Spreadtrum SC8830

 SC8830

El Spreadtrum SC8830 es un SoC (System on a Chip) económico de gama baja que suele ser utilizado en smartphones basados en Android. Es producido en 28nm e integra una CPU quad-core Cortex-A7 con velocidad de cerca de 1,2 GHz, una GPU ARM Mali-400 MP2 (benchmarks), un controlador de memoria LPDDR2/3, y un módulo de radio para HSPA+, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, y Bluetooth 4.0.

Debido a la baja velocidad de 1,2 GHz, los cuatro núcleos de CPU solo se sitúan en la gama baja de SoCs Android similar al MediaTek MT6589. Cuidado, en el Samsung Galaxy J1, el SoC es recortado a una versión dual-core, y, por tanto, muestra un rendimiento inferior en aplicaciones multi-threaded.

Gracias al proceso de 28nm y a los pequeños núcleos A7, el consumo de energía es bastante bajo y, por lo tanto, el SoC puede ser utilizado en pequeños smartphones.
