Intel Core i7-10610U
El Intel Core i7-10610U es un SoC de cuatro núcleos de bajo consumo para portátiles basados en la generación de Comet Lake (CML-U) y fue anunciado en agosto de 2019. En comparación con los procesadores similares de Whiskey Lake (por ejemplo, el Core i7-8665U), la única diferencia es la compatibilidad con velocidades de memoria más altas (DDR4-2666 frente a 2400) y dos núcleos adicionales en el modelo superior (no en este i7-10610U). Los núcleos del procesador están cronometrados entre 1,8 y 4,9 GHz (sin verificar). Gracias a HyperThreading se pueden utilizar 8 hilos. Comparado con el similar Core i7-10510U, el 10610U soporta vPro.
Gracias a las altas velocidades de reloj, el rendimiento del procesador del i7-10510U es muy bueno para su clase. Debería superar ligeramente al superior Whiskey Lake i7 (i7-8665U) y también a los procesadores Ice Lake si los ajustes de refrigeración y TDP no son limitantes.
La tarjeta gráfica integrada, sin embargo, sigue siendo la misma que en las generaciones anteriores. Debería seguir llamándose Intel HD Graphics 620 y el reloj de 300 - 1150 MHz en el i7. Además, el SoC integra un de- y codificador VP9 y H.265 y un controlador de memoria integrado de doble canal DDR4-2666 / LPDDR4x 2933 / LPDDR3-2133.
El chip se sigue produciendo en el proceso de 14nm++ como Whiskey Lake. El TDP (PL1) está especificado a 15 Vatios pero puede variar de 10 a 25 Vatios del fabricante (cTDP arriba/abajo) lo que resulta en un rendimiento diferente (especialmente las duraciones de los Turbo). Para proporcionar el rendimiento completo, Intel propone un pico de potencia corto de 82 W (PL4) para el i5 (90 W incluso para el i7 de 6 núcleos) y 11 W más que en Whiskey Lake.
