And same goes for the camera changes which will be appreciated by the enthusiast. The more practical 100mm 4X lens for zoom and portraits is nice, finally bringing the iPhone on par with Android rivals, and the new square Center Stage front camera is industry leading and clever. Those who are not watching Apple events for recreation and are still happy rocking an iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro, however, should not be in much of a rush.

The advanced video suite (ProRes RAW, Apple Log, Genlock) further solidifies it as the iPhone for professionals. For most people, though, the regular iPhone 17 seems to cover the essentials so well that the Pro is harder to justify. Unless you need pro-grade video tools, extended zoom, or 1TB of storage, it sounds like the base iPhone 17 will finally do the job.

Apple A19 Pro 6-Core GPU: Un adaptador gráfico relativamente rápido con el que viene equipado el SoC Apple A18 Pro. Esta iGPU tiene 6 núcleos y está habilitada para RT; parece que se basa en la misma arquitectura que las GPU de la serie M4. En nuestras pruebas de octubre de 2024, consiguió superar a la GPU Apple M1 de 7 núcleos en muchas pruebas.
Estas tarjetas también deben ser capaces de aguantar todos los juegos actuales, pero la mayoría de ellos en configuraciones de detalles medios y bajos y con bajas resoluciones. Juegos más antiguos, o menos exigentes todavía pueden ser jugados con buena calidad de gráficos.

A19 Pro: Un potente procesador para smartphones y sucesor formal del A17 Pro. Cuenta con 2 núcleos de rendimiento y 4 núcleos eficientes junto con una NPU de 35 TOPS y la GPU A18 Pro de 6 núcleos. El A18 Pro deja bastante atrás al Dimensity 9300, así como al Apple A17 Pro y al Apple A18, con al menos un 10% de ventaja, en lo que a rendimiento multihilo se refiere; mientras tanto, la GPU de 6 núcleos consigue batir a la GPU M1 de 7 núcleos en muchas pruebas.
