El procesador quad-core Apollo Lake integrado en el Spin 1 ofrece suficiente potencia de cáculo para las aplicaciones ofimáticas y de internet. El decodificador integrado en la GPU permite reproducir los formatos de video habituales.

No le falta almacenamiento, ya que Acer incluye un HDD de 500 GB. Para cambiar el HDD por un SSD hay que abrir la carcasa. No hay escotilla de mantenimiento.

El Spin 1 resulta ser una máquina de escribir y navegar incansable.

The small computer can shine in terms of the battery life. In our practically relevant WLAN test, the convertible achieves a runtime of almost 9.5 hours. The built-in keyboard left a very decent impression and is also suitable for more frequent writing tasks. The Full HD IPS display pleases with stable viewing angles, a good contrast, and a very decent color reproduction. The brightness, however, could have been higher.

El pequeño ordenador destaca con su aguante de batería. En nuestro test WLAN realista, el convertible logra un aguante de casi 9.5 horas. El teclado integrado causa una impresión decente y también es adecuado para las tareas de escritura más frecuente. El display Full HD IPS agrada con sus ángulos de visión estables, su buen contraste y su decentísima reproducción de color. El brillo, sin  embargo, podría haber sido más alto.
