Tiempos de respuesta del display

Los tiempos de respuesta del display muestran lo rápido que puede cambiar la pantalla de un color al siguiente. Tiempos lentos de respuesta pueden llevar a imágenes persistentes alrededor de objetos en movimiento o a displays borrosos. Particularmente los aficionados a los juegos 3D frenéticos deberían usar una pantalla con tiempos de respuesta rápidos.

Parpadeo de Pantalla / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Para atenuar el brillo de pantalla algunos portátiles están encendiendo y apagando la retroiluminación muy rápidamente. Esto se hace a una frecuencia que no debiera detectarse a simple vista. Si la frecuencia es demasiado lenta, la gente sensible podría experimentar problemas visuales, dolores de cabeza e incluso ver parpadeos.
Parpadeo de Pantalla / PWM detectado 25510 Hz ≤ 69 % de brillo

La retroiluminación del display parpadea a 25510 Hz (seguramente usa PWM - Pulse-Width Modulation) a un brillo del 69 % e inferior. Sobre este nivel de brillo no debería darse parpadeo / PWM.

La frecuencia de 25510 Hz es bastante alta, por lo que la mayoría de gente sensible al parpadeo no debería ver parpadeo o tener fatiga visual.

Comparación: 51 % de todos los dispositivos testados no usaron PWM para atenuar el display. Si se usó, medimos una media de 9418 (mínimo: 43 - máxmo: 142900) Hz.

El Lenovo Yoga 15 puede describirse adecuadamente como "aprendiz de mucho, maestro de nada". Abarca varias categorías de portátiles diferentes y lo hace bien en todas, pero en general hace sacrificios para acomodar un abanico de escenarios tan grande. Es un convertible con madera gaming, un portátil multimedia con diseño 2-en-1, y un portátil gaming básico portable bien construido. Con potencial para tantos casos de uso diferentes es difícil encontrar una cosa que el Yoga 720 haga excepcionalmente bien.

El chasis tiene una construcción exquisita y parece discreto y elegante. El teclado es genial para el usuario casual y para el mecanógrafo. La pantalla tiene un perfil de color homogéneo que mejora mucho con los calibrados. La inclusión de una CPU quad-core y una dGPU son añadidos bienvenidos respecto a los componentes de baja potencia que suelen encontrarse en los 2-en-1s. 

Pero la selección de puertos es magra. El teclado no tiene nada sobresaliente. La pantalla es muy reflectante, lo que es problemático con la iluminación errónea. Y la CPU se ralentiza mucho para mantener temperaturas razonables. 

En general, el Lenovo Yoga 720 es un portátil decente para "hacerlo todo". Es un dispositivo versátil y muy capaz, que llena el hueco entre convertible, multimedia, y gaming de gama baja. Si bien hay portátiles que superan al Yoga 720 en cada una de las respectivas categorías, es una buena opción para quien busque un "todoterreno" con varios estilos diferentes en un paquete.
