Mantenimiento

Dado que Minisforum también vende el Venus Series UN1245 como variante barebone, huelga decir que hay que acceder al interior para instalar RAM o una SSD. Para ello, hay que desmontar la base. Esto puede hacerse retirando los tornillos que se encuentran debajo de las patas de goma. Quien desee limpiar el ventilador de la CPU tendrá que desmontar un poco más el aparato. Sin embargo, desaconsejamos desmontar el sistema de refrigeración ya que el Minisforum utiliza metal líquido para garantizar una disipación óptima del calor. Internamente, el Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 ofrece espacio para dos módulos SO DIMM y dos dispositivos de almacenamiento masivo.

Rendimiento - Alder Lake-H con 8 núcleos y 12 hilos

Con elIntel Core i5-12450Hel Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 ofrece un buen SoC pero que no pertenece a los modelos más actuales. En el uso diario, no prevemos ningún problema porque 8 núcleos y 12 hilos significan que el SoC también es capaz de manejar tareas exigentes. Un modelo idéntico que Minisforum comercializa como Venus Series UN1265 ofrece algo más de potencia con su Intel Core i7-12650H.

Condiciones de la prueba

Todas las pruebas de rendimiento se realizaron utilizando el perfil de energía de mayor rendimiento. El rendimiento del SoC no se alteró en la BIOS y se dejó de acuerdo con los ajustes de fábrica del fabricante. Se utilizaron diferentes perfiles de energía en las mediciones de emisión de ruido y energía, tal y como se define en nuestros criterios de prueba.

Procesador

Con elIntel Core i5-12450H, el Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 ofrece un veloz SoC que dispone de ocho núcleos de cálculo nativos y es capaz de procesar un total de 12 hilos simultáneamente. Sin embargo, en la prueba, observamos que nuestra muestra de revisión se sitúa por detrás delAcemagic AD15. La razón de esto se hizo evidente rápidamente porque Minisforum limita el consumo de energía del Intel Core i5-12450H a sólo 45 vatios. No obstante, el Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 no tiene necesidad de esconderse ya que el rendimiento del procesador es más que suficiente en situaciones cotidianas. El buen rendimiento de un solo núcleo no se ve afectado por esta limitación. Cualquiera que esté interesado en el Minisforum Venus Series UN1265, estructuralmente idéntico, debería fijarse en elMinisforum Venus Serie NAB6para orientarse.

Rendimiento del sistema

El Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 superó muy bien las pruebas comparativas sintéticas relacionadas con el rendimiento del sistema. Sin embargo, no fue suficiente para reclamar el primer puesto ya que el Minisforum Venus Series NAB6 demostró casi sistemáticamente un mejor rendimiento aquí. El Morefine, con su M600 660U, también es una seria competencia. Además, el Morefine M600 6600U está equipado con una memoria RAM más rápida (DDR5), como demuestran las pruebas AIDA64. Desde un punto de vista puramente subjetivo, el rendimiento del sistema del Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 es bueno y no notablemente peor que el de los dispositivos de la competencia.

Almacenamiento masivo

Minisforum ha instalado una unidad SSD NVMe de 512 GB de Kingston en el Venus Series UN1245. Minisforum también equipa algunos de sus otros mini PC con este modelo y ya nos impresionó su rendimiento en el Minisforum Venus Series NAB6. En nuestra muestra de revisión, observamos un mejor rendimiento, lo que significa que el UN1245 es casi con toda seguridad mejor en los puntos de referencia. Sin embargo, en el uso cotidiano, el rendimiento de la unidad SSD es más bien de segunda categoría. No obstante, celebramos que el fabricante haya dado el paso de apostar por unidades SSD sólidas y con un magnífico rendimiento, que anteriormente habían obtenido buenos resultados. En cuanto a la refrigeración, Minisforum tomó una nueva dirección con el NAB6instalando un refrigerador que incluía un pequeño ventilador. Sin embargo, con nuestro Minisforum Venus Series UN1245, nos encontramos con un refrigerador pasivo convencional, una vez más. Esto no es suficiente para mantener estable el rendimiento de la SSD bajo carga continua.

El Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 puede equiparse con un total de dos dispositivos de almacenamiento masivo. Además de la unidad SSD NVMe, también hay espacio en el dispositivo para un almacenamiento masivo de 2,5 pulgadas. Pero hay que prestar atención a la altura máxima de siete milímetros.

Con poco más de 32 dB(A), el sistema es silencioso pero permanentemente audible. Si se empuja el aparato, rápidamente se vuelve más ruidoso y, a 39,8 dB(A), bastante más. Temperatura

La carcasa del Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 sólo se calienta ligeramente cuando funciona en reposo y bajo carga. Los puntos calientes térmicos sólo se encuentran en la zona de las rejillas de ventilación de la parte trasera del dispositivo.

Dado que Minisforum sólo suministra 45 vatios al Intel Core i5-12450H, no observamos ningún valor crítico en la prueba de estrés. Registramos un máximo de 80 °C en la prueba de estrés Prime95. Cuando la CPU y la iGPU se someten simultáneamente a estrés, la temperatura máxima desciende ligeramente porque el consumo de energía tiene que compartirse. Esa es también la razón por la que documentamos un menor rendimiento 3D con este dispositivo de revisión, ya que una refrigeración más eficaz significaría que el SoC podría funcionar a 95 vatios.

El Minisforum Venus Serie UN1245 es un discreto mini PC que se adapta maravillosamente al trabajo diario de oficina. Con el procesadorIntel Core i5-12450Hse obtiene un excelente SoC que es a la vez económico y capaz de manejar todo lo que se le eche encima. Desgraciadamente, el SoC no está a la altura de las expectativas, ya que el límite de potencia frena el rendimiento multinúcleo. Es cierto que, desde un punto de vista subjetivo, esta limitación no es especialmente perceptible. Debido a la diferencia de precio con los dispositivos de mayor calidad de la serie Venus, tendrá que conformarse con una carcasa de plástico. Con sólo 310 dólares, la Minisforum Venus Series UN1245 es muy asequible y eso puede marcar la diferencia. Por supuesto, no hay que olvidar que los 310 dólares sólo se refieren al sistema barebone y nuestra muestra de revisión tiene un precio de venta de unos 429 dólares. Pero, incluso esto sigue siendo muy barato si se tiene en cuenta la potencia.

En cuanto a las opciones de conectividad, sólo en un segundo vistazo se hace evidente que estamos ante la versión más barata de la serie Venus. Mientras que el Minisforum Venus Series NAB6 aún venía con LAN dual instalada, aquí sólo tiene una toma de red. Thunderbolt también está ausente, lo que no era el caso del Minisforum Venus Series NPB5.
