Mini Tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Review: Hands-on
Origen: T3 Inglés EN→ES
Overall the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is shaping up to be a definite rival to the likes of the Amazon Kindle Fire, offering a discreet premium tablet that will easily be able to handle media intensive apps. Of course the inclusion of a 3G model will no doubt be a selling point as well.

70% Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi
Origen: PC World Inglés EN→ES
With the Samsung Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi, we now have a great choice for anyone looking to dip a toe into the tablet universe without spending a fortune. It has its limitations, and it lacks the cutting-edge technology and OS of newer tablet models, but it also still has its strengths too. Think of it as a tweener until you graduate to the big leagues. It's a good alternative to an off-brand, low-cost Android tablet; the Galaxy Tab beats those products by miles, and it remains a viable, albeit less-sexy-than-it-once-was gadget for mobile e-mail, Web browsing, and multimedia consumption.

Galaxy Tab Review
Origen: Ubergizmo English Inglés EN→ES
So, what does Tab do that a Galaxy S phone (or any Android or iPhone) doesn’t do as well or that a laptop does better? Maybe video watching and, maybe, game playing. In other words, what does it do? What function does it create or improve upon? It can’t be a laptop replacement, it’s a worse camera than any Android phone or iPhone, there’s no desktop ecosystem supporting it, and, worst of all – it’s expensive. Sprint’s version with a 16 GB card is $649 for a giant Android phone that doesn’t make phone calls. The only customers are those with a “dumb” cell phone who want the benefits of a larger screen for Web surfing, movie-watching and game play. And in a few months, Tab is going to have a LOT of cheaper, better endowed competitors.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Review - Android takes on the iPad
Origen: PC Perspective Inglés EN→ES
Overall, I have been very impressed with both the form factor, and performance of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. With a more portable, but still very expansive 7” screen, at a similar resolution to the 10” iPad, it provides more room for applications and an overall more usable Android experience. The real test for the Android tablet market will be in the upcoming months, with the pending release of Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). Honeycomb features an all new tablet-redesigned interface. This, as well as the dual core processors, such as the Tegra 2 platform, and other ARM A9 Dual Core options, should refresh the tablet market, and keep it interesting for the forseeable future.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is now available in India for Rs. 31,200. It is clearly the best Android tablet in the market today and in fact the best tablet that’s officially available in the country. However, once you put it next to the Apple iPad, its drawbacks become clearer. While the Galaxy Tab is clearly a more portable device and offers more features (for instance front and back cameras, telephony etc.), the Apple iPad emerges the better tablet on account of it being more usable and a more refined product. However, on its own the Samsung Galaxy Tab is a very good product and a worthwhile consideration, if you are looking to buy a tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab works great as an Android device. It has an excellent processor, good display, loud and clear speakers, and excellent battery life. The tablet can run virtually any app available for Android, even if some apps don’t scale properly to the display. In other words, the Tab is at least as good as the best Android phones on the market… except the US version doesn’t make phone calls.

Origen: Laptop Mag Inglés EN→ES

With a good selection of tablet-optimized apps, access to the Android Market, and a brilliant high-res screen, the Galaxy Tab is the only real iPad competitor on the market right now. What we like about the Verizon version in particular is its textured back (which makes it easier to hold), strong 3G performance, and wallet-friendly 1GB data plan. The lack of video chat support gives us pause, but this feature hasn't worked very well on other Galaxy Tabs we've used, and Verizon will likely address this issue over time. Our only other complaint is that Verizon charges extra for text messaging, though the carrier lessens that sting by throwing in the mobile hotpsot feature for free. Overall, Verizon's version of the Galaxy Tab stands out because it offers you the flexibility to purchase broadband service only in the months when you need it and backs up that flexibility with reliable service.

