EN→ESDell's lowest cost Inspiron 15 laptop certainly is affordable at $400 and offers a good deal of performance from its Core i3 processor. It also sets itself apart from its competition with small things such as easy to upgrade memory and Bluetooth support. All of this is tempered by the fast that this is an older chassis so it lacks modern features like USB 3.0 or even the customization that Dell offers for its more expensive 15R series.

The Dell Inspiron 15z is a very good performer in office applications and even gaming. It looks good and has a decent build quality. The large 15.6" screen and the comfortable full-sized keyboard along with the responsive touchpad make it an ideal desktop replacement. Moderate gaming is also possible, thanks to the NVIDIA GeForce GT630M. However, it is a little too heavy to be considered portable. Also, it doesn't really give you the battery backup to stay away from a charging point for a long duration. The Inspiron 15z is rather expensive at Rs 75,000. In day to day applications, you can also opt for the ASUS S550CM, which is also a good performer, and although it has a slower Core i5, or the Acer Aspire M3 Touch.

Only the screen disappoints in that respect and that might not be a problem for those planning to work using an external screen. We truly enjoyed the A/V capabilities of the 15Z – there’s nothing quite as easy as throwing your favorite DVD onto this and kicking back – as long as it’s only you. An IPS screen could have widened, literally, the viewer opportunity.

Dell:
Dell Inc. es una corporación tecnológica que desarrolla, fabrica, vende, y ofrece soporte a ordenadores personales y otros productos relacionados con la informática. Con sede en Texas, Dell da empleo a más de 82,700 personas alrededor del mundo (2009). En 2006, Dell compró el fabricante de hardware Alienware. En más países. Los portátiles se venden directamente a los clientes por Dell y cada portátil fabricado y personalizado de acuerdo a una selección de opciones. La cuota de mercado respecto a las ventas de ordenadores personales en 2007 (estudio de mercado IDC): HP 18.9 %, Dell 16.4 %, Acer 9.9 %, Lenovo 7.5 %, Apple 5.7 %.
Estos procesadores gráficos pueden mostrar únicamente juegos antiguos, fluidamente. Juegos actuales pueden ser presentados con detalles sustancialmente reducidos.
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: GPU integrado (memoria compartida) em el chipset GM45 (Montevina). Intel Core 2 Duo: Este es el sucesor Core Duo y el Core Solo con un pipeline más largo y con una velocidad entre 5-20% sin mayor consumo de energía. Adicional al diseño de Core Duo existe un cuarto decodificador, una unidad SSE ampliada y una unidad lógica aritmética (ALU) adicional.
Sus características son: 2 núcleos (cores), una amplificación de comando de 64-bit EM64T y 2 o 4 MB L2 Cache y 291 millones de transistores, que son acabados en 65nm. Mas allá de esto, todos los tipos soportan técnicas "Execute Disable Bit", SSSE3 (SSE4), Enhanced Speedstep, LaGrande y la mayoría de técnicas de virtualizacion (VT) Vanderpool.
El Core 2 Duo para laptops es idéntico a los procesadores Core 2 Duo para desktops, pero los procesadores para notebooks trabajan con tensiones más bajas (0.95 a 1188 Volt) y un Frontside bus clock (1066 contra 667 MHz). El rendimiento de laptops cuena con una frecuencia de 20-25% más baja que PCs Desktop debido a una frecuencia más baja de Frontside bus y los discos duros más lentos.
T6400: Procesador dual core de nivel básico basado en el núcleo Penryn con un cache de apenas 2 MB de nivel 2 y una frecuencia baja.
SU7300: Lento procesador dual core con un TDP bajo de 10 Watts.
Intel Core i3:
330M: La Core i3-330M es una 350M con menor velocidad de reloj y por tanto carece tambien de la característica Turbo Boost y la velocidad máxima de reloj es de 2.13 GHz. Gracias a Hyperthreading, se pueden procesar 4 hilos de forma simultanea. Se incluyen en el paquete una tarjeta gráfica integrada (GMA HD 3150) y un controlador de memoria DDR3.
2350M: Procesador Dual-core basado en la arquitectura Sandy Bridge con una tarjeta de vídeo integrada y controlador de memoria dual-channel DDR3. El CPU tiene una frecuencia de 2,3 GHz y posee Turbo Boost 2.0 sólo para la tarjeta de video.
3217U: CPU ULV basado en Ivy-Bridge en el segundo trimestre de 2012. Ofrece una frecuencia de 1,8 GHz (sin Turbo Boost) y un GPU HD 4000 (350 - 1050 MHz). El TDP es de 17 W.
Intel Pentium Dual Core: El procesador Double Core con una muy buena relación de rendimiento a consumo de corriente. Los 2 MB L2 Cache son utilizados juntos al doble. La capacidad máxima de 31 watts es únicamente 4 watts mayor que la Pentium M (predecesor).
T4400: CPU de nivel bajo a medio con 1 MB de cache de nivel 2 y sin tecnología de virtualización. Comparada con la linea Core 2 Duo, algunos mecanismos de ahorro de energía están desactivados.
Intel Core i5:
480M: El Core i5-480M sólo tiene cache de 3 MB L3 (comparado con el I7-620M) y funciona con una frecuencia entre 2,66-2,9 GHz (Modo Turbo). Gracias al Hyperthreading, 4 threads pueden ser procesados simultáneamente. Una tarjeta de video integrada (GMA HD) y un controlador de memoria DDR3 también están incluidos en el paquete.
3317U: CPU ULV basado en Ivy-Bridge en el segundo trimestre de 2012. Ofrece una frecuencia de 1,7 - 2,6 GHz y un GPU HD 4000 (350 - 1050 MHz). El TDP es de 17 W.
Intel Core i7:
3537U: Veloz CPU ULV basado en Ivy-Bridge en el primer trimestre de 2013. Ofrece una frecuencia de 2,0 - 3,1 GHz y un GPU HD 4000 (350 - 1200 MHz). El TDP es de 17 W.
Intel Pentium:
15.6: Variantes de la pantalla de 15 pulgadas son el estándar y son usadas para más de la mitad de todas las portátiles.
La razón del porque a tantas personas les gustan pantallas con tamaño mediano es, que ese tamaño no es exhaustivo para los ojos, no necesita de mucha energía, pero por otro lado las portátiles pueden ser mantenidos bien compactos.
