Samsung Exynos 7870 Octa
El Samsung Exynos 7 Octa es un SoC de 64-bits para smartphones y tablets mainstream (normalmente basados en Android). Fue anunciado en febrero del 2016 e integra ocho núcleos Cortex-A53, que son producidos en un moderno proceso de 14-nm. Comparado con los anteriores SoCs de 28-nm, el rendimiento fue incrementado y el consumo de energía es 30 % más bajo, según Samsung. El módem LZE Cat.6 integrado alcanza tasas de transferencia de hasta 300 Mbps (downstream) y 50 Mbps (upstream). El controlador de memoria dual-channel soporta RAM LPDDR3-1866.
El adaptador gráfico ARM Mali-T830 MP2 (velocidad de 700 MHz según Wikipedia) también es utilizado en combinación con el SoC HiSilicon Kirin 650. Además de OpenGL ES 3.2, también soporta OpenCL 1.2 bien como DirectX 11 (FL 9_3). El rendimiento es suficiente para juegos Android comunes de 2016 con detalles medianos.
