Quizá la nota más agridulce es esa ausencia de imanes para cargadores inalámbricos (que ya vemos en marcas más allá de la de la manzana), unos altavoces que no están a la altura del resto del terminal, una cámara frontal que con un sensor más grande podría brillar más y un kit de teleconvertidor que podría haberse resuelto de otra manera para no tapar la cámara principal. Excepto eso, cuando me pregunten qué móvil de gama premium elegiría, tengo claro que este Find X9 Pro estará en la lista de candidatos. Qué bueno, ver que la vuelta del Find X8 Pro a nuestro territorio no fue un canto de cisne, y qué ganas de ver qué hacen con la siguiente generación.

El Oppo Find X9 Pro es uno de los mejores móviles del mercado actual, de eso no tengo duda. Ahora bien, de ahí a ser un móvil recomendable hay un paso. Cuesta 1.299 euros, y como todo móvil de este precio, es difícil recomendarlo, se llame iPhone 17 Pro, Galaxy S25 Ultra o Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Es un dispositivo fabricado solo para unos pocos: aquellos que pretenden sacarle todo el jugo a la tecnología y tienen un bolsillo grande. No para llevarlo, sino para pagarlo. Es un móvil recomendable para todo aquel que ya tiene en mente ir a por uno de los gama alta más caros, pero quiere valorar más opciones fuera de las marcas clásicas. Ahí es justamente donde gana terreno este Oppo Find X9 Pro, pues es capaz de superar a la mayoría de opciones consolidadas como las grandes apuestas.

It’s definitely up there with other flagship premium smartphones in the market today. As for the teleconverter lens, it’s a separate purchase and will be at RM999. I think the price tag is a bit hefty since it is essentially a lens that is only usable on the OPPO Find X9 Pro and nothing else (at least for now). Early birds can get it for RM799 only, which is still a bit hefty.

While other phones are trying to refine their existing hardware as much as possible without making big changes, Oppo has taken huge swings that have paid off.

I’m pretty comfortable saying it’s the best model currently sold in the UK, but globally, the Vivo X300 Pro is a hot contender, as is Oppo’s own Find X8 Ultra. In any case, you can expect some stunning shots, and that’s what it’s all about.

There's also the fact that you get a much bigger battery on the Find X9 Pro, and the phone handily beats the global X300 Pro in this area. As for whether it is better than the Pixel 10 Pro XL or Galaxy S25 Ultra, there's no doubt in my mind — the Find X9 Pro is leagues ahead of its Google and Samsung rivals.

Si el OnePlus 15 me pareció un cohete y el Find X9 Pro una demostración de fuerza bruta fotográfica, este Find X9 es el triunfo del equilibrio. Es el teléfono para quien quiere lo mejor de esos dos mundos sin llevar un ladrillo (que tampoco es súper compacto) en el bolsillo ni pagar el peaje del precio más alto. Fuera del rendimiento, su mayor virtud es la batería. La tecnología de silicio-carbono ha matado la ansiedad. Tener un móvil de gama alta, con una pantalla brillante y un procesador top, que aguanta tres o cuatro días de uso, es una experiencia como mínimo de sobresaliente. Es difícil volver a un móvil con batería convencional después de esto.

In the end, I think the Oppo Find X9’s biggest problem has nothing to do with how good it is as a phone. It’s an exceptional piece of hardware. The biggest issue for me is that it’s very similar to the Find X9 Pro. It’s not much smaller than the ‘Pro’-labelled bigger sibling, it’s got the same processor, and a lot of the same features. It’s left me a bit confused as to why both exist, and if there has to be a non-Pro, why it’s not significantly cheaper with a few more compromises? It’s to the point where – having used both – despite some of the features being slightly better on the Pro version, I’d rather save a little money and get largely the same device. I can live without a dedicated camera button or the slightly better zoom camera for a lighter, smaller device with pretty much all the same features.

All things considered, we believe that the OPPO Find X9 is sick! It’s pretty favorable across the board with the only cons so far being its camera module redesign and lacking a loud sound stage. Now then, both of these things can be subjective and will boil down to user preference. What doesn’t lie is numbers, and the Find X9 proved to deliver a satisfying experience thanks to its fresh software skin and a powerful chipset, combined with a long battery life. You could argue that improvements to its display and cameras were incremental, but they didn’t do that bad last year. That said, I’d understand if OPPO didn’t want to change these as much. How does the saying go? If it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it. However, the Find X9’s pricing is pretty steep.

Después de esta primera toma de contacto, la sensación que nos deja el OPPO Find X9 Ultra es la de un dispositivo que sabe muy bien qué quiere ser y que ha construido casi todo su discurso alrededor de esa idea. Nos ha convencido por tacto, por ambición técnica y por una propuesta fotográfica que, al menos de entrada, resulta difícil de ignorar. Ahora bien, esto siguen siendo unas primeras impresiones. En esta primera toma de contacto no contamos todavía con material propio suficiente para enseñar con calma hasta dónde llega su cámara, así que esa comparación quedará para la review final. Para saber hasta dónde llega de verdad habrá que convivir con él, sacarlo del entorno controlado de la presentación y ponerlo a prueba en el día a día.

