Toshiba hace una buenísima labor en muchos aspectos y cumple promesa tras promesa: la movilidad es más que ideal gracias al reducido peso, pantalla antirreflejos con alto brillo, y aguantes de 12 a 16 horas. Las emisiones apenas merecen mención más allá de esto: El pequeño ventilador es virtualmente inaudible. La promesa de potencia de portátil auténtico con buen uso de Turbo en el tamaño más pequeño convertible se cumple.

El chasis de magnesio pesa 1.024 kg lo que es hasta menos de lo que especifica el fabricante: 1.1 kg. Así, el Portégé X20w es el dispositivo más ligero comparado con otros modelos 2-en-1 diseñados según el conecpto Surface Pro 4 (teclado anclable).

No tiene igual entre otros modelos plegables de 360º. El ThinkPad Yoga 260 12.5" pesa 1.3 kg.

Las empresas estarán interesadas en el X20w ya que sencillamente incorpora todas las opciones de seguridad del mercado - salvo la SmartCard. TPM, lector de huellas, cámara IR para Windows Hello, Toshiba's BIOS, e Intel's Active Management. El AES stylus viene incluido, como cabe esperar de un precio tan alto.

En definitiva son los pequeños detalles los que reducen la valoración: La respuesta del teclado es algo débil a nuestro parecer. El Miix 720 es el modelo a seguir aquí. La mala cámara frustra las grabaciones de primera del micrófono. Aunque con las bases anclables Thunderbolt 3  (modelos estacionarios y de viaje) va de serie, vuelve a hacer falta un adaptador para conectar un monitor HDMI o DisplayPort. El dispositivo no puede recargarse simultáneamente en este caso ya que el monitor bloquearía el puerto Type-C necesario para la recarga.

Nos complace darle una recomendación de compra al Toshiba Portégé X20w-D-10R. El elevado precio no tendrá lugar en todos los presupuestos, especialmente en los de usuarios domésticos o autónomos.

Podemos recomendar el Aspire Switch Alpha 12 sin ventilador a quién esté busando un dispositivo quedo y libre de ralentización. Sin embargo, su aguante de batería es relativamente corto. En este caso, el Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Core i5 con ventilador es mejor. Asus Transformer 3 Pro T303UA puede excluirse debido a su breve aguante. El IdeaPad Miix 720-12IKB que estamos testando actualmente se ralentiza demasiado y es demasiado ruidoso.