Origen: Tech2.in.com Inglés EN→ES
The Apple iPad has been in need of some ‘wing clipping’ for some time now. Even though it might not be available here legitimately, it’s still one hell of a popular device. Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Tab actually managed to get itself here legally before Apple’s iPad, and brought with it quite a bit of confusion when it comes to choice. The Dell Streak didn’t impress me and I had my doubts about the Olive Pad, the only two other tablets in India to make it out in an official capacity. I was sceptical about the Tab and after using it for the last few days, here’s my take on the whole ‘Tabbing’ experience.

Verizon Galaxy Tab Review
Origen: Slashgear Inglés EN→ES

It’s ironic but, for all Verizon’s work on custom apps, it’s the textured casing that makes the biggest difference to day to day use of their Galaxy Tab. A slightly more reassuring in-hand feel left us feeling far happier grabbing the Tab and using it for casual reading; of course, that’s something which a silicon case could address on other versions of the slate, or indeed some self-adhesive pads as we applied. The same Galaxy Tab frustrations still remain from the T-Mobile version, the lack of official voice support being top of our list. We’re a little less confident in hacks for the Verizon version opening that up, however, though VoIP support remains good. Verizon could score a significant win over its carrier rivals by allowing the Skype 3G app for use on the Tab; it seems, however, that the fear of users downsizing to a single device is too great for that to happen.

For those making the jump to the Galaxy Tab, they’re getting a solid, well-built and flexible device that, while not perfect, is a compelling alternative to the iPad. Expensive, yes, and with limitations to be aware of, but they’re broadly the same criticisms leveled at Apple’s tablet when it launched. Apps like the Wall Street Journal’s show there’s a usability argument to be made for 7-inch slates, and it’s likely to be the first of many as Android tablet software development gains traction. This is a niche that looks unlikely to go away, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab is a solid starting point if you can look beyond its price tag.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a worthy rival to the Apple iPad. Android 2.2 is a great operating system, it adds a camera and phone capability, and the battery life is excellent. The Tab is also a good size and weight to hold over long periods, and text input is no problem due to the width of the device and the decent keypad. The real negative for us was the price.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab proved to be the product of IFA 2010, and has seldom left the headlines since its Berlin debut. Seven inches of Android slate, it promises to be the open alternative to Apple’s iPad and the poster-child for Google’s OS done right on a bigger display. It’s also prompted some significant criticism, with even Steve Jobs weighing in on how suitable the Tab’s screen and OS are to tablet use. Plenty to live up to, then, not least the price tag; check out the full SlashGear review after the cut.

Samsung deserves credit for being the first to company to truly challenge the iPad with a piece of hardware that's well designed and easier to take with you..The ability to make video calls and free GPS navigation also shouldn't be overlooked, as well as the apps Samsung bundles that are optimized for tablet use. Still, the Galaxy Tab isn't for everyone. Those who already own a smart phone with a larger screen may not like the idea of toting a device that's not much bigger, especially one that comes with its own data plan (should you decide to go the 3G route). We also think consumers would prefer one place to purchase music, TV shows, and videos--if not apps, too--similar to iTunes. Nevertheless, once Android developers get their tablet acts in gear, the Galaxy Tab will be an even more formidable iPad foe.

THERE'S no denying that Android Tablets are the flavour of the day as most consumer electronics companies hurry to get their own Tablets out to meet the growing demand for these devices. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has generated a lot of buzz since it was unveiled at the IFA show in September. It is certainly the most talked about Android Tablet that everyone is eager to get their hands on. Thanks to Samsung, we managed to spend some quality time with a retail unit of the Galaxy Tab.

