Los usuarios tienen muchas más elecciones en el mayor segmento de 17", por lo que cuesta mucho más recomendar el Aorus X7 Pro contra modelos bien establecidos como los Asus ROG o los Alienware. En este menor segmento de 14", empero, el X3 Plus sobresale mucho más favorablemente. El diseño es elegante sin ser excéntrico, el panel mate QHD+ es de muy gran calidad, el chasis de aluminio es rígido en la base y el rendimiento no se ralentiza durante el juego. Las tres ranuras mSATA pueden ser matar moscas a cañonazos, ya que habríamos sacrificado una con gusto por tener una bahía SATA de 2.5" para guardar instalaciones de juegos. No obstante, el X3 Plus ofrece más conectividad y controles de sistema más sencillos que el Razer Blade 14 sin las opciones de la pantalla táctil de vidrio.

Defectos notables incluyen un elevado ruido de ventilador y altas temperaturas superficiales, así como altavoces mediocres. Sin embargo, seamos honestos -- quién espere bajo nivel de ruido y temperatura con altavoces geniales en un subportátil ultradelgado de 14" con una GTX 970M de gama alta debería mirar en otro lado. Al menos, los ajustes del ventilador le dan al usuario un control más manual dependiendo de la carga de trabajo.

Algunas imperfecciones incluyen una tapa endeble que se retuerce y cruje con mucha mśa facilidad que la del Blade 14 e incluso que la del Gigabyte P34W. La base parece más rígida en comparación, pero se dan más crujidos cerca de las endebles bisagras. The base feels more rigid in comparison, but more creaking occurs near the weak hinges. El lustroso touchpad es otra mala elección de diseño que no funciona bien en la práctica.
