Los tiempos de respuesta del display muestran lo rápido que puede cambiar la pantalla de un color al siguiente. Tiempos lentos de respuesta pueden llevar a imágenes persistentes alrededor de objetos en movimiento o a displays borrosos. Particularmente los aficionados a los juegos 3D frenéticos deberían usar una pantalla con tiempos de respuesta rápidos.

Parpadeo de Pantalla / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Para atenuar el brillo de pantalla algunos portátiles están encendiendo y apagando la retroiluminación muy rápidamente. Esto se hace a una frecuencia que no debiera detectarse a simple vista. Con el Media 15, Schenker ofrece un sólido portátil multimedia. Sobre el papel el hardware del dispositivo pinta bien, y los resultados de nuestras pruebas confirman que el portátil ofrece un rendimiento genial. Sin embargo, es importante que los posibles compradores elijan los componentes hardware con cuidado para no acabar con un dispositivo desequilibrado. No obstante, hay algunos defectos que los compradores deberían tener en cuenta. La calidad del sonido es malísima y el aguante de batería es inferior a la media, aunque el display es buenísimo.

El Schenker Media 15 es un portátil multimedia sólido que ofrece muchas opciones de personalización de hardware, a través de las cuales los compradores pueden personalizar sus dispositivos ampliamente antes de comprarlo.

A lo largo de nuestro análisis, el Media 15 se colgó dos veces sin motivo aparente, y las altas temperaturas de CPU que medimos durante el test de estrés podrían tener implicaciones serias para la longevidad del dispositivo. No obstante, el Media 15 merece tenerse en cuenta para los compradores preocupados con el precio. Streaming de vídeo, edición de imagen, y aplicaciones 3D no son un problema para este dispositivo. Sin embargo, al jugar a videojuegos exigentes, habría que dar un descanso al dispositivo de vez en cuando para asegurarse de que las temperaturas CPU no se mantienen demasiado altas demasiado tiempo.
