AMD R7 4800U

El AMD Ryzen 7 4800U es un procesador para portátiles delgadas y livianas basado en la arquitectura Renoir. El 4800U integra los ocho núcleos basados en la micro arquitectura Zen 2. Tienen una velocidad de 1,8 (velocidad base garantizada) a 4,2 GHz (Turbo) y admiten SMT / Hyperthreading (16 threads). El chip se fabrica en el proceso moderno de 7 nm en TSMC y, en parte, gracias a eso, AMD anuncia un rendimiento 2 veces mejor por Watt para los chips Renoir. Comparado con el similar llamado Ryzen 7 4800H, el 4800U ofrece un TDP más bajo (15 versus 45 Watts) y una velocidad base (1,8 versus 2,9 GHz).

Según AMD, el Ryzen 7 4800U es un 4% más rápido en la prueba single thread Cinebench R20 y un 90% más rápido en la prueba multithreaded en comparación con el rápido Intel Core i7-1065G7 (Ice Lake, 4 núcleos, 3,9 GHz). Esto significa que la CPU debería ser uno de los procesadores más rápidos en el rango de TDP de 15 Watts y adecuada para tareas exigentes. Sin embargo, el rendimiento sostenido depende en gran medida del sistema de enfriamiento y la configuración de TDP del portátil.

Además de los ocho núcleos de CPU, la APU también tiene una tarjeta gráfica integrada Radeon RX Vega 8 con 8 CU y hasta 1750 MHz.
