AMD C-60

El AMD C-60 (nombre en clave Ontario) es un procesador dual core para pequeños portátiles y netbooks. Ofrece una tarjeta gráfica integrada relativamente potente y un controlador de memoria DDR3(L)-1066 de canal único. Comparado con la C-50, la C-60 ofrece la misma tasa de reloj base pero además un ligero overclock turbo hasta los 1.33 GHz.

Dentro del C-60 dos núcleos Bobcat pueden acceder a la caché L2 de 512KB por núcleo. En comparación con procesadores Atom, la arquitectura Bobcat usa una ejecución "fuera-de-orden" que lo hace mas rápido pese a tener la misma tasa de reloj. Sin embargo, el rendimiento es mucho peor que los núcleos Penryn (Celeron) o Danube (Athlon II) de similar velocidad.

La tarjeta gráfica integrada AMD Radeon HD 6290 ofrece 80 shaders y un procesador de vídeo UVD3. En comparación con la lenta GMA 3150 de los procesadores Atom, la HD6290 ofrece mucho mas rendimiento y es casi tan rápida como la solución gráfica Nvidia ION. Comparado con la HD 6250 de la C-50, la 6290 también ofrece Turbo Core para acelerar hasta los 400MHz (misma velocidad base de 276MHz).

La velocidad del procesador queda entre la de un Atom N455 nucleo único a 1.6 GHz y un Atom N550 dual core dependiendo del banco de pruebas (ver debajo). Por tanto, el rendimiento sigue en la región dde los netbooks y sólo es apta para tareas de baja exigencia.

El consumo de energía tiene un TDP de 9 W según AMD y es por tanto algo mas alto que el de las CPUs Atom de núcleo único a 1.6 GHz.