Samsung Galaxy Tab review
Origen: Tech Advisor Inglés EN→ES
Samsung's Galaxy Tab is just the beginning of Android's entry into the tablet battle. Motorola is expected to have a high-end Android tablet on the market sometime in the coming months; the latest rumours point to it being a 10-inch device with Google's as-of-yet unreleased Android 3.0 operating system. Samsung itself is believed to have additional Android tablets in the works, too, including 8- and 10-inch versions of the Galaxy Tab described above. Even Google may be unveiling its own tablet before long, though it could very well end up running Chrome OS instead of Android. Ultimately, it's all good news for us: Just like we're seeing with smartphones right now, the more competition there is, the more each manufacturer is forced to fight for our attention. As our options expand, innovation improves and products get increasingly better. Android will no doubt be a fierce contender in the tablet war, but Apple isn't about to lie down and disappear. No matter how you look at it, this battle will benefit us all.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is U.S. Cellular's only 4G LTE tablet, but we have a better idea. The carrier lets you use its Android phones as Wi-Fi hotspots, and it plans to sell a standalone MiFi-style hotspot as well. If you're interested in speeding along on the nation's most-loved network, get a Samsung Galaxy S Aviator, U.S. Cellular's upcoming 4G LTE phone, or U.S. Cellular's upcoming standalone Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. Then pair one of those with the Wi-Fi-only models of the new Apple iPad, Apple iPad 2 ($399, 4.5 stars) or Asus Transformer Prime Wi-Fi tablet (Best Deal: $499.99 at Walmart.com). You'll get the best of both worlds: U.S. Cellular's LTE service with a better tablet, and no extra two-year contract.

Android versus iPad is ultimately a religious war. The decision on which side to support should probably be made at the macro level. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review - The Best Android Tablet?
Origen: PC Perspective Inglés EN→ES
While I appreciate the time Samsung spent on the overall quality of the Tab 10.1's construction and design, I would have liked more attention paid to the details in the software and custom apps department. Like many consumers, I have high expectations when I pay $500 for a mobile device. I expect it to do almost every task that my laptop can do, and in some instances, I expect to be more productive too. That being said, the Tab 10.1 met most of my expectations and I think they have room for improvement to make the tablet more flexible to consumer needs so we can integrate the tablet with other devices we use in our personal and professional lives.

Overall, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a hugely likeable device. With its slick performance, lightweight chassis and excellent screen and speakers, it captures the instinctive, tactile appeal of Apple’s tablet better than any rival we’ve seen. It has its weaknesses – notably the battery life – and it’s hardly innovative. But if you can find one in the shops, it’s the best Android tablet we’ve seen, and a compelling alternative to the iPad 2.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is an attractive purchase: it’s well-built, slim and light, has a valuable collection of quality apps, and sports a comparatively low price. It even fares well in performance benchmark tests against its competitors. However, some of these competitors offer better value by building memory card slots and comms ports into tablets costing roughly the same price. Here, Samsung takes yet another leaf out of Apple's book, as all those niceties will cost you extra.

Slimmer and lighter than an iPad 2, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 proves that Android tablets don't have to be iOS's ugly sisters. It tops off a svelte design with a brilliant screen, decent battery and comfortable-to-hold back. Aside from limited connectivity, its faults are wider Android problems rather than things to level at Samsung and its design team.

Certainly not perfect, lacking in decent apps and not quite the elusive iPad 2 beater we were looking for, Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 is still the best Android tablet you can get. Samsung is charging £399, the same as Apple for the entry-level 16GB version and is selling a 32GB and 64GB 3G-enabled model but wouldn't give us the price on those.

The pricing and availability for the 3G version of the Galaxy Tab is yet to be decided but the Wi-Fi version is selling for the same price as the iPad in the US so expect to pay another $100+ for the 3G version. Question is, would I recommend or buy the Galaxy Tab 10.1 at that price? Honeycomb is still a bit behind and Touchviz doesn’t really smoothen things by much but if I was considering a Honeycomb tablet, it would be very much between the ASUS Transformer because of it’s hybrid nature and cheaper pricing and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 because of its amazing form factor.

That said, I’m still not convinced anyone needs an Android tablet. There are still only a few hundred apps designed specifically for this sort of tablet — which means that most of the apps you run on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 are also available for Android smartphones. If you have an Android phone and find yourself constantly frustrated by the limitations of the small screen, or if you want a tablet specifically because you want a mobile device that you can use without increasing your monthly phone bill, I suppose this type of tablet could fit the bill.

