AMD R5 PRO 3500U

El AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U es un SoC móvil para portátiles de empresa que fue anunciado en abril de 2019. Combina cuatro núcleos Zen+ (8 hilos) registrados a 2,1 - 3,7 GHz con una tarjeta gráfica Radeon RX Vega 8 con 8 CUs (512 Shaders) registrados hasta 1200 MHz. Especificada a 15 vatios TDP, la SoC está pensada para portátiles delgados de gama media. En comparación con la variante de consumo similar Ryzen 5 3500U, el modelo PRO presenta características adicionales de gestión y seguridad (por ejemplo, cifrado de memoria completa) y mayor garantía/disponibilidad.

Los Picasso SoCs utilizan la microarquitectura Zen+ con ligeras mejoras que deberían conducir a un 3% de mejoras en el IPS (rendimiento por reloj). Además, el proceso de 12nm permite mayores velocidades de reloj con consumos de energía similares.

El controlador de memoria de doble canal integrado soporta hasta la memoria DDR4-2400. Como las características de las APU de Picasso son las mismas que las de sus predecesores de Raven Ridge, señalamos nuestro artículo de lanzamiento de Raven Ridge.

AMD afirma que las APU de Picasso son alrededor de un 8% más rápidas que las predecesoras. Por lo tanto, el Ryzen 5 3500U debería estar por delante del Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U (2 - 3,6 GHz) y casi a la par con el Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U (2,2 - 3,8 GHz).
