Tiempos de respuesta del display

Los tiempos de respuesta del display muestran lo rápido que puede cambiar la pantalla de un color al siguiente. Tiempos lentos de respuesta pueden llevar a imágenes persistentes alrededor de objetos en movimiento o a displays borrosos. Particularmente los aficionados a los juegos 3D frenéticos deberían usar una pantalla con tiempos de respuesta rápidos.

La pantalla mostró tiempos de respuesta lentos en nuestros tests y podría ser demasiado lenta para los jugones.

Parpadeo de Pantalla / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Para atenuar el brillo de pantalla algunos portátiles están encendiendo y apagando la retroiluminación muy rápidamente. Esto se hace a una frecuencia que no debiera detectarse a simple vista. Si la frecuencia es demasiado lenta, la gente sensible podría experimentar problemas visuales, dolores de cabeza e incluso ver parpadeos.
Parpadeo de Pantalla / PWM detectado 200 Hz ≤ 90 % de brillo

La retroiluminación del display parpadea a 200 Hz (seguramente usa PWM - Pulse-Width Modulation) a un brillo del 90 % e inferior. Sobre este nivel de brillo no debería darse parpadeo / PWM.

La frecuencia de 200 Hz es relativamente baja, por lo que la gente sensible debería ver parpadeos y padecer fatiga visual por la pantalla (usado al brillo indicado a continuación).

Comparación: 53 % de todos los dispositivos testados no usaron PWM para atenuar el display. Si se usó, medimos una media de 18110 (mínimo: 5 - máxmo: 3846000) Hz.

El portátil multimedia de 17 pulgadas Pavilion 17-x110ng se vende por 699 euros. Está equipado con una combinación de un procesador Intel y una tarjeta gráfica dentro de un discreto chasis negro de plástico. La CPU Intel Core i5-7200U es un moderno chip Kaby Lake, y el eficiente SoC de doble núcleo proporciona rendimiento suficiente para la mayoría de las aplicaciones multimedia. También se agradecen los 8 GB de RAM DDR4 y no debería haber ningún problema con aplicaciones exigentes. La pantalla IPS proporciona buenos ángulos de visualización y la iluminación es buena y uniforme.

El HP Pavilion 17-x110ng nos ha convencido gracias al buen rendimiento del sistema, pero las posibilidades de usarlo para juegos son limitadas debido a la lenta tarjeta gráfica.

Una tarjeta gráfica dedicada es un buen añadido, pero deberías pensar en que uso le vas a dar ya que su rendimiento solo permite jugar con fluidez a bajas resoluciones. La solución de almacenamiento es buena y mala a la vez. Tiene sentido usar un rápido SSD como unidad del sistema, pero 256 GB pueden no ser suficiente para un dispositivo multimedia, en el que cuanto más espacio mejor.