Because Samsung customizes user interfaces, it has to customize OS updates as well, in order to keep the user interface experience consistent for the customer—and this takes a while. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 will ship with un-customized Honeycomb 3.1, but Samsung will soon push out an update that will change the way the user interface looks and operates. Samsung reps claim the changes will be subtle, but regardless of how they look, it could be a huge gamble on Samsung's part, and on the part of early buyers of the Tab 10.1. Users accustomed to Honeycomb will have to adapt to the new changes, and of course, when Google pushes out further updates to the OS, Samsung will have to first customize them and then push that update out to its customers. If it's a matter of days or even a few weeks, that's not a huge deal. But Samsung's customers in the mobile phone world know firsthand that Android updates can take a long, long time—months—before the manufacturer deems them ready for release. What you're getting when you buy the Galaxy Tab, in other words, might not be what you'll get long-term.

Whether you go Wi-Fi only or opt for a connected version, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the first Android tablet that makes a credible and successful run at competing with Apple's iPad 2. It matches iPad 2 in design, price, and even that intangible IT factor. Its decision to sacrifice ports is disappointing but not a dealbreaker; heck, Apple's been doing the same thing from the outset. It's more difficult to find tablet-optimized apps at Google's Android Market than at Apple's App Store does, but again, that may not be a dealbreaker. If neither of those constraints faze you, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 may be a good match. It certainly is one of the top tablets available today. And it becomes the flagship Honeycomb tablet for showcasing what Android 3.1 can do.

The somewhat plasticky chassis reminds us of Samsung’s recent smartphones, though is the inevitable compromise to the sub-600g weight, and Android still has its tablet-scale flaws, but overall it’s the hand-feel, which convinces us on the Galaxy Tab 10.1. In fact the biggest competition on that front may be Samsung’s own Galaxy Tab 8.9, offering the same screen resolution in a more compact form factor, which arrives later in the year. Feature-chasers should probably opt for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, but content-consumers looking for the most easily toted tablet will find plenty to like in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

For the latter of those you can take advantage of front facing camera, which is joined back a rear facing 8-megapixel one that includes an LED and autofocus. We have been using Android Honeycomb tablets since they have come out and even after using using both the ASUS Transformer and the Motorola Xoom we have to say the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has hands down the best design. It is the thinnest and lightest 10.1" tablet on the market, so its no wonder that we feel in love with the look at feel of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Our external impressions of the Galaxy Tab were great, but we did notice that some of the common amenities that other Android tablets have are missing on this one. For example, this one is missing both a microSD card slot and a microHDMI port. Samsung offers optional accessories for the 30-pin connector to adapt to take memory cards and HDMI cables, but if you wanted to buy both you are looking at adding another $50 to the cost. Asus Transformer vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Origen: Fudzilla Inglés EN→ES
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 is currently the most compact tablet in its class, but Transformer TF101 boasts better connectivity. Asus’ docking station also comes with a battery that extends battery life to as much as 16, but both laptops will be good for 8+ hours of intensive work. Both tablets’ performance is pretty similar, seeing as how both use Nvidia’s Tegra 2 SoC, which has proven to be good in multitasking and Android 3.1. Galaxy Tab 10.1 looks sleeker, it is easier to hold in one hand, but you may find connectivity a bit lacking. On the other hand, Transformer boasts a more robust build, mini-HDMI and microSD card reader and while a bit heavier, the finishing touches are quality. Thanks to the docking station, Transformer will turn into a notebook, which is not the case with Galaxy Tab 10.1. Price difference is at about €40 in Transformer’s favor. You can find this Asus tablet at about €400, here, while Galaxy Tab 10.1 is still unavailable in the EU. However, Galaxy Tab 10.1 is available in the US, where it sells for $499. The keyboard dock for Transformer alone sells for €100 Euro in Euro zone and $120+ in USA but it makes perfect sense to get it as it makes this tablet stands out from the crowd. Asus transformer is definitely worth considering as it is a netbook and tablet at the same time, while Galaxy 10.1 is basically just a nicer tablet.

