Intel i9-10980XE

El Intel Core i9-10980XE es un procesador de gama alta para escritorio/estación de trabajo basado en la serie Cascade Lake-X. Integra 18 núcleos de procesador que funcionan entre 3 y 4,6 GHz (Turbo Boost 3.0). En comparación con el i9-9980XE, el 10980XE aumentó la velocidad del reloj Turbo en 200 MHz y ofrece instrucciones adicionales del AVX-512 para tipos de datos pequeños (8 Bit y 16 Bit enteros). La arquitectura básica sigue siendo similar a la de Skylake. Gracias a HyperThreading la CPU puede manejar hasta 36 hilos a la vez. Los núcleos individuales están conectados por una malla en lugar del bus en anillo en las CPUs de consumo.

El rendimiento en aplicaciones multi-hilo del CPU de 18 núcleos es excelente, sin embargo en juegos y cargas de trabajo con menos hilos, las CPUs de consumo de reloj rápido como el Core i9-9900K son más rápidas.

La CPU está especificada con un TDP de 165 vatios y por lo tanto necesita un sistema de refrigeración grande y capaz.
