Los puntos fuertes del nuevo tablet de Samsung son su construcción sobria pero sofisticada y muy delgada así como la nueva pantalla 4:3 Super-AMOLED. Le sigue fácilmente el ritmo a su excelente predecesor y convence con un contraste genial, buenas capacidades en exterior y colores brillantes y precisos. Las amplias características con AC-Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, y LTE Cat. 6 así como un lector de huellas tampoco tienen de qué avergonzarse. Es, empero, una lástima que no traiga NFC. Otra ventaja es la función de teléfono del dispositivo cuando usas el manos libre integrado o un headset. El almacenamiento interno de 32 GB puede ampliarse con una microSD (hasta 128 GB) si es necesario.

Una vez más, en la trasera hay una cámara de 8 MP, pero ahora puede grabar vídeo en QHD con imágenes muy nítidas. La calidad de las fotos, por otro lado, apenas ha cambiado respecto al predecesor: La calidad es decente para un tablet, pero no puede competir con buenísimas soluciones smartphones. Es una pena que el nuevo modelo haya eliminado el flash LED del predecesor.

La duración de la batería es más corta, y los resultados de nuestro modelo de pruebas son - según el escenario - mediocres como mucho. Un problema más serio es la decisión de Samsung de ralentizar el SoC bajo carga sostenida. Las caídas de rendimiento de hasta el 40% ni son comunes ni necesarias dadas las moderadas temperaturas. El dispositivo no puede convencer en este aspecto.

El Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 es un tablet muy bonito y sofisticado que podría atraer a muchos usuarios en la práctica gracias a sus compactas dimensiones, bajo peso y genial display. Sin embargo, tendrás que conformarte con un aguante mediocre de la batería y problemas de ralentización bajo carga sostenida.