The form and size of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 feels perfect for a device you can grab to take with you for a long trip, a meeting, or a trip to the ballpark. It isn't as unwieldy as a 10-inch tablet, but the tradeoff is the screen loses real estate previously devoted to input. As a result, it doesn't feel like a serious business device (unless you pair it with a keyboard) that you would want by your side through a busy day of meetings and projects.

If you’ve not yet splurged for a tablet of your own and you aren’t quite sure if the iPad is for you, then this tablet might just fill that little space in your heart. While it does suffer from some sluggishness due to Android 3.2, it’s still a gorgeous little tablet that is ultra-portable and gets the job done. While there are similar-sized Android tablets out already, the screen on the Tab 7.7 just has to be seen to be appreciated. While I don’t recommend using the call features of this tablet, it will work well for just about anything else you can throw at it.

Origen: PC Mag Inglés EN→ES
On hardware alone, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is the highest-quality tablet Samsung currently offers. The thin and light design is top-notch, battery life is incredible, and the Super AMOLED Plus screen is gorgeous, but it's held back by the rough-around-the-edges, outdated Honeycomb OS and a high off-contract price. The 10-inch Wi-Fi-only Asus Transformer Pad TF300 packs in the latest quad-core Nvidia processor and Android OS and manages an affordable sub-$400 price. Samsung's own Wi-Fi-only 7-inch Galaxy Tab 2 costs nearly a third of the price and comes with Ice Cream Sandwich on-board. If LTE connectivity is a major concern, you should consider a hotspot like the Verizon Jetpack ($49.99, 4.5 stars), and couple it with a less-expensive Wi-Fi-only tablet. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is beautiful, but unless you really need Verizon LTE inside your tablet, it's simply too expensive.

A few months ago it seemed as if the verdict was in regarding tablet screen sizes – the world had a yen for ten, as it were. The popular tablets were all featuring a 10in screen (or very close to a 10in screen) and other attempts at smaller form factors such as the Dell Streak and the original Samsung Galaxy Tab were mostly being seen as strange failed experiments. Luckily cooler heads prevailed and we’ve seen smaller sizes slowly creep back onto the market.

Samsung recently admitted that it's "not doing very well" in Android tablets. Will the $499 Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 change that? There's certainly a lot to like here. The device combines fast 4G LTE speeds and a dazzling display and wraps it all up in a .03-inch chassis. Consumers that are put off by the $499 price might want to consider the $249 (with contract) Pantech Element, which offers faster AT&T 4G LTE speeds in a waterproof chassis. If you don't want to make an expensive two year commitment for mobile broadband, consider Wi-Fi-only options like the Kindle Fire ($199) or Toshiba Thrive 7-inch ($379.99)

This device is, again, what I’m gonna go ahead and say is the sweetest spot for tablets at the moment. If I had to choose between this device and the Galaxy Note (original), I’d choose the Note. I’m still of the opinion that tablets are mostly bonus devices made for fun rather than utility, and the Galaxy Note takes care of everything I could possibly want a smart device to do. That said, if you’ve got a want for a tablet, this one’s a magical size. If you’ve tried a 10-inch tablet and you find it sort of absurd, but still want a display larger than your everyday average smartphone, take a peek at this tablet at your local Verizon outlet. It’s certainly an entertaining device to play with.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping its small size would translate to a small price, you're in for a disappointment. Though no official UK RRP has been announced, early stocks are selling for £470 inc VAT. (The mid-price market will likely be served by the 10in and 7in Galaxy Tab 2 models recently unveiled at Mobile World Congress.) With the likes of Motorola's Xoom 2 Media Edition selling for £100 less, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is perhaps more an object of desire than a realistic purchase.

There's really only one thing wrong with the Tab 7.7, and that's the price. Even though it has a superlative screen and outstanding battery life, it's hard to justify when it costs £70 more than a high quality 10inch tablet. For smaller tablets, it's an even tougher sell: the 8.9inch Motorola Xoom 2 Media Edition is nearly as good but costs £150 less, and then there's the improbably cheap Kindle Fire, which simply has to hit UK shores soon – assuming we don't skip straight to the Kindle Fire 2. If we were Samsung, we'd ditch the Tab 2 and focus on getting the price for this down, because everything about it is the way a tablet should be. As it is, sidelining the star of the Galaxy Tab line-up seems a mistake.

