Intel i7-7560U

El Intel Core i7-7560U es un veloz SoC dual-core para portátiles y Ultrabooks, basado en la arquitectura Kaby Lake y fue anunciado en enero de 2017. La CPU tiene dos núcleos de procesador con velocidades de 2,4-3,8 GHz (dos núcleos hasta 3,7 GHz). El procesador puede ejecutar hasta cuatro threads simultáneamente gracias al Hyper Threading. también estpa equipado con una GPU Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 con 64 MB de eDRAM, un controlador de memoria dual-channel (DDR4), y de- codificador de vídeos VP9 y H.265. El chip aun es producido en un proceso de 14 nm con transistores FinFET.

Comparado con el Core i7-7500U, el 7560 tiene un Turbo single-core más alto de 3,8 GHz (+300 MHz) e un Turbo dual-core más alto (+200 MHz). La frecuencia base es más baja (-300 MHz), pero la parte de la CPU también puede utilizar los 64 MB de eDRAM como cache L5.

Arquitectura

Intel básicamente utiliza la misma micro arquitectura comparada con Skylake, por ellos, el rendimiento por-MHz no se diferencia. El fabricante solo reformuló la tecnología Speed Shift para ajustes dinámicos más veloces de voltajes y frecuencias, y el mejorado proceso de 14nm permite frecuencias mucho más altas, combinado con mejor eficiencia que antes.

Rendimiento

A 2,4-3,8 GHz, el Core i7-7560U tiene una frecuencia un poco inferior (excepto por el Turbo single-core) en comparación con el Core i7-7600U, pero la parte de la CPU también puede utilizar los 64 MB de eDRAM, por tanto, el rendimiento debe ser similar.

Gráficos

La Intel Iris Plus 640 Graphics integrada es el modelo GT3e de la GPU Kaby Lake (Intel Gen. 9,5). Posee 48 Unidades de Ejecución corriendo a 300-1050 MHz y el rendimiento es comparable al de una GeForce 920MX gracias al veloz cache eDRAM. Sin embargo, no existen mejorías significantes, en comparación con la antigua Iris Pro 540, por tanto, los juegos modernos, a menudo, no podrán ser jugados fluidamente o solo con las configuraciones más bajas o medianas, respectivamente.

Contrario a Skylake, Kaby Lake también soporta H.265/HEVC Main 10 con una profundidad de colores de 10-bits, así como el codec VP9 de Google. Los procesadores dual-core Kaby Lake, anunciados en enero, también deben soportar HDCP 2.2.

Consumo de Energía

El chip es producido en un proceso de 14nm mejorado, con transistores FinFET, que mejoran la eficiencia aun más. Intel aun especifica el TDP con 15 Watts, lo cual es típico para chips ULV. Dependiendo del escenario de uso, el TDP puede variar entre 7,5 (cTDP Down) y 25 Watts.
