build, and long-lasting battery. Sure, the RGB lights are a bit flashy, but otherwise it’s a solid midrange phone that does what you need it to. Worth your pocket space? Absolutely. The POCO X8 Pro starts at P18,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant, but you can get it for P15,499 during the early bird sale.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro nails it with the performance it offers at a price that appears to be not affected by the intense memory shortage affecting most brands. It’s arguably the best bang-for-your-buck midrange phone right now–especially if you can snag it with its early bird price until March 26.

EN→ESAfter using the POCO X8 Pro, I can say it’s one of the best mid-range phones this year. The design feels premium, the display is vibrant, and performance is smooth whether gaming or multitasking. Battery life is excellent, and 100W fast charging is a big plus. Cameras aren’t standout, but for casual shots, they get the job done. Overall, if you want a compact, performance-focused phone that feels more expensive than it is, the X8 Pro delivers solid value—and I genuinely enjoyed using it.

EN→ESOverall, the POCO X8 Pro is a promising mid-range smartphone. It offers a durable build, an impressive display, solid battery life, and strong performance. Its main drawback is the camera system, which may not satisfy users looking for top-tier photography. However, if performance is your priority, the POCO X8 Pro remains a solid choice.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro successfully balances performance, design, and functionality, positioning itself as a strong contender in the mid-tier gaming smartphone category. With its vibrant display, robust battery, powerful chipset, and surprisingly capable camera system, it caters to both gamers and everyday users. Priced at P18,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant and P21,999 for the 12GB+512GB version, the POCO X8 Pro offers strong value for money. Its durable build also suggests it can remain reliable for several years before an upgrade becomes necessary.

EN→ESThe POCO X8 Pro is a mid-range phone that poses as a flagship, with a beautiful design and performance that easily go beyond the box the mid-range label puts on a phone. It’s a great phone for anyone who just needs a phone to get through the day-to-day in style.

EN→ESLet's start with the price, as it's very important. Special edition phones tend to be expensive, but Poco somehow made the X8 Pro Iron Man quite affordable. It costs just $399, and for that amount of money you're getting 512GB storage, a big battery and fast charging, a super bright and crisp AMOLED screen, and really cool looks. On the other side of the coin there's the midrange chipset and camera and the lack of wireless charging. I think this model could be a great gift for your kid, as I don't think there's a youth that doesn't like Marvel and Iron Man in particular.

EN→ESFor yet another year on the trot, Poco has blown me away with how little it can charge for such an impressive set of hardware. The Poco X8 Pro Max takes battery capacity to places previously unheard of, at least to Western audiences, and has the raw performance to almost nudge into flagship territory. I do think the designs aren’t quite as unique as last year, which could be a problem seeing how Nothing has stepped up on that front for its Phone 4a and Phone 4a Pro duo. Poco’s overloading of app bloat is still a downer too.

EN→ESNow, here comes our verdict. The POCO X8 Pro Iron Man Edition surely focuses on performance, battery life and multimedia features while adding a themed design that appeals to Marvel fans alike. Its AMOLED display is sharp and bright, the Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip handles everyday tasks and gaming well, and the large battery helps the phone last through longer use. Gaming performance is generally strong, though very demanding titles may require small adjustments to graphics settings to keep thermals cool. And while the dual camera setup is relatively simple, the main sensor provides dependable results for casual mobile photography.

EN→ESThe Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro has been announced but is yet to be officially released, and on paper, it already looks like a strong mid-range contender. It features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 1268 x 2756 pixels resolution, offering sharp visuals and rich detail. With 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming, scrolling feels smooth and easy on the eyes. The screen supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid, and reaches a stunning 3500 nits peak brightness, making it excellent for outdoor use.