An Android-powered tablet which connects to Verizon Wireless's 4G LTE network, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is very, very similar to the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus ($399, 3.5 stars), which we reviewed in November, with a few notable differences. First of all, obviously, it's a little bigger – instead of a 7-inch screen, it's 7.7 inches. As I was holding and playing with it, though, that didn't change its identity as a 'small' tablet. I would never have been able to peg its size if I hadn't been very familiar with 7-inch tablets. Like other Samsung small tablets, it's very thin and light, at only 7.9mm thick and 12 ounces.

So where does the Samsung 8.9 rank in the current hierarchy of tablets? Well, we’d say quite highly. It shares so many of the characteristics that made the Galaxy Tab 10.1 such an impressive device, but manages to condense it all into a smaller, more bag-friendly design. The screen is brilliant and ideal for reading and watching movies, while the Touchwiz overlay helps to separate it from many of the other Android 3.0 tablets currently on the market. We would have liked to have seen some USB or SD card support like the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime but Samsung appears to be putting faith in its All Share platform and DLNA instead. Ultimately though, this is another fantastic Samsung tablet that surpasses its 10.1-inch compatriot (albeit with a bigger price tag) and is a great alternative to the Apple iPad 2.

Stand the Galaxy Tab 8.9 next to the iPad and it’s far from a foregone conclusion. The 8.9 is lighter, skinnier and has a better screen, plus home screens that catapult you right into the action. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is really just a tweak of the existing 10.1-inch Tab, but that tweak makes it a bit more appealing. It's a little more portable and a little less expensive, without losing a pixel of screen resolution, a hertz of processor speed, or a byte of storage. That said, we have the same problem with this tablet that we do with most high-end Android tablets this size: It's going up directly against the iPad, which has far more apps and a stronger ecosystem. Seven-inch Android 3.2 tablets at least have the benefits of being more portable and having phone apps look decent in zoomed mode. But it's hard to argue why the masses, when presented with this device and an iPad, should pick the Tab 8.9. If you're not an Apple fan, though, and you want the thinnest Android tablet you can get, the Tab 8.9 is a solid choice.

This is a very good tablet, but here's the central problem: The Android Honeycomb app selection is stillborn, and industry interest is moving towards the next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0. The good news is that the Tab 7.0 Plus is slated to get an ICS upgrade at some point. If you like the features on this tablet (other than the poorly working remote), by all means get it. A bit of business. Samsung wants to participate more strongly in the business field with its Galaxy Tab Active. The tablet is not only dust and waterproof, but it also protected against drops. It might just be an interesting alternative for field workers with LTE and stylus inputting.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active

Although well-equipped for the great outdoors, the imbalance of performance and price means the Tab Active 2 only holds niche appeal. Older hardware and a high price tag make this a tricky buy for those who aren’t set on using it in the great outdoors.

Consumers and educators in this price range should pick the iPad instead. It's faster, with double the storage, a sharper screen, and better creative software. The Tab Active2's small, relatively low-density screen and lack of space for apps will frustrate consumers who could have gotten a more functional iPad instead. But for your restaurant kitchen or parking patrol, this rugged tablet is just the ticket.

The Galaxy Tab Active Pro hits its targets well. Businesses in the market for a rough-and-tumble tablet with enough performance to get the job done, optional 4G LTE connectivity, and a body that takes a licking don't have a lot of options. Fortunately for them, however, Samsung's rugged tablet ticks off those boxes and do so with some flair.

La Adreno 305 a menudo sólo ofrece mitad del rendimiento de la Adreno 320 y está sólo un poco adelante de la Mali-400 MP4. Very demanding Android games of 2013 may not run completely smooth, but simple titles like Angry Birds and the usual multimedia tasks are no problem.
