AMD A4-3300M

El AMD A4-3300M (Nombre en clave Llano) es un procesador dual-core para portátiles de nivel básico. Es parte de la familia de APUs (=Unidades de Procesamiento Acelerado) Fusion  y cuenta ocn una tarjeta gráfica integrada Radeon HD 6480G. El núcleo del procesador va a 1.9 GHz de velocidad base y es capaz de hacer overclock automático hasta los 2.5 GHz (TurboCore, dependiendo de la temperatura y los núcleos usados).

El núcleo del procesador está basado en la familia Husky 12h. Comparados con procesadores móviles Phenon II, el núcleo Husky es muy similar pero incluye un divisor de hardware adicional. Sin embargo, el rendimiento por reloj debería ser similar al de los viejos procesadores móviles Turion II, Athlon II, Phenom II (ya que el Llano no tiene caché L3).

El rendimiento de la parte del procesador debería ser comparable con un previo AMD Athlon II M320. Gracias al TurboCore el rendimiento de hilo único debería ser ligeramente mejor y el multihilo ligeramente mas lento. Por tanto, el rendimiento es claramente peor que el de los procesadores a la misma velocidad basados en Sandy Bridge (p.ej. Core i3-2310M).

Las APUs Llano cuentan con una tarjeta gráfica integrada capacitada para DirectX 11 con un máximo de 400 núcleos. La versión llamada AMD Radeon HD 6480G de la serie A4 sin embargo ofrece sólo 240 núcleos a 444MHz. No tiene memoria dedicada y tampoco es capaz de usar la caché integrada (a diferencia del Intel HD 3000). Lo que es mas, la APU también cuenta con un procesador de vídeo UVD3 integrado para decodificar completamente la mayoría de vídeos HD (como H.264, VC-1, MPEG4).

La A4-3300M también cuenta con un controlador de memoria dual-channel con soporte para memoria DDR3(L)-1333 y un controlador PCIe 2.0.

El TDP de 35 Watt de la APU (incluyendo tarjeta gráfica y controlador de memoria) lo hace mas adecuada para los portátiles de 14 o 15 pulgadas.
