AMD introdujo por primera vez las GPU Golden Rabbit Edition (o Great Radeon Edition) como tarjetas exclusivas para China, comenzando con la Radeon RX 7900 GRE basada en Navi 31 en julio de 2023.
Ese mismo año, AMD también presentó la RX 6750 GRE basada en Navi 22 en variantes de 10 GB y 12 GB.
Aunque la RX 6750 GRE no se lanzó oficialmente a nivel mundial, AMD sí presentó la RX 7900 GRE a todo el mundo con un PVPR de 549 dólares.
Ahora, AMD repite la historia con la nueva RX 9070 GRE basada en Navi 48. La tarjeta se lanzó originalmente en China en mayo de 2025, pero ahora estará disponible en todo el mundo, a partir del mismo MSRP de 549 dólares que la RX 9070.