El OPPO Find X9 Ultra es un móvil completísimo que está a la altura de un gama superalta en 2026. Tiene una pantalla excelente, un rendimiento potentísimo, una batería que no te la acabas y un software muy completo. Pero no nos engañemos, si alguien compra este móvil lo hace por su cámara, la que de lejos es su característica estrella. OPPO se sitúa en el podio de las mejores cámaras con este Ultra; no sólo es la calidad del sensor principal o el telefoto 3x, ambos excelentes, es el angular, el zoom de diez aumentos y, quien se anime, también el teleconvertidor. La versatilidad del sistema de cámaras tiene pocos rivales ahora mismo, diría que sólo uno: el Vivo X300 Ultra. Si tengo que sacarle un punto débil sería el mismo que el de su competidor: es un móvil para un usuario demasiado concreto, alguien que valora la fotografía por encima de todo y está dispuesto a pagar por ella. La ventaja aquí es que el kit fotográfico es opcional, por lo que el desembolso no es tan alto, pero 1.700 euros sigue siendo mucho dinero y es para pensárselo mucho. Lo que sí puedo asegurarte es que, si buscas el mejor móvil fotográfico del momento, el OPPO Find X9 Ultra debe estar entre sus candidatos.

All three also offer up a large 6000mAh-plus battery, although I did find that one of this smartphone trio wasn't as dependable as the others for all-day life. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra serves up better camera hardware on paper, and I already gushed all over it in my review. However, the Vivo X300 Ultra uses the same main sensor and is certainly one of the best phones in 2026 for snapping photos and video.

For me, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is hands down the best camera phone I’ve used yet. Does a phone need four cameras? It depends on who you ask, but now that I have spent a few weeks with the phone, my resounding answer is yes. The 3x camera is phenomenal, the 10x camera zoom range is incredibly useful, and the quality far exceeds any digital zoom. Hasselblad Master mode is also a standout; it finally gives me exactly the kind of less-processed, more camera-like images with custom film recipes I've been wanting from a flagship phone. Add in superb video, excellent battery life, a gorgeous screen, and a design in Tundra Umber that I absolutely love, and Oppo has made my perfect camera phone. It is not completely flawless. Standard mode can still look too processed for my taste, the teleconverter integration is more limited than it should be, and there are still some minor settings tweaks I'd love to see. But if your priority is having the most capable, most versatile, most photography-focused phone possible, the Find X9 Ultra is exceptionally hard to argue against.

It’s an excellent handset everywhere else, with flagship performance, an impressively long-lasting battery, slick software and a gorgeous display – but the Find X9 Ultra’s biggest strength is how it sets the pace for photography-first phones. Oppo has delivered year-on-year improvements for every sensor and the firm is now comfortably the class leader for long-range zoom. Colours are authentic and detail is nuanced in ways few rivals can match. That said, Vivo and Xiaomi have also brought their A game this generation. Mobile movie makers might feel better served by the X300 Ultra (if it’s available in their territory), while Xiaomi’s Leitzphone commits harder to the camera brand tie-in through Leica-badged theme and widgets – though you pay even more for it. All three take superb stills; the winner in any given shooting scenario often falls to personal preference on colour treatment. They also highlight how much ground Google, Samsung and Apple have lost by prioritising algorithmic image processing over cutting-edge sensor hardware. I’d still spring for the Oppo, though. Only serious snappers will be able to justify the high cost of entry, but that 10x zoom is just so versatile.

In isolation, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is an excellent piece of tech, albeit pricier than other Ultras. It's not just a great cameraphone, it's a great all-rounder, too. It has an extra-long battery life, fast charging, a great display, although the full 144Hz is rarely utilized, and offers a nice, customizable software experience, which will get about five major upgrades in the future. However, if video quality is on top of your priority list, that may not be the Find X9 Ultra's forte. Videos are soft-ish across the board, or at least they are not on an "ultra" level. It's too early to say whether it's the best camera-centric phone in the first half of the year, but it's definitely up there with the best, and honestly, that should be enough. Still, we suggest waiting for all Ultras to hit the market before digging deep into your pockets. But among the big three cameraphones, the gaps are so small that it will probably boil down to preferences regarding design, software, your favorite focal lengths and features more than anything else.

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra global launch is confirmed for April 21, and it appears this super-flagship phone could finally be released in the UK! The latest leaks and rumours point to some ridiculously good camera tech, so here's a final look at the latest news ahead of our OPPO Find X9 Ultra review. The biggest difference between this almighty mobile and the Pro model appears to be the camera hardware. Not too surprising given the size of that bump. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra will apparently sport a PAIR of 200MP sensors, one for the regular wide shooter and one for the telephoto snapper. That main sensor is the same Sony Lytia effort slapped in the Vivo X300 Ultra, which I reviewed just yesterday - so check that out for an idea of what to expect vs the OPPO Find X9 Ultra! In other areas, this phone appears to be similar to the Pro model. That display should be another stunner, while the battery capacity is slightly reduced for the OPPO Find X9 Ultra. Hopefully still more than good enough for all day play, however.

But at its current pricing, the regular Find X9 feels like the more sensible choice. Unless Oppo decides to discontinue the standard model, then we’ll have a different debate.
