Caso

Visualmente, apenas hay diferencias entre el Minisforum Neptune Serie HX90Gy la Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G. La carcasa sigue estando construida principalmente de plástico, con algunos pequeños elementos visuales de carbono añadidos. La fabricación de nuestra unidad de prueba es buena, aunque también habríamos apreciado una selección de materiales de mayor calidad. Con elMinisforum Neptune Serie NAD9el fabricante ya demostró que las cosas también se pueden hacer de otra manera. El ordenador incluye un soporte que permite colocarlo verticalmente sobre el escritorio. Pero no tiene por qué utilizarlo, ya que también puede manejar el dispositivo en horizontal sin ningún problema.

Mantenimiento

Básicamente, puede realizar tareas de mantenimiento con el Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G, ya que también puede comprar el dispositivo como una versión barebone de todos modos. Sin embargo, todavía tenemos una queja sobre el mismo punto en el HX99G como ya en el HX90Gsiendo su construcción básica la misma. Los tornillos para abrir la carcasa están escondidos debajo de las tiras de goma sobre las que descansa el dispositivo cuando se coloca horizontalmente, por lo que después de quitarlos, se corre el riesgo de que las tiras ya no se adhieran correctamente. Después de quitar los tornillos, la parte inferior de la carcasa se puede abrir con relativa facilidad. Debajo se encuentra una cubierta metálica adicional que también hay que quitar para acceder a la RAM, el SSD o el módulo Wi-Fi. Esta placa metálica sirve para sujetar las tapas laterales. Para acceder a los dos ventiladores, hay que desmontar más el dispositivo, pero se puede hacer fácilmente con algo de habilidad. El fabricante aconseja explícitamente no retirar el disipador de calor del SoC y la GPU. Ya se ha aplicado pasta térmica para facilitar la extracción del calor, por lo que no deberías tener que cambiar nada aquí, en nuestra opinión.

Rendimiento - SoC AMDs Rembrandt con un buen rendimiento

Minisforum ha equipado el Neptune Series HX99G con el nuevo AMDRyzen 9 6900HX. A primera vista, la actualización de la HX90G ofrece sólo un pequeño aumento de rendimiento, pero con DDR5 y Thunderbolt 4, el valor adicional de la nueva plataforma puede ser bastante alto. Con lasAMD Radeon RX 6600Mtambién hay una tarjeta gráfica bastante potente que nos permite ver el dispositivo como un PC de juegos en absoluto.

Condiciones de la prueba

Ejecutamos todas las pruebas de rendimiento con el perfil de potencia "Máximo rendimiento" activado. No cambiamos los parámetros de potencia de la CPU, dejándola en modo "Auto" según la configuración de la BIOS.

Procesador

ElAMD Ryzen 9 6900HXes un moderno procesador octa-core de la actual gama Rembrandt, capaz de funcionar con un total de 16 hilos en paralelo. En el Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G, sustituye alAMD Ryzen 9 5900HXlo que permite aumentar ligeramente el rendimiento general. Sin embargo, aún está lejos de ser un aumento de rendimiento notable, y ambos SoCs ofrecen la misma velocidad subjetivamente. Dado que Minisforum también ofrece la Serie Neptune como el HX80G con un AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, también incluimos este SoC en nuestra tabla comparativa.

Actualmente, la SSD de Kingston se utiliza con relativa frecuencia en los mini PC de Minisforum. Este es también el caso del Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G, un modelo que también ofrece un rendimiento muy bueno. Con 512 GB, el modelo utilizado aquí no ofrece un espacio de almacenamiento especialmente elevado, y también es el modelo más pequeño que ofrece el fabricante en sus sistemas preconfigurados. Sin embargo, como dispositivo de juego, debería tener al menos 1 TB de espacio de almacenamiento. Por suerte, también puedes ampliar el espacio de almacenamiento fácilmente más adelante usando la segunda ranura M.2. También queremos destacar aquí el buen rendimiento de lectura 4K, que mejora notablemente la carga de muchos ficheros pequeños.

El rendimiento 3D del Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G está a cargo, por un lado, de la AMD Radeon 680My por otro, la AMD Radeon RX 6600Mcomo adaptador gráfico dedicado cuando se necesita un mayor rendimiento. Además de la iGPU, el mini-PC ofrece así un sólido rendimiento 3D para aplicaciones exigentes. Esto ya lo sabemos por laMinisforum Neptune Series HX90Gy varios análisis de portátiles. Minisforum no limita el rendimiento máximo de la tarjeta gráfica dedicada, permitiendo que el acelerador 3D consuma hasta 100 vatios.

