Intel Atom D525

El Intel Atom D525 es un procesador dual core que está destinado para nettops, pero también es utilizado en netbooks (como el Asus Eee PC 1215N). Consiste de dos núcleos Atom con frecuencia de 1,8 GHz y gracias al HyperThreading, el D525 es capaz de procesar cuatro threads al mismo tiempo. El D525 no posee Speedstep y, por lo tanto, corre con 1,8 GHz todo el tiempo (y usando mucho más energía que otros Atoms sin carga).

En el paquete del procesador, el Atom D525 tiene un controlador integrado de memoria DDR2/DDR3 y la tarjeta de video GMA 3150.

El rendimiento del D525 puede estar al nivel de CPUs de un núcleos de frecuencia baja como el Intel SU2700 o AMD K125 si ambos núcleos son utilizados. En aplicaciones single threaded, el rendimiento es claramente peor y apenas al nivel de un CPU Atom de 1,8 GHz.
