AMD V-Series V140

El AMD V140 de la serie V (algunas veces también llamado Sempron V140) e un procesador de un núcleo para portátiles económicos. Se basa en el núcleo Champlain, que debe usar una arquitectura K10. Como los CPUs dual core Athlon II P y N, el V140 ofrece apenas un FPU (Unidad de Punto Flotante) de 64 Bit. Por lo tanto, el CPU también presenta un controlador de memoria DDR3 integrado.

Comparado en el más lento (contraparte de Atom) AMD V105, el V140 ofrece una frecuencia mucho más alta y un HyperTransport 3.0 link más veloz (con 1600 MHZ - HT3200). El rendimiento debe estar el mismo nivel de un procesador Celeron de un núcleo e 2,2 GHz.

Especificado con un TDP de 25 Watts, el procesador puede ser usado en portátiles con pantallas de 13 pulgadas y más.