Durante la comparación sintética de rendimiento, nuestra unidad de pruebas se sitúa sólo en la parte media inferior del campo de comparación. La edad de la AMD Radeon RX 6600Mes notable en este punto, y los sucesores basados en RDNA-3 se están preparando. Los que sigan necesitando un mayor rendimiento 3D pueden usar la conexión Thunderbolt, que actualmente sólo se ofrece en la HX99G de la serie. Nos pusimos manos a la obra y documentamos el rendimiento en combinación con el Razer Core X y una Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. Con ello, conseguimos un rendimiento en nuestra comparativa que se corresponde con el del Minisforum NUCXi7con una Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 portátil. Al mismo tiempo, aún hay que conformarse con importantes limitaciones de rendimiento, ya que al usar Thunderbolt, la tarjeta gráfica externa solo se conecta a través de 4 carriles PCI Express.

Rendimiento en juegos

Debido a laAMD Radeon RX 6600Mel rendimiento de juego puro del Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G es bueno, ofreciendo aproximadamente la misma velocidad que el Minisforum Neptune Serie HX90G. El SoC más rápido es incapaz de asegurar un rendimiento notablemente superior aquí. En comparación con el Lenovo Legion 5 con la misma tarjeta gráfica, nuestro modelo de pruebas queda claramente por delante. La razón es el consumo de energía del acelerador de píxeles dedicado, que es de un máximo de 100 vatios en todo el Minisforum .

La refrigeración del Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G consiste en un total de siete heat pipes y dos grandes ventiladores. Minisforum utiliza pasta térmica aquí para una perfecta transferencia de calor desde el SoC y la GPU muere a los disipadores de calor. Durante el funcionamiento en reposo, el sistema funciona casi siempre de forma muy silenciosa y a 31,7 dB(A), casi en silencio. Bajo la carga de la prueba de estrés, nuestro dispositivo de medición apenas supera los 36 dB(A). Comparado con un portátil de juegos de equipamiento similar, es bastante más silencioso, y nuestra unidad de pruebas está lejos de producir un molesto ruido de ventilador de alta frecuencia.

Temperaturas

No hay ningún problema con las temperaturas de la carcasa del Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G. Con un máximo de 77.5 °C, el AMD Ryzen 9 6900HXtampoco se calienta especialmente y permanece lejos de su límite térmico. Sin embargo, las cosas parecen ligeramente diferentes con la tarjeta gráfica dedicada, como ya vimos anteriormente en el Minisforum Neptune Sereis HX90G. Aunque a 76 °C (169 °F), el chip en sí no es el problema, vemos una temperatura muy alta en los convertidores de voltaje a 102 °C (216 °F). Los valores separados son mínimamente mejores, si torturamos el dispositivo sólo con FurMark. Entonces sólo vemos 97 °C, mientras que en elHX90G. El fabricante parece haber optimizado ligeramente el disipador. Prueba del Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G, unidad de prueba proporcionada por Minisforum

Con el Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G, el fabricante realiza un mantenimiento de producto en sus PC de juego muy compactos. Con el nuevo AMD Ryzen 9 6900HXhay un SoC rápido, aunque es incapaz de asegurar un incremento notable en el rendimiento comparado con el AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX. Debido a la construcción compacta, vemos que como tan a menudo, la tecnología de portátiles también se utiliza aquí en estos PCs compactos. Normalmente esto funciona muy bien, ya que el rendimiento de los componentes por separado ha aumentado enormemente en los últimos años. Con el procesador octa-core nativo (AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX), hay rendimiento suficiente, y en combinación con la AMD Radeon RX 6600Mse puede disfrutar incluso de los juegos más actuales. Al igual que el Minisforum Neptune Series HX90G, el modelo actual HX99G también utiliza una carcasa casi idéntica. Visualmente, apenas hay diferencias. Sin embargo, si te fijas bien, puedes ver algunas diferencias en la parte trasera que se deben a una moderna variedad de conexiones. Ahora hay USB4 incluyendo Thunderbolt, que sólo está disponible en el HX99G en combinación con el AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX. Esto le permite ampliar el espectro de escenarios de uso para el ordenador compacto de manera significativa. Sin embargo, todavía tenemos una queja aquí, ya que HDMI sólo permite 4K@60Hz. El Minisforum Neptune Series HX90G es un PC gaming compacto y elegante para jugar a Full-HD sin compromisos.

También queremos destacar positivamente los bajos valores de emisión del Minisforum Neptune Series HX99G bajo carga. El dispositivo es relativamente silencioso, a pesar de que hay dos ventiladores que expulsan el calor de la carcasa. Nuestra unidad de prueba fue capaz de superar todas nuestras pruebas con un rendimiento sólido y sin mayores contratiempos. En cuanto al rendimiento del sistema, es capaz de seguir el ritmo de los PC de sobremesa normales, y el rendimiento en juegos también es respetable gracias a la AMD Radeon RX 6600M.
