El predecesor fue bueno. El Dell Inspiron 17-5758 es sólo una pequeña actualización, y muchas de nuestras críticas siguen sin cambiar: Sólo hay unas pocas interfaces, que están posicionadas de forma poco favorable, pero al menos no están demasiado juntas. Falta Gigabit LAN y la garantía acaba tras 12 meses. Echamos a faltar la tapa metálica del predecesor, ya que era elegante y aseguraba una estabilidad de la carcasa ligeramente mejor. Así, el chasis del Dell Inspiron 17-5758 sólo parece modesta.

El dispositivo es demasiado ruidoso bajo carga y la gráfica dedicada apenas da para los juegos actuales. Bajo carga completa, el dispositivo se calienta demasiado por arriba. Por ello el procesador se ralentiza bajo carga.

Sin embargo, nos gustó el display mate IPS, que debería ser más brillante y tener colores más precisos. El ClickPad impresiona con su gran precisión, y el consumo de energía es agradablemente bajo. Además, la recepción Wi-Fi es impecable esta vez y ahora soporta el estándar Wi-Fi 802.11ac. La GeForce 920M incluso ofrece capacidades de juego básicas.

El Dell Inspiron 17-5758 es un poco de todo. Aunque el predecesor tenía sus defectos, parecía más equilibrado. Otros portátiles multimedia ofrecen bastante más por el mismo precio.
