Análisis para el Motorola Razr Fold
Origen: Xataka

EN→ESThe focus at this event was on the new Moto Razr Fold which, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 aside, is shaping up to be a competitive book-style folding phone. Between the flagship-grade triple 50MP rear camera system, 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and active stylus support, this handset is poised to give Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 a serious run for the money. You’ll have to wait for my full review to find out how it stacks up in the real world, though. Moto’s trio of flip-style folding phones – the Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026, an Razr Ultra 2026 – only deliver incremental updates across the board. While I welcome the larger silicon-carbon batteries and improved cameras, the lack of updated SoCs and higher prices make these handsets harder to get excited about. Then again, perhaps that’s to be expected considering the current economic landscape shaped by a massive DRAM and NAND shortage. The Razr Fold ($1,899), Razr Ultra 2026 ($1,499), Razr+ 2026 ($1,099), and Razr 2026 ($799) will be available for pre-order on May 14, with general sales starting May 21 from Motorola.com and Best Buy. In addition, the Razr 2026, Razr+ 2026, and Razr Ultra 2026 will also be available from Amazon.com and select carriers. The Moto Buds 2 Plus are coming to Motorola.com on April 30, and the Moto Pen Ultra on May 21.

EN→ESMeet the new Motorola Razr Fold a phone that is as clever as it is cool. This is not just a foldable, it is a statement. When unfolded, you get a massive 8.1 inch screen that feels like a small tablet, but when folded, it tucks neatly into a 160.1 x 73.6 x 10.1 mm package that fits in any pocket. It is surprisingly light at 243 grams, and Motorola has made it tough enough for real life with IPX9 water resistance meaning it can handle high pressure water jets and even survive a dunk up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. Plus, you get dual SIM options (Nano + eSIM) and built-in stylus support for jotting notes or sketching. The displays are absolutely next level. The main foldable screen is a stunning 8.1 inch LTPO P-OLED with a buttery 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. But it hits a staggering 6200 nits peak brightness that is visible even under direct sunlight. The cover screen is no slouch either a 6.6 inch LTPO P-OLED running at an ultra smooth 165Hz and 6000 nits brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.

EN→ESWith the Razr Fold, Motorola has jumped into the fray of book-style foldables, and while the brand has countered Samsung well over the years in the flip segment, this is serious territory. Samsung has had a hold over the fold (pun unintended) segment for a while now, especially in India, and the subcontinent is a crucial market for Motorola as well. Motorola hasn’t broken the mould here, but seems to have gotten the basics right. There’s no word on exact pricing and availability of the Razr Fold in India, but when it does land, we’d have a strong contender in the productivity-oriented, book-style foldable segment — capable enough to challenge both Samsung and Vivo, the two key players in this arena.

EN→ESWe put the Motorola Razr Fold through our rigorous DXOMARK Camera test suite to measure its performance in photo, video, and zoom quality from an end-user perspective. This article breaks down how the device fared in a variety of tests and several common use cases and is intended to highlight the most important results of our testing with an extract of the captured data. The Motorola Razr Fold delivered a well-rounded performance for a foldable device in the DXOMARK Camera tests. The optically stabilized 50MP primary camera and the 50MP ultra-wide both offer reliable exposure, nice colors and good detail in everyday use, outperforming folding competitors, such as the Honor Magic V5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, in the camera department.

EN→ESAs a long-time fan of Motorola’s clamshell output, it pains me to say that my first impression of the brand’s inaugural full-size foldable is… fine? There are some elements that I like, and some that I’m willing to be lenient on due to this being the first-generation model, but that price point is a bold statement and I’m just not sure that the specs can back it up. In particular, that IP49 dust and water resistance rating feels lacking. As it stands, I think the Motorola Razr Fold has a chance to surpass the Pixel Fold as the bronze medal, but neither Samsung nor Honor should be particularly concerned about this late-in-the-game arrival usurping their spot. I’ll be getting my hands on the Motorola Razr Fold closer to its April release date, so keep an eye out to see my final verdict soon.

EN→ESMotorola invited The Shortcut to a meeting in Barcelona at MWC to check out the new Moto Razr Fold, and I have to admit, it did more than just impress me with its potential. The new device, Motorola’s first book-style folding smartphone, was teased back at CES in January. Now, we’ve had a chance to go hands-on and spend time with it, and it could be the next phone you put in your pocket if Motorola can live up to its claims. See, not only does the Motorola Razr Fold have a premium design, high-end specs, and support for stylus input (whereas Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 does not), it also has some of the best cameras in any smartphone, at least according to Motorola. That’s a big claim for any smartphone maker, especially Motorola, whose reputation isn’t entirely positive when it comes to smartphone cameras.

EN→ESHowever, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the Razr Fold, such as its battery capacity, how much RAM it has, its processor and more. Additionally, it’s going to be interesting to see if Motorola can carve out a path into the book-style foldable market. Globally, the company already has a lot of competition. In North America, Motorola might have the best chance, but it’ll have to offer something great if it’s going to compete against the likes of Google, with a fully IP68-rated foldable and Samsung, which showed off a creaseless foldable at CES 2026. And with reports that Apple is also working on a foldable this year, hopefully, the Razr Fold will offer an experience that allows it to stand out.
